"Hey, Hey! Hi there!!" Called the small bobtail cat as she pranced out along the city, following the energy signature of an officer that she could feel ahead of her. "HELLO! My name is Abby, I'm bored, what are you dooooing? Can I join you? I'm joining you. My name is Abby, did I mention that? I've been lost, but I'm found now!" She trotted happily towards him, glib of tongue and loose of lip with the tiny bob of a tail ticking back and forth like a metronome. "Are you hunting? I like hunting."

Crocoite heard a small voice and stopped, frown deepening. He was not the biggest fan of anything that would produce such a small voice, and he knew that without having to look to see who, or what, it was. He debated just continuing walking, but something told him he would not get away so easily.
Maybe all the chatter that followed the greeting was the first hint.
"I am hunting," he said, turning. He had his eyes down, expecting someone small, but not down enough. He looked further, focusing on the small cat that was approaching him. If his frown could have gotten even deeper at that point, it would have, but his face would have had to learn a new trick. While he knew of corrupt cats and their various uses, he had not yet encountered one. Largely by design.
He stiffened, visibly uncomfortable. How did one talk to a cat, anyway? instinct was to kick, and while those kinds of instincts were good when he encountered White Moon enemies, he doubted they would get him far in this situation.
"Did you... need something?"

"No! Just visiting!" She chirped, undeterred entirely, it seemed, despite his attitude and the stiffening of his posture. "I'll hunt with you! What are we hunting? I'm a very good hunter, you'll see!" She lowered her small nose towards the ground and made very apparent sniffing motions before looking up and adding. "Sorry, what were we after again? I need a scent of a feeling, I'm afraid, but other than that I'm very good... do you like pizza? I love pizza." She beamed up at him, utterly unabashed.

"I am not hunting small birds or rodents, if that's what you're hoping for," Crocoite grumped, though he found himself talking just a little bit softer for her sake. Cats, not even the Guardian kind, had a strange sort of magic about them. They softened people, no matter who they were. Crocoite was largely resistant to it, but some thing must have been seeping through.
He watched her sniffing at the ground, heaving a sigh. The very fact that he was entertaining this at all was a testament to a cat's true power. The crocodile waited, tilting his head at the questions.
This one might have already been kicked, from the sounds of it.
"I hate pizza," he said, for the sake of being contrary. He had no feelings about pizza, one way or the other. It was good in a pinch, though he preferred almost anything else.
"And we're hunting Knights. The White Moon, in general, I suppose, but a knight would be best. What else would I be hunting?" He imagined she would say pizza, and tried to anticipate his own annoyance in advance.

"Knights! I can hunt for knights with you! I just won a battle the other day against a Senshi! I can be a tremendous help! And oh... I'm sorry you don't like pizza, but I suppose that leaves more for me." She reached out and swatted a paw against his boot, and then the other... and then was full-on gripped to his boot with her head thrown back, mouth wide as she rabbit kicked his boot with mad vigor. "AAAHHHH-HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!! MUAHAHAHAHA-HAAAAA!!" And then she bit at his pantleg. There was, perhaps some damage to his boots, but nothing save pride would have been damaged in particular by this assault. "Oh...Right, where were we..."

Crocoite huffed, not sure he believed the very concept of a cat defeating a senshi. It had to have been a pathetic one, or this cat was one of those that could transform into a more useful shape. Not that it had shown any sign of wanting to do that.
He was going to stick with 'she was lying to him' as his explanation.
When she latched on to his leg, he let out a surprised sound. He had been playing nice with her! And yet here she was, assaulting his uniform. While he knew when he powered down and back up for his next patrol everything would be in order, it was mortifying to see the damage she was doing to the leather of his boots.
"What are you...?!" He blinked when she calmed suddenly. Was this what cat owners on the internet called 'zoomies'? Even alien creatures were apparently susceptible to it, which was more than a little irritating. He gave his leg a firm shake in an effort to dislodge her, frown ever deepening. "YOU were about to get kicked into the next block."

"Waaa-ahh-ahahHhHhh!" She gripped on as he tried to dislodge her. "That was fun! Do that again! Why are we kicking me? Don't be too hasty. I'm not one of the white moons! And I'm not a KNIGHT either! You still need to tell me about them!" She hopped off his boot and licked at her shoulder indignantly. "Sounds like you need a SNICKERS!" She said decisively after a moment of bathing. She sat back and posed dramatically like she was about to summon a henshin pen and then sat back down normally after a long pause. "I don't have a Snickers, but I bet you could use one. You're not yourself when you're hungry!" she informed him and nodded, as if it were the most sage advice she could have offered.

"I don't have to tell you anything! Look what you've done to my boot!"
Crocoite rolled his eyes and turned away from her, grumping his way down the street. He was intent on leaving her behind, hoping his quick, stomping pace would be enough to deter her from following him. Something told him he would get no hunting done if she was around.
Though if she launched herself at a knight and get herself hurt for it, he supposed that would be fair enough. And mildly enjoyable. The cost of having to keep her around for the off chance of that happening, though, was too high and he did not feel like the payoff was worth being forced to keep her around him and further risk his uniform.
"You don't know me, or the difference between when I am hungry or not," he reminded her, in case she was still listening or following. "And I don't intend to let you find out. Go find some other hapless soldier to annoy. Ekanite would probably adore you."

"...I LOVE YOU I'LL SEE YOU LATER!!" She called after him, blinking away whatever confusion crossed her mind in regards to the boot. It was fine in her eyes, better even, though she did half wonder what happened to it. Strange one this Captain. Oh well...he was driven and that was clearly all that mattered.
