Fajra was sitting by the window in their humble abode watching the spring rains arrive. It seemed to be coming down really hard and she was worried that Kya’s hardworking of planting seeds and saplings would be destroyed with the strong rainfall. It was too wet to go outside to do anything productive so now her family was stuck inside, she wondered what they could do to keep themselves busy. She looked over at Kya “Kya; is your garden going to be okay with this storm?” She asked him curiously. “Aukai Oceansoul” sorry it took awhile but got one in

Kylaelya 1 It was one of those storms that you knew was just not going to quite over night. "I think we had better break out the tea, I can do nothing about this level of rain except perhaps replant what does not survive. This is a work of nature that even I cannot counteract." He sighed staring out at the rain that they needed but instead of smaller showers over time the sky had opened up and gave them all the water they would need all at once which was too much for most of his stock. Even he was not going out to brave that amount of wet chaos.
"It will be fine, it is still early enough in the season, this is why I have backups for the backups but still all that work probably gone within the span of time that the storm stays in the area. He was trying not to let it show how much he cared on his face, but it was too wet, there was no where for the plants to go. His greenhouse was already full of plants waiting to go out, they would be okay at least.

Fajra nodded her head as he reassured her that the garden would be okay but she couldn’t help but still be worried about it “thats good to know but i can’t help but be worried that if we need to replant anything that would be a huge undertaking overall” she voiced to him. While the children were still around and could help if there needed to be replanting. At the same time she hoped the storm wouldn’t set back the growth and blooming of the spring plants. She nibbled her lower lip a little but she knew she couldn’t do anything about the problem until the rains stopped.
She let out a soft sigh hopefully there wouldn’t be any major damage to their garden after the storm passed. On the bright side the two of them had some one on one time that could possibly take advantage of.

"There is little we can do my love, in a storm like this, the winds are so fierce they could take any of the old trees around down and I don't relish anyone getting caught in the wrong place. It will be a lot of work to replant but maybe some will survive..." Acts of nature were beyond his control, but the tenacity of the garden and the will of the gardener is what made the partnership work they would endure and thrive and he might get to plant those fancy seeds too that he had bought at market from a far walking traveler. He hugged her. "It will all be okay, I'm just glad we are safe in here, this looks like a bad storm, I can feel it, I don't know how to describe it but its going to be a big one."

Fajra nodded her head agreeing with him, she had every hope that some of their plants in their garden would survive if she remembered correctly they did plant some hardy seeds that could withstand natural disaster to an extent, but not all of their crops were hardy, so there was a chance the less harder plants would suffer the consequence of the raging storm outside. She let out a sigh of contentment as Kya held her from behind. "I believe you..." she said and turned herself so she was facing him and placed her hands on his chest lightly "so..what should we do with the free time we have now?" she asked him curiously.

Ky 3 In answer he turned her around, planted a sweet kiss on her lips. "I feel like baking something sweet and maybe talking by the fire, maybe a little slow dancing?" There was just something so beautiful and romantic about being stuck inside due to a storm. A big one at that. "What about you did you have any other ideas?" He was curious to see what her ideas would be, she was smart and beautiful she was full of love and creativity. He was happy that out of all the people out there, she had chosen him. And now he was not lonely. Alone time was getting more frequent again, he couldn't be more proud of how their kids had grown into fine young prentices. "Who knows how long this storm could go on for. It might continue for days...." He looked out at the whipping wind and rain. Oh well, best to make the best of it. At least he wouldn't have to water the garden now. That was the only small blessing garden wise, but he was starting to be pretty happy about his indoor situation.

She returned the kiss "Ooh, I like the sound of that and I do have something I need to ask you about" she told him with a smile before placing her hands lightly on his chest and subtly teasing him before pondering over what they could bake "What should we bake? Cookies? Muffins?" she asked him she loved all of those baked goods. She looked over her shoulder at the raging storm outside a little bit and agreed with him that they should make the best of it, at that moment she decided she would stop worrying about it and focus on the much-needed alone time with Kya, now that their kids had grown into young prentices. Ky 4 He looked at her. "Something to ask me about?" It made him a bit nervous that she just mentioned the question and didn't just ask about whatever it was outright..but it was Fajra and she didn't have a mean bone in her body so it was probably nothing he had done right? He swallowed but kept his outward calm... "I crave muffins I think, the sweet bits in them can be your choice though. He liked all muffins if not equally he at least liked them all. The storm raged outside. He knew that they needed the water but they didn't need it all at once Mr Storm thank you. He frowned at it. But came back to the moment as Fajra planned their baking spree. He was the instigator and the helper, she left the kitchen to him only on special nights..usually he made a deliscious fish recipe, the rest of the time he respected her territory. He would follow her orders for the baking, she would read the book or sometimes just remembered what the proportions were without it. She was amazing. He had been so lucky to bump into her and fall in love with the sweetest girl in tendaji.

