Kevin I think is the leader of the group(Not in singing)He makes sure that everyone is where they are suspose to be and are on time.And they are doing what they are suspose to be doing.He dose have a good voice but His blends in with the others so you cant hear him really unless if he has a solo rolleyes

Kevin is not grumpy. he's mature. he was, after all, 20 when they formed the band and he took on more of a fatherly role because of that, i mean, Nick was only twelve. ((he was sooo adorable then if youve seen their promo concert form 1993 on www.not-like-you.com)) Kevin just tries to keep everything in order for the group, and like previously said he's been there to help A.J. (sheesh i almost wrote Alex.. havent done that in a while) but any ways.. He just wants the best for his brothers from other mothers, thats all, not grumpy, i mean, he and A.J. on the nevergone footage talking about how kev has more "guns" than A.J., being all goofy on it, then, my favorite part in the behind the scenes, A.J. goes "but i have more facial hair" any ways, Kevin, though 34, is my favorite

yeah hes not grumpy at all he is the most mature person ever! heart he is amazing! and Ranma58 is right all the things she said!my favorite video now that i think of it is actually live loverboy live fi you go to www.not-like-you.com you will find it. it isone of the promo videos! nick is so addorable its cute he is all little! brian looks so cute!aj looks so sexy!

Earlier this year, after much soul searching, Kevin Richardson came to us and told us that he had decided to leave the group and pursue other interests. He gave his blessing to continue the music without him.
We have no intention of replacing Kevin, and the door will always be open for him to return to the Backstreet Boys. We wish him the all the best in his future endeavors.
This weekend we are returning to the studio to begin the follow-up to Never Gone, and will see you later this year with a new album.

Statement from Kevin Richardson
After 13 years of what can only be described as a dream come true, I have decided that it is time to leave the Backstreet Boys. It was a very tough decision for me but one that was necessary in order to move on with the next chapter of my life. Howard, Brian, Alex and Nick will always be my little brothers and have my utmost love and support. I would like to thank the Backstreet fans for all the beautiful memories we have shared together and look forward to including you in the next phase of my life. I wish my brothers continued success and look forward to their new album.
