Aldara sat in the window as she watched the water streak its way down the glass of the windows of her home. It was the rainy season and while she liked being inside, there were limits. Stretching and looking back into the room, she noted her mother still working at her craft. Her father was no where to be seen, called off to help with something in another part of the village. Laying curled up on the floor, its feet tucked up beneath its fluffy coat of down, Soran the Scorra seemed to be dreaming. The warmth within the house was starting to get stifling and Aldara needed to get out. Getting up from her seat at the window and straightening out the skirts of her dress she looked towards her mom.
"I'm heading outside." She called before heading to the door, reaching for a coat to shed the rain and her sun hat. Her mom reminded her to stay safe and not wander too far. Aldara rolled her eyes before opening the door, at this point the Scorra had leaped to its own feet and raced to catch up to her before she closed the door.
"Didn't think I could sneak out without you hearing." she muttered the Scorra turning away from the door and headed out into the rain. It was an easy rain, not one to drive you to the ground. But who was to say that it was going to stay as thus? Holding onto her hat, she looked towards the skies before taking a deep breath in. The air was fresh and the plant life around her smelt anew. It was one of the joys of the rainy season and she loved it.
