Lete probably should’ve done a better job of keeping up on Court gossip ever since Muri had so spectacularly ruined Telesto’s party. She hadn’t heard anything noteworthy in a while, and that concerned her. Of course, it would only make sense that an ingrate like Muri would find a way to take something as awesome as a party and make it terrible, and over what?! The two guys he’d freaked into leaving hadn’t even done anything! Nor said anything! Not until Muri had decided to be a dramatic a*****e and make everything all about himself, like always! Because he was The Worst! Only possibly beat out a little bit by that alien senshi who’d picked on Lete so much around Thanksgiving!!!

Honestly, if Remarque had had the good sense to fire Muri instead of Muri making up his own mind to quit, Lete wouldn’t have minded Muri’s impending absence from the Court. Getting kicked out of the obvious best faction would’ve been adequate consequences for Muri’s stupid, selfish, pointlessly dramatic actions. But Muri quitting—Muri choosing of his own volition to up and abandon them like that—that was a different ballgame entirely, and Lete hated it.

She’d trekked out to Southside Park for her energy hunt tonight. Maybe it was a bit of a hike, but Lete had wanted to get out of her head for a while, A., and B., repeating the same hunting ground too often would only get her caught by some White Moon interloper that much more quickly. You had to spice things up a bit in order to be a truly effective Dark Mirror senshi. Vary your hunting grounds, keep those White Moon ding-dongs and their pet Knights guessing so they wouldn’t associate you with any parks or hang-outs in particular. That way, they couldn’t just decide to make your life hard before you’d even done anything.

Lete’s tactics, however, never changed. Why mess with perfection, after all? Once she’d picked out a place to set herself up—on the playground’s little roundabout, sat between two of the metal fixtures that kids used to spin the thing—Lete got out her Mirrorshards and started sending wraiths after people, two at a time. As usual, she didn’t bother keeping track of how many wraiths she called on. She hadn’t connected her Switch to the Internet since Saturday, which meant she could still reap the benefits of the Tera Raid Event that had technically ended the night before. Paying attention to how many wraiths got sent out for people who didn’t have an Armarouge raid to beat.

He came screaming around a bush, chased by a wraith.

All he'd wanted to do was quietly do his patrol thing and maybe save a person from a youma or something small and, you know, within his capacities! What he hadn't expected was the deluge of wraiths that were terrorizing the park. And him.

Crisium flailed a branch at the wraith chasing him, smacking it hard on the... head? The top of it. Whatever it actually was. It exploded under the vegetation abuse and Crisium bent forward, panting.

It was then he noticed the chick sitting on one of the playground's pieces of equipment, playing on a Switch. Without a care in the world. He focused on her and felt the Chaos aura rolling off of her. Much like it had the wraiths.

"Did... did you... summon... those things?" he said between gasps of air. He really didn't want to have to fight an actual person - there was a reason he was holding onto a branch. He couldn't really hold his own against a wraith or youma much less an actual senshi or Chaos agent.

This would go swimmingly.

Even though Lete felt the White Moon aura running around nearby, she didn’t think much of it. As long as they minded their own business and left her alone, whatever bug they had up their a** tonight distinctly did not sound like Lete’s Problem to need to care about. Not when she had, A., her Switch to occupy her attention, and B., only one of her most recently sent-out wraiths coming back to her. Granted, they didn’t always come back together, but still, there was rarely ever a delay like this between the first returning and the second.

The screaming made her wince. Immediately drew her attention. Right on time for Lete to watch the strangely dressed little knight whacking at the second wraith with a branch.

“Hey! What gives!” Lete huffed like the most offended little cupcake. “Mirrorwraiths don’t bite!”

She didn’t rise from her perch on the roundabout, not yet. While the baby-knight before her now didn’t look like much, sometimes these White Moon idiots would attack a well-meaning Dark Mirror senshi with zero provocation and for no reason whatsoever, if you just looked at them wrong! ******** bullies, and that was why somebody as sweet and pure as Demeter didn’t belong with them, but that was beside the point right now. Lete got to breathe a sigh of relief when the wraith the baby-knight was attacking reconstituted itself, the ghostly wisps of its body rushing back together. As if pspsps-calling for a cat, Lete held out the mirrorshard and called for the wraith to rush over and go back home.

If it didn’t have enough energy to be corporeal and get shattered, then that was okay. As long as the precious baby got somewhere safe.

"Well excuse me! It certainly looked like it bites, given it was trying to bite me!" he retorted, flailing his branch at the wraith as she called it back to it's little mirror shard and vanished. Crisium adjusted his glasses with a frustrated shove and stared at the... senshi?

She looked like a senshi. She had all the trappings of a senshi.

No senshi he knew of summoned wraith creature things.

"What kind of senshi even are you?" he asked, still holding the branch out like a sword or some sort of baton. She felt like Chaos, but like...

That could mean very little in the grand scheme of things. Plus, her hair wasn't super long and she didn't have any holes in her chest or forehead, so who knew where her allegiances lied. He wanted to have the branch ready just in case.
