Kailani had not expected to wander so far away from her family’s home in Hota, but here she was. The young Kahi hybrid had gotten caught up in exploring the nature around the area that surrounded the cave entrance, the lush foliage and strange glowing creatures entrancing the girl who had spent years in Matori. It was also nice to enjoy a bit of fresh air and peace outside the walls of her Kahi family home which was full since they had vacationed here as a larger group with both of her mothers and family. Unfortunately, Kailani didn’t realize that another reason it was so peaceful outside was because of the approaching storm and by the time the first raindrop hit she was already far along the path, the entrance to the town lost in the pouring rain as she was forced to instead seek shelter elsewhere. Thankfully there was a smaller cave along the path which caught her eye, the hybrid running that way as she spotted it in the middle of the rainstorm.
Thank goodness! Now if she could just make it safely to the cave then she could simply wait out the storm there. She just hoped no one got too worried since she wasn't home now that it was pouring rain...
