The lights begin to flicker slightly and then go out as the sound of thunder echos through the PA system. As a light mist fills the entryway and a soft blue light bathes the arena, the crowd hears a soft but meancing sound of footsteps before the rhythm of a tribal beat plays. A white light slowly blooms on the stage to show a figure dressed in black sitting cross legged in the entrance way.
As the opening chords of Absent in Body's Rise from Ruins hits, the blue light slowly turns red as the figure stands up from out of the mist as the crowd roars in response. Over the din, the announcer calls out:
"Introducing first...From Weimar Germany, weighing in at 298 lbs...Erynys Reich!"
As the music blares, Erynys makes it halfway down to ring side before the arena goes black. A single spotlight shines on the top turnbuckle where he stands staring out into the crowd. The lights go down again since made his way down to ringside and when they come up a final time, the crowd sees him in the center of the ring where he sits crossed legged. He then moves to the far corner where he discards his mask and cloak to the ringside attendant and waits for his opponent.

With that, it was time for the World Champion to take center stage!
STUCK IN MY WAYS
The voice of Zero's Matthew Cullen would blurt over the PA System as the crowd would get on their feet, booing at the man that his showcased not only his worth, but the World Championships worth since he regained it. Although, most people would see it as showcasing his cowardice. To each their own!
Trent would emerge from the smoke that would hide the stage. The World Heavyweight Championship around his waist as he worse his usual wrestling attire.
"Introducing at this time. Weighing in tonight at 246 pounds! From St. Paul, Minnesota! He is the DHW World Heavyweight Champion! The Initiator! TREEEENT!"
Trent would have made his way down the entrance ramp as the announcer did a wonderful job introducing Trent! While on his way down, Trent would see two things. Many fans who seemed ready for Trent to get torn apart. And the man that the fans wanted to tear him apart.
That's right. Trent was marching down the ramp and meeting a very familiar face in the center of the ring. Regardless of relationship, it didn't seem like either men would be greeting each other with open arms. In fact, when Trent looked further into the dark and sunken face of Erynys, he didn't really see someone he knew before.
Regardless, none of that matters anymore. Trent was here for a reason, and this was his first match since obtaining the World Championship, and he had to show everyone why that was the case.
Trent would enter the ring. Staring across the ring at the big german. Circling into his corner as he would pass the championship to the official outside. Getting ready for the big match he had ahead.

His head swung around at the sound of the music. There was no doubt he recognized the tune and the man it belonged to.
He kept stoic as he hoisted himself to his feet and watched his opponent saunter down the aisle with the gold in tow. In another life, he would have been over the moon happy for his brother. But now, circumstances were different, and instead of a reunion, he saw a chance to make his name at the expense of another.
As the bell rang, he would look to start the match with a traditional collar and elbow tie up.

The match would officially start and it seemed like Erynys wanted to start this match with a test of strength. Although Trent was no slouch, but the person in front of him is known for his strength.
Preparing himself, Trent would walk up and accept the lock-up. Looking to begin pushing back on his old friend.

He decided to use his strength to steer his opponent into the corner. As they backed up, the ref began a five count and implored the big German to break the hold.

Well. That went as well as expected. As the official would get near the five, Erynys would begin to back off. Trent would grin a bit, regaining his posture and exiting in the corner.
The official would step away from the two, letting the match continue after Erynys display of power.

The big German raised his hands as he looked to offer the champ a test of strength.

Trent would go in to the lock up once again, this time seeing what Erynys can do when Trent takes things to his level. Upon grappling, Erynys, Trent looked to sink and lock Erynys into a side headlock!

The champ accepted the lockup as the two men jockeyed for position. Yet the big Getman quickly found himself at the disadvantage being caught in the side head lock. He would attempt a few body shots to try and free himself.

Trent would eat the shots to the side, knocking the air out of the champ. But in response, he looked to lift the knee into the gut of Erynys before completely releasing the hold to favor the ribs.

The big German buckled as the knee drove the air out of him and he was forced to his knees and he began to cough violently as he tried to get air back into his lungs, unable to capitalize.

Trent may be a bit smaller, but he is well known for his striking potential as well as his technical ability. He would need any and all experience if he wanted to compete against the brute strength of Erynys.
Still feeling the strikes, Trent would stop favoring the ribs and look to grab the head of the kneeling German and send three precise strikes to the dome of the kneeling giant!

As he tried to get his wits about him from the blow to the gut, he found himself being rocked by the repeated shots to the head, the last of which left him crumbled in a heap.

Despite Trent having been friends with the person before him, he knew as much as anybody that he couldn't let feelings get in the way of the prize. The title wasn't on the line, but a loss definitely would kill any momentum. So he would continue the beat down!
Trent would stand over the fallen Erynys, sending strikes down onto the giant, looking to stomp specifically at any exposed joints. Elbows, knees, shoulders, ankle. Anything that was exposed and could cause a lot of damage, Trent was taking advantage of it!