"Don't worry its nothing to be nervous about, actually I think its a conversation you will like" she told him with a smile. She took his hand "Shall we make our way to the kitchen so we can bake up some muffins, and what kind of muffins would you like to make Banana? Chocolate chip? blueberry?" she asked him, she hoped they had all the ingredients to make said muffins. "umm..we might have to double check if we have all the ingredients before we do anything because I'am not 100% sure if we have what we need" she admitted to him. [Fajra 5]

"Banana blueberry muffins if we have everything, though with how our kids love fruit..well. At least we have the trees and bushes to provide them...if the storm ever lets up enough. I feel like we should let the radaku sleep in the mud room, I know there will be many but I worry about the den with the force of this storm...if a tree came down..." He shook his head not wanting to imagine. "So long as they remain well behaved..we can er close the door." He was looking forward to their baking adventures..even if it was rather plain muffins they might be making..or perhaps dough on a spoon if they were missing too many things. He wasn't too picky. She was the best baker though. He did okay with cookies but Fajra was talented. He grew the ingredients as a rule and only rarely did they have to buy out....unless for staples like flour..wheat was boring to grow for someone like him. Yay grass.

She nodded her head "Banana blueberry muffins it is" she said before she made her way to the kitchen to check if they had everything they needed to make these said muffins, she hummed as she moved about the kitchen taking out the ingredients and putting them on the counter and then assessing to make they had everything. "Hmm..it looks like we have everything needed for these muffins," she told him, they were lucky enough to have all the ingredients for it, if they didn't they would have had to go out in the storm to get it but that was a risk she was not willing to take. She looked at him and tilted her head to the side "Is our mudroom even big enough for our redaku to sleep in?" she questioned, that was a thought that never crossed her mind before. She went to the side to pull out the family recipe book for the muffins and set it on the counter before she flipped to the recipe they were going to use and read over the measurements for each of the ingredients. He walked over to the mudroom to take a look, eyeball measuring it.."Maybe if they all lie down?" He tilted his head before heading back into the kitchen to solicite a like of the dough spoon. That was the best part about baking after all. "Looks like there is no need to get soaked in search of blueberries. "You have the best recipe for this, and ..." He pulled out a lemon. "I have the last one, harvested right before the storm, it will make a nice zest for the tops." He smooched her sweetly and placed the lemon on the counter. "What was it you wanted to talk about hmm?" He leaned on the counter, muscley frame slightly taunt but only because he didn't know what she would ask. "You said there was a question?" He tilted his head.

Fajra looked at him "Are you sure? We have a lot of them" she told him, the parents plus their pups, it was a lot of redaku. But, if he was confident they could all fit in their mud room who was she to tell him no? She made a face as he walked over and took a lick of the dough-covered spoon, she shook her head slightly amused before giving the dough a few more stirs cleaning off the excess dough on the spoon and putting the spoon in the sink. She pulled out the muffin sheet and put in muffin liners in each of the spots. She beamed at him as he pulled out the last lemon from their harvest before the storm. She nodded her head "Now that Ez and Hrafn are young prentices how would you feel about giving them a sibling or siblings?" she asked him as she poured the same amount of dough into each of the muffin tin slots, while she waited for his answer. "Oh well," he smiled, relieved that that of all things was her question. "I think something like that could be arranged." He waggled his eyebrows at her. He was certainly supportive of the idea. He was ready to go through babies again. The kids were old enough to look after themselves to an extent now he and Fajra could focus on bringing the next kid into the world. "What a lovely idea my wife." Who knew today could get better then fresh baked Lemon Blueberry Banana muffins. But it had and he was grateful. He stood behind her and just held her close, probably interrupting the muffin baking but he was having a bit of a moment okay. It had felt like he had been a loner for a very long time and here his favorite being was, wanting to bring more of their children into the world. How had he gotten so very lucky. And for that he thanked the storm that he thought might just ruin his crops.. he thought about the impact that it had had on his life just now. Not that Fajra probably hadn't of been thinking of the right time to tell him anyway but still it was a good portent for all the garden misery he had to come. Hopefully some of it survived. But a large part of him was now to interested in the new topic to care really.
