Spring storms can often appear with out little notice and last for days. They are filled with strong winds and heavy rain, which means one must halt their travel if they are able to even get outside during the downpour. Your character has found themself stuck away from home in an area with others seeking to avoid the storm. Who do they meet? What do they talk about? How do they feel about the storm?
[ A storm has resulted in your character finding themself stuck in a location with others. Who do they encounter? What conversation do they have? And how do they feel about the strong storm rolling through? ]
As beautiful as the winds of Spring could be it was the storms that tore at Silfi the hardest. It was almost cruel, really, after having come out of winter that they would be teased with a few good days only to have heavy rains tear down the mountainside and cause the rivers to burst from their banks. If she'd been home there would have been barriers and plans in place to keep the village from taking on too much overflow, but out here-
-Well, she was screwed.
She'd decided to stay near the sanctuary a little longer than Yngvara and when time had come to go back so too came the storms. Silfi's hair lay plastered to her face as she tried her best to navigate the trail in front of her, but there wasn't much to see through the rain. Was she even still on the path? She wasn't even a day away from the sanctuary so the thought of turnign around was appealing, and yet...she wasn't even sure which way that was.

When the first storm cloud appeared on the horizon it was Revna who realized Silfi was still gone. So while the rest were scurrying about to gather animals, getting them into better shelters where possible for the oncoming onslaught of rain and wind, Revna had decided she would take care of seeking out her sister. Surely she wasn't that far out, right? So much for that. Revna let out a curse as she continued up the path in the forest, Polaris hopping along behind her since the rain had taken them from the sky for the time being. How far had Silfi hiked this morning?! They had flown around for quite a while, circling the forest and even going towards the mountains until the rain made it too difficult for Polaris to fly.
"Silfi!" Revna yelled out, somehow hoping her voice would carry even as she pressed forward through the torrential rains. If the winds would calm down for a moment just so that she could try to hear if anyone else was around in the forest! That would be a blessing indeed. At least Polari was with her, as miserable as the chiavi looked beneath the cloak that Revna had spread across his back to try to keep him from getting completely soaked the familiar was determined to stay with Revna as she pressed forward. She had tried to send him back before the rains got this bad, but the chiavi had stubbornly stayed at her side and so the pair continued pressing forward with Revna calling out her sister's name in between rumbles of thunder. Even if she did find Silfi out here then it wouldn't be easy to get back to the sanctuary, Revna realizing they would need to find shelter out here somehow until things calmed down again.

Silfi did her best to keep her eyes clear as she walked, but the intensity of the wind prevented her from seeing much. Branches were tossed this way and that, and even in the more open areas there was so much rain coverage that it looked like a thick fog. Her ponytail would often whip across her back and cause the girl's bare arms to sting. At the time she'd thought having lighter garb would be a nice change from home, but now she regretted it.
Something caught her ear in the storm, but just as quickly a boom of thunder caused her to jump. Choosing to press on, the teenager ignored it, playing it off as a trick of the mind until she could clearly hear her name through the wind! "I'M HERE! I'M OVER HERE!" Would anyone even hear her? Was anyone even there?

Revna kept a hand pressed against Polaris, the girl relying on him for support and also to keep an eye on him out of worry. Strangely enough getting a familiar of her own had gotten her a bit more accustomed to caring about others, at least with the chiavi, and it was not a pleasant feeling to glance over and see the familiar fighting against the onslaught of rain and wind. She didn't know whether she was more concerned or irritated at Silfi for getting caught out in this mess and if she was upset at herself for going out here to find her sister. Brennevin.
Tripping over a root, the teen slipped across the ground that had become a layer of muck thanks to the mixture of melting snow and pouring rain. Her leathers now dirtied, her braided hair a tangled and wet mess plastered against her skin, and her tunic torn....well, Revna was far from being in a pleasant mood at the moment. Still, as thunder boomed above her she swore she finally heard Silfi and for a second she felt some relief before annoyance swept back in with hail now pelting down around them. "WHERE?!" She yelled, pulling herself up from the ground with the help of Polaris so that she could trudge towards the sound of her sister's voice. "KEEP YELLING!" She swore she saw a figure up ahead, the wall of rain making it hard to see even as she pressed closer but Revna had to hope it was actually Silfi so that they could work towards finding some shelter until this storm passed. "Behind you!" She called out, her body poised to fight or run in case that wasn't Silfi just up ahead.

