Maizah had no idea how much she would need to hunt once she had come of age, but the action and activity never grew old. She enjoyed the brotherhood that had been established with her fellow hunters, and the thrill of stalking their prey over days (or weeks). She had grown in her skill both with the bow and in reading the nature around her, and as a result was often invited on the longer hunts.
She knew it would pull her away from her brother, but she trusted that this was for the best. Yonas needed to grow into himself just as much as she had grown into her own.
Now, as she wrapped up a quick hunt and cleaned up after a few days worth of travel, Maizah found herself in an old haunt from when she was a prentice. It was on the edge of their forest lands, close enough for her to get home quickly but far enough to feel peaceful. The woods were thin here, leaving her with a nice view of the neighboring Yware lands. Maybe someday she'd journey out there, but for now she was content to observe the calm of the woods.
