The redheaded squire shouldered the backpack and absently rubbed his chest around his heart with the heel of his hand. His entire body ached but …. Not. A rather strange sensation that he couldn’t place. There wasn’t anything wrong with him as far as he could tell, the biggest hang up was that he couldn’t get to his wonder. That wasn’t at all a big deal for him since he didn’t visit that little storm wracked isle very often anyway. It had taken him years to go in the first place, but the fact that he couldn’t now just annoyed him. It was the general discomfort and wrong-ness that made Tortuga feel a bit off balance.
He did his best to keep his ‘head on a swivel’ as he traversed the city. Tortuga was on patrol but also trying to mentally diagnose what he was feeling. Come the morning he would definitely be sending out some feelers with his family to see if they too were experiencing anything abnormal, or if it's only affecting him.
He almost wished it was just him that was ‘sick’. Out of the whole family group he really was the only one now that didn’t have anyone relying on him or anything. Being ill and out of commission wouldn’t overly impact anyone.
Boy, wasn’t that a cheery thought, he mentally scolded himself even as he paused in his travels to check his surroundings, not quite trusting his aura senses at the moment.

"You look troubled."
The flat, emotionless voice came from the shadows, where the alien senshi had been standing. She was surprised the other had not spotted her, though that surprise did not live long enough to reach her face or impact her dead tone. Colorful eyes watched him as she stepped into view, looking him over slowly and unabashedly.
She was sizing him up, and did not seem to be aware that it might be offensive or rude to do so without even pretending she wasn't.
While she was training with, and thus friends with, a full Knight and a Royal Knight, she had never met a Squire before. She reckoned it was about the same power level as Sinistra, her Super Senshi caretaker and roommate. It felt comparable, at any rate, and she found that quietly impressive. It meant they had earned a higher rank.
She was not sure if she was capable of something like that.
"Are you okay?" she asked blandly, almost sounding like she did not care. She did, in her way, but it was impossible for her to convey that idea beyond utilizing the words and questions Sinistra taught her. Sinistra was the master of being kind and taking care of others: Wezen was doing her best to utilize the notes she took, but adapt them to her own brand of delivery.

Lithiasaur had met. Something was different even if he couldn’t put his finger on it. She wasn’t corrupt, that was very clear. Nor was she one of the dark mirror senshi.
With a slight frown as he mentally tried to figure the woman out, Tortuga just shrugged. “Eh, who is in this city?” He paused a moment before asking, “I don’t suppose you feel a bit ‘off’ do you?” Was it just him? Or was she also impacted by whatever it was that made him feel unsteady, at least magically?
And was he going to have to reach out to family to see if they too were affected? That was one little thing he would rather put off since they all had families to take care of, kids to tuck in, and spouses to kiss. If his issue passed to them… that really was quite unthinkable.

She did not flinch when the other jumped at her voice and turned around to face her. She was told, despite being so tall, that she could walk silently and it made suddenly hearing her speak terrifying. More than once, she had scared her roommate this way. But that was when Sinistra was powered down, and unable to sense her approach.
Shouldn't this knight have been able to tell she was coming?
"Off?" Wezen echoed, without looking curious despite actually being caught off guard by the question and considering it dutifully. "My feelings are always off. I am told I do not feel anything, and that is why I find it difficult to communicate with other senshi and knights. And humans, in general. Does this count as 'off'?"
Her tone was flat and her expression blank, save sparkling, colorful eyes that did not betray how curious she was about his question. She knew some knights, of course, but had not seen them lately and had no idea anything odd might be happening. Sinistra might have been more aware than she was, but she had chosen to patrol on her own that evening, while Sinistra busied herself with her own projects and studies. For someone that knew so much, more than enough to keep Wezen learning every day, she sure did spend a lot of time at the library.
And not just because those small animals that she liked to pet were always there, too. Though, even Wezen had to admit that the 'dog' was enjoyable to encounter. She still did not fully understand the entire concept of keeping a pet, but everyone involved usually seemed happy because of the arrangement. She wondered, vaguely, if she and Sinistra could enter an agreement with a dog or a cat to keep them company at their house.
But, like a small human child, she did not really understand just how much work and care went into keeping a pet.
"Are you feeling 'off'?"

Tortuga held his tongue as the senshi he had been surprised by admitted to being rather robotic, or more specifically ‘being told she didn’t feel anything.’ He wasn’t sure if he was facing one of those old senshi from ‘deep space’, apparently’ or if the female was just on the spectrum. Either way it didn’t really change anything for him. It just ment he might have to adjust his actions and statements in order to be as clear as possible. Such as explaining his current ‘off’ feeling. “I’m feeling like something isn’t quite right.” He elaborated, going on to clarify further. “For instance, I didn’t sense you at all during your approach. I might not be the best at sensing auras but I definitely am not easy to sneak up on however you did.” Tortuga once again looked the senshi over before asking, “Your magic doesn’t have anything to do with that, did it?” Senshi magic could actually explain that dampening effect, then again so could a cat. The red head’s purple gaze scanned the darkness but didn’t spot one of the various guardian cats that roamed the city. “There was also a slight delay while powering up. I didn’t really think anything about it but if my aura sense is also not working properly then it might also be an indicator of an issue.” He turned his gaze back to the senshi, “How about you? Has anything felt different for you tonight? Magic wise that is?” Could he be the only one impacted? If he was then that was fine, not great but only one person infected could be handled but if this was an epidemic? That did not bear thinking about. It could be catastrophic.