"HERE!" Silfi cupped her hands around her mouth and bellowed as loud as she could. The piercings in her ears absolutely burned from the cold and the bite of metal was just another reminder of how long she'd truly been out. If it wasn't for this storm, if it wasn't for her dawdling back in the sanctuary and dragging her feet about going home...A thousand reasons, a thousand excuses, and none of it mattered. She was still here, right now, right then, with her only chance at getting out of here beyond her sight.
When she heard the direction, Silfi whipped around and nearly fell when the ground sloshed beneath here. At first all she saw was the massive frame of the chiavi, but beside it - "REVNA!" Exhausted and half frozen, Silfi did her best to 'rush' to her sister.

It was Silfi! Despite the raging winds, Revna recognized her sister's voice and figure now that she was closer. The teen pressed forward until she could reach out and grab at her sister who was moving towards her. The ground was so mushy beneath their feet that it was hard to stand, Revna nearly falling again if not for Polaris pressing against her side. Once the wobbling stopped and she felt somewhat stable, the teen glanced around to try to regain her bearings of the area.
"I think I saw a cave before!" She managed in between gusts of wind, still yelling even though they were next to each other now. "It's back that way a bit, but we can make it."

It was so unbearably hard to pull her boots out of the mud, but Silfi tried her damnedest just to reach Revna. And when she was pulled to the other girl, nearly falling against her, she could have cried. "Really? I haven't seen anything." Was she really just that bad at navigating? No, no, she should have been able to do this; it was just the storm throwing her off.
"Lead the way! I'll follow!" Just trying to hear Revna in this gale was hard, but if there was a chance at hiding from it, even for a few moments, she was going to take it. "I've got the firestarter rune! I can make one when we get there I just get to get dry first!"

Revna nodded. She just hoped she was remembering correctly since it was something she had spotted while on Polaris before the storm truly broke out and blinded them both. "Either way we have to keep moving." She managed after a moment, nodding once more at the idea of a fire. Go figure that rune Silfi had could come in handy...if they could figure out how to use it. The thought made Revna frown, but she ignored it since they didn't have time to debate whether or not the idea was useful. They simply had to find shelter first.
"This way!" She tugged Silfi along after her, relying on Polaris to also help guide the way as they fought against the storm. Revna was soaking wet, probably had some bleeding scrapes from her earlier fall, her tunic and leggings were torn up and her hair would be a mess to untangle later but at least she had found Silfi. When they weren't in danger later she would probably chastise her, but for now she kept hold of her sister's hand as she kept navigating towards the cliffs that marked the border into Sauti. Eventually there was something jutting out, a rock she recalled seeming strange when she first spotted the cave and it was there she headed. Through the flash of lightning the opening was revealed and Revna just hoped it was big enough to fit all of them once they finally arrived.

Even though she was utterly soaked to the bone, Silfi's panic had started to die down and now she had a bit of hope. Her sister wasn't much warmer than she, but having that contact - that bit of physical touch - meant the world to her right now. And when they saw the cave Silfi picked up her step, very nearly running through the mouth of it and into the dry dark when a noise from within made her stop.
"Well, hello there girls."
If it had been any darker outside Silfi wouldn't have been able to see the figure at all, but as it stood a man approached them from somewhere near the back of the cave. He carried a torch in his hand and though the flame was pathetically tiny it was enough to illuminate his face. Older than them by far, but no older than their parents and clearly from Sauti.
"That's one hustle of a storm. Couldn't see my left from my right until I found this place. You two alright?"

