[Nuke Fusion] vs Rex Kobra

The lights in the arena go out, plunging the crowd into darkness. There is a slow beat that seeps from the speakers. As the main music of The Devil's Rejects hits the speakers, all the lights in the arena came on red. On each side of the ramp, there was now a line of cultists standing, heads bowed and faces hidden by their hoods. Standing in the center of the ramp is Rex Kobra, looking a bit different to how he usually did. He had his long coat but it was hoodless. It was a long trenchcoat, hanging all the way to his ankles and was made entirely of snakeskin dyed black. under it he had on a dark shirt complete with a white collar, making him look like a dark priest. There were no shades. Instead, he stared down at the ring with slitted-pupil eyes. Raven hair was slicked back, his face clean shaven, and drawn on his forehead was a crimson pentagram. There was a new intensity about him tonight. Behind him, Ramona stood dressed in her usual back-up garb.

Rex starts down the ramp, his sister following along. His attention never drifting away from the ring. Eyes unblinking focused on his opponent. If he could destroy the Redeemer, then he would achieve his true ascenion. He would be unstoppable. Apex had been a great steeping stone. All of those brilliant Crucifix Powerbombs, sacrifices to The Serpent. Destroying The Savage Sons had earned him goodwill from his deity. All he needed now was to corrupt the incorruptible. He cracked his neck and looked back to his sister for a moment as he methodically made his way to the ring.

"And introducing, accompanied by Ramona Tyler, weighing in at 328 lbs...From the The Defiler's Den...The High Priest of Hate...The Bishop of Bastards...The Savior of the Serpent...The Apex Predator...The Defiler...Rex Kooooooobra."

Rex stops at the end of end of the ramp, and raises his arms to his sides. He can feel the power of the family behind him. Lowering his arms, he makes his way to the steps and stomps up them. As he goes up, the cult starts to circle the ring. At the top, he moves to the middle of the apron and climbs into the ring by stepping over the top rope. In the ring, he moves to the center and drops to his knees. He extends his arms to his sides and gazes up to the heavens. For a moment, the red lights go out. As the lights come back on normal, the cult is nowhere to be seen.

Rex stands, removes his coat and hands it off to his sister who takes it and sets them on the steps in his corner. Rex straightens his Dark Priest shirt and when he can't seem to be happy with the sleeves, he simply tears them off and throws them from the ring before glaring at The Redeemer with a fire in his eyes that had yet to burn so bright.

As the bell rang, he moved from his corner, sizing up his opponent carefully, he knew that his strength might not be totally enough. He'd have to be smart as well. Find strengths and weaknesses. Find the best way to stick the legend with his venom.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Nuke stepped forward, eyes locked on Rex, as he spoke to him.


"Rex.. today is the day of your judgement, the day of your reckoning.

Make it easy on yourself, and just .. give up now."

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex stared at Nuke for a moment. The words went into his skull and fluttered about for a moment as Rex formulated a plan of attack. A smile formed on his lips.

"And lo, the weak begs the mighty..."

With that Rex would move forward and attempt to deliver a solid right to Nuke's skull. If it connected, he would try to follow it up with a forceful chop to Nuke's chest.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Crack!

Chop!

Chop!


The crowd let out their 'Woooo!'s as the chops connected, and Nuke was immediately on the back foot. He took the chops and gritted his teeth, clenching hard as he felt that pain.

Immediately roaring back, he attempted a hard heatbutt to retaliate.

 

[Undead Superstar]

The headbutt connected, causing Rex to back up a couple steps, shaking his head in an attempt to keep cobwebs from forming early.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Nuke had to step back for a second, shaking his head and checking his chest..

Before he lunged forward with a clothesline attempt!

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex had just managed to shake off the pain of the headbutt before looking back to Nuke... just in time to get laid out by a clothesline.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Could this be it.. a quick win?

Nuke dropped over Rex for a pinfall, hooking his leg!

 

[Undead Superstar]

"1..."

Just as the ref's hand landed...Rex let out an angry growl as he forcefully kicked out of the pin attempt. After kicking out, he started to let out a low chuckle at the early attempt.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Nuke looked down at Rex chuckling., and had a worried look upon his own face.

He slowly got to his feet, keeping his eyes on his opponent.

"Come on then, get up. Let's do this!"

 

[Undead Superstar]

Rex slowly got to his feet, keeping his focus on Nuke, locating him by the sound of his voice. On his feet, he looked toward his opponent. He stalked toward Nuke, with a vicious predatory grin, and attempted to catch Nuke in a simple collar-and-elbow tie-up, and trying to catch him with a knee to the gut if Nuke accepted it.  

[-Nuclear Fusion-]

Nuke got the lockup in and ..

Crack!

The knee was vicious, and had Nuke doubling over in pain. Creeker was really taking it to him!

 

[Undead Superstar]

With Nuke doubled over, Rex would smirk and move off to the side of his opponent before raising his clasped fists up and attempting to bring them down onto Nuke's back in a clubbing fashion.
