Fang had begun to feel sicker and sicker the more that he looked into what had been happening on his planet while he was away. There was just too much going on. And all of it scared him. He wanted to get a handle on this, but the more he saw, the more he became convinced he needed to bring a large group of people to his planet—but he wasn't sure how to do that, if he could. He was an Eternal Senshi, now, but that didn't mean he had that kind of power. The kind that was reserved for Princesses like Ida, or Cybele. He growled in frustration, tail stiff as he prowled the streets on patrol this evening—at least until he found someone he hadn't seen for a great while. His entire demeanor changed, and he bounded up to Daphne, tail wagging. "Daphne!" he howled, skidding to a stop in front of her and waiting for permission to hug. "Daphne!! Miss you!!!"

Daphne was having a hard time finding a point in anything. The grief had gotten to her again, and the hopelessness, but she was going through the motions all the same. She was stronger now. She was learning to fight. That had to worth something, and it was one of the things she was clinging onto. So, she patrolled. Seeing a friend was enough to chase away most of the doubts for a moment, though. She smiled as soon as she saw him, and when he started coming towards her, she ran over to meet him halfway. "Fang!" she called out, and she saw the way that he was looking at her. Still smiling, she wrapped her arms around him, and her tail, too. "I missed you, too! How are you?"

Fang made an affectionate grumbling sound deep in his chest and hugged her back, shoving his face all over the top of her head affectionately. He pulled back a little to look at her, but not enough to fully break the hug or dislodge her tail form him. "Fang good. Mostly. Happy to see Daphne! Fang want to ask for many day if Daphne could help Fang?" he said, starting to get shy towards the end. "Sorry to see friend and ask help so fast... Trouble on Fang's home."

Daphne's tail flicked against his leg a few times, and she gave a contented little mumble into his chest that wasn't quite a word. She pulled away a little when he asked for help, though, enough that she could look him in the eye. "You wanted me to help you? You've been looking for me?" It made Daphne's heart swell, even though the thought of what might be going on in his world tied right back into the anxieties she'd been dealing with over the past few weeks. "Well, you found me. I'm here." She squeezed his hand. "You're my friend. I'll do whatever I can." She could push the thoughts aside it she could do something to make him feel better. "What's wrong with your world?" She had a guess. "Chaos?"

Fang smiled briefly after she agreed to help, and then nodded seriously when she guessed. "Chaos. Ex actly. make planet funny. Bad. Worse than before Fang left. Things creep in dark, grave dug up. New tracks." He bit his lip. "Scary. Don't want to be alone. Daphne smart, help Fang, not smart."

"You're smart," said Daphne, eyes narrowing a little, but not at him. Was someone here making him feel like he wasn't smart because he had a hard time with the language? She'd punch them. She'd been doing a lot of practice of punching lately, and anyone who was being rude to someone as kind as Fang was probably covering for their own weaknesses, so punching them wouldn't be hard. Not wanting to get distracted from the situation on his world, though, she shelved that thought. "It sounds like there's something there. I'll come, if you don't want to be alone." Of course she would. He was her friend. That only left one question. "When?"

Fang's tail wagged a little. He felt a little shy as she told him he was smart—many of his friends said so all the time, but he still felt... just a little off, because he couldn't articulate the way everyone else could. "Not alone," he confirmed. "Can come now? Okay if not!" He offered his hand to her, hoping she'd say yes.

"I have time," said Daphne. If she went home she was just going to go back to staring at the wall, wondering what the point was of trying. If she could keep moving, maybe she could avoid that. She held out her hand. "Let's see if we can find out what's happening."

Fang's tail wagged a little and he took her hand, squeezing it gratefully before he whisked them away from Earth—back to his home. He shivered as the darkness and the cold enveloped him once more. But he knew he was much safer than before, when he'd only had his own planet to "live" on. "Fang see tracks, before. Go that way," he said, nodding in the direction opposite the no-destroyed village he'd visited as a child. "...Want to see. What monster."

It was cold here, in a way that chilled Daphne to the bone the moment her feet touched the soil. She still had a hard time with the cooler temperatures on Earth, and this was worse. She shivered, skin immediately prickling as the fur on her tail puffed itself up. It was dark. Desolate. She could feel that something here was off. Cautious, she stayed close to Fang. "That way," she repeated, and glanced in the direction where he was looking, best that she could see against the darkness. Looked like it went deeper into the wilderness. "Let's go, then," she told him. "I'll look for tracks, too."

Fang saw her coldness and frowned—though he loathed it, given that without Chaos, his planet had been warm and sunny and a little drowsy in all the best ways, he removed the jacket of his uniform and put it around her shoulders. He could handle it. He'd handled it here for a thousand years, after all. "Thank, Daphne." He breathed out slowly, bracing himself against the oh-so-familiar cold and headed across the open grasslands. This way... in this direction... he couldn't quite recall what it was—a big city of some kind, he thought, and the small village back in the other direction had forbidden anyone from going to the big places (or any other places) once the news of what the Chaos was doing had reached them. He didn't remember enough to miss the way the wind would weave through the long-deadened grass that tickled at his knees, or the way the sun would be warm upon his back. Not quite. He knew that these things had happened, based on the way the villagers had talked, but his memories had decayed so fast he couldn't draw on it himself. But now... now he'd had Earth, and he knew what it felt like, and while he didn't miss it in the same way the villagers had, he missed it in the way that he'd never gotten to have it here, on his home. "Is Daphne less cold?" he asked after several minutes had passed. The ground had yielded no tracks, but that was expected, in the tall grasslands. He just... kept heading in what he hoped was the right direction. Until the grass finally began to thin and show ancient paths and roads traveled hundreds of thousands of times by Fangans long past. A shiver went up his spine, then—not one of cold, but of fear.