Despite being soaking wet, Polaris still fluffed up next to her at the sudden noise. Revna wasn't much different with her hands immediately going for the hunting knife that was tied around her thigh. Her shoulders were tense especially since they were in the middle of a storm and now facing a stranger, the dangerous situation making her feel very on edge. Did they just turn away and go back out into the rain? Her gaze narrowed thoughtfully, worry flickering across her expression as she looked back towards Silfi. Wouldn't it be too dangerous to go back out like this? The rain only seemed to be coming down in more force, the thunder and lightning outside not relenting as they stood in the cave entrance.
"We're fine, just seeking shelter from the storm." She finally replied, her fingers tracing along the leather sheath of her knife. Thankfully the motion was hidden mostly by Polaris who Revna stood slightly behind as she studied the Sauti earthling. "We weren't expecting to find anyone else here. Did you get lost from the path?" Was he a merchant or something? She didn't think she recognized him from the village, not that she was there that often but still.

Silfi's hoary eyes shifted to the maelstrom outside before going back to her sister and the chiavi. They didn't have much of a choice but to trust the stranger. At the very least they had him outnumbered if he tried anything and - well - maybe he really was just looking for shelter?
"Well...sort of." The windling rubbed the back of his neck as he moved back to the stone he'd been using as a seat and made himself comfortable. "My wife and I were supposed to be on a romantic little trip, y'know? Like when we were younger. We'd go out into the wilds and explore places no one's ever been, but then we got into an argument." Even the way he said it came through clenched teeth and despite their situation Silfi found herself leaning into the gossip. What kind of fight had it been to separate them?
"Do you know where she's at? Or do you think she's found somewhere to hide?"
"That hussy probably caused this whole storm!" He waved his hands in the air, forgetting for a moment he was holding the torch until it went out completely and bathed the cave in darkness. "Goddess be damned!"

Revna blinked and simply blinked some more as she settled into the cave across from the stranger with Polaris tucked against her side. Somehow the chiavi had managed to squeeze into some space towards the back of the cave and acted as a pillow of sorts for the teen who was still baffled by this whole situation. "That's...alright then." She managed after glancing towards Silfi with a slightly raised brow. Was he married to some sort of strong summoner or something?
"Sounds like she must be awfully upset to cause a storm." Revna replied finally as she stroked Polaris, her fingers gently moving through to help shake out any pieces of hail that had managed to get through her cloak to his feathers and hadn't fully melted yet. Though if this man acted like that towards his wife...well she could slightly understand the reaction especially with such an attitude. A soft sight left her lips as she dug around in the dark for her satchel, pulling out some flint so that she could start a spark to try to light up the cave again. Kicking a pile of sticks together, some scattered pieces that weren't completely soaked having been in the cave, Revna pushed it towards the entrance for a small flickering fire so that the smoke could go out into the storm and away from them. It wasn't much, but hopefully it would last long enough for the skies to clear again. If not then she was seriously contemplating kicking the man out into the storm to find his wife and apologize, if what he said was actually true.

The entire time the cave had been swamped in darkness - save for the smattering of lightning outside - Silfi thought over his story. As exciting as it was she was smart enough not to take it at face value and yet...Now that Revna had struck a fire, a proper one, the teenager could see lines of worry on his face. Angry or not his mind was clearly with his wife.
"We said some nasty things....I said some nasty things..." He admitted with a murmur and when Silfi waved him over to the fire he came with a dejected shuffle.
"As long as you're both breathing you have time to put things to right." Silf said with a soft smile. After all, it wasn't as if she and her siblings - Revna, specifically - hadn't gotten into some harsh fights over the years. "Just...maybe take the storm as a sign to cool off and hope she does the same?"

Revna glanced over at Silfi, the teen bobbing her head in a small nod of approval at her sister's words. Perhaps the man didn't really mean to sound as angry as he had at first and truly was worried. At least that was how it appeared when she looked over at his expression and listened to his words. There definitely was a hint of regret there, something she had seen herself over the years with others after exchanging some harsh words. "It does sound as if the thunder and lightning are slowing down." She acknowledged as she listened to the sounds of the storm as the rain continued falling down outside.
"Once the skies clear I'm sure you'll find her. The main road is only a short walk from here and there's a town just ahead before the mountain pass, most probably would have went there for shelter once the rains began." She advised as well, watching the man as he pondered their words and kept an eye on the rain as slowly started to lessen and the storm passed.
