Teiluj groaned as she shifted about the home. When her husband, Lynxdaroch had meant children. He meant children. Though her belly wasn't yet swollen as she knew it would be as she progressed in her pregnancy. The monk knew the tell tale signs from her first two children.

The way her head would spin, her inability to keep anything down. Even trying to soothe her stomach with a famous root meant to ease her nausea wasn't helping this time around. At first it had started with a reduction to her appetite. Then any smell, no matter what it was, was pungent enough to send whatever contents sat in her stomach. Out onto the stones outside their home. It didn't help some of the beasts they were looking after, found the contents enjoyable. Which only fueled Teiluj's sickness.

Not long after that, the hybrid woman had found strange combinations for food. This hadn't happened with her first pregnancy, but Teiluj knew full well. She was with child. As the womanly part of her had disappeared.

Yesterday she had been in the kitchen putting together a sliced fruit dipped in a meat flavored liquid. Finding the combination enjoyable. When she had offered the same meal to her daughter, Zybilna had given her mother a horrified look and snubbed the offering. Mentioning something along the lines of her mother selfishly taking away her title of being the youngest in the family.

Today she was staring down a very large piece of of pie made from various berries found in Matori and Yael that had been found in the market this morning. Her mouth watered as she looked at the slice that she had given herself. Inside the pie were beads of meat. In front of her was a cup of hot liquid that had been steeped from the bark of a tree from Juahar.

Now that the cup was cooled, Teiluj reached forward and drizzled the tea like substance all over the pie. Watching as the crust absorbed the odd flavoring. Lifting a fork to her mouth Teiluj paused, watching someone enter the kitchen.

He had begin to suspect that Teiluj was with child when she started to expell everything from her stomach, mainly due to the fact that she didn't otherwise appear sick. However, as he walked into the kitchen and smelled the odd concoction that was in front of her he paused and raised a brow.

She hadn't had such cravings or anything odd diet the last time but he had been around his aunt when she was pregnant so he knew that was another sign. He couldn't help but give a bit of a smirk before he moved over to his wife. Lynx brought a hand up to her shoulder and gently rubbed toward her shoulder blade. "I think it's time you seen a healer, Love. I'm fairly certain you're carrying another child." He grinned at the thought.

Pale green eyes watched her mate cross the room towards her. Quickly scooping up a portion of the food into her mouth. Chewing quickly, he was not going to take this delicious meal from her. Her body easing at the contact of his hand on her, letting out a sigh. The gulping of food was proceeded by the sound of the fork hitting the table. Her finger rising up to point first to the ceiling, then to herself. "I am a healer." She mumbled, quickly scooping another mouthful of the pie into her mouth.

She felt guilty, she hadn't told Lynx her suspicion of being with child again. Wanting to wait for the perfect moment, but that moment never seem to come and now, well now he was here already having the suspicion himself. She nodded, "and yes you're right I am. I just haven't found the right time to tell you yet." She remorsefully shoved another bite of the pie into her mouth. "They are both very healthy." She managed around the food waiting to see his reaction to knowing another set of twins were well on their way.

Amusement lit his eyes as he saw her hurry to shove food into her mouth like he was going to steal it. With a soft laugh he let his tone dip to soothing. "Easy, I won't take it from you." There were times when she reminded him of a beast. A rather attractive one at that. Her comment about being a healer caused him to nod. "I know.. I just figured it would take the stress off you to have another do it."

Lynx was pleased that she was able to do it on her own but there were times when he figured letting someone else be responsible might be for the best for stress levels. As his wife let slip they both we're doing good he raised a brow. "Twins again? I guess that would be my fault." It seemed his genetics were at work for that one since he was an identical twin and she was a Singleton. "I'm glad they are healthy." Lynx leaned down to press a kiss to her forehead.

Teiluj slowed down her chewing to consider Lynx's opinion. His she smiled lovingly up at him. His heart was in the best of places, and that was one of the biggest things she loved about him. Taking a deep breath through a few more mouthfuls Teiluj thought the idea over, about finding a healer besides herself to check over the growing babies. Swallowing she smacked her lips her attention turned to the food on her plate.

The problem was that despite all the monk had been through, she still didn't really trust other people to be that close with her. Her husband and children were one thing, but it was an entirely different ordeal to try to trust another healer with herself. She didn't trust others that close to her proximity, and besides stress or not. She would just rather do it herself. That way if any problems arose, she wouldn't be stressing out anyone else along the way. Lynx already had so much on his plate she didn't want to risk adding to it with news from another healer. In the end she was likely to be stressing either way. It was just a matter of the lesser of the two.

"Nope." Teiluj finally blurted out shoving another portion into her mouth. "I love you Lynx. I just don't trust another healer to do the job right." Licking her lips to make sure none of the meat juices had been left behind she chewed quickly again.

"This isn't doing it, I think what I'm really wanting is that hot sweet cocoa with cheese melted in it. Oh, yes twins! And you're quite right it is all your fault. Though I suppose I did have some part to play in ending up this way." Teiluj muttered teasingly with a smirk on her face. Her mind had been whirling with strange cravings that just didn't seem to have a way of satisfying lately. Looking back towards her spouse. Teiluj lifted the plate and sheepishly offered it's contents to Lynx. "Want some?"

He saw that her mind was going. And if he knew anything about his wife she was worrying about being a burden on another healer. When she finally came out and refused the idea he gave a soft sigh. "Alright. I won't make you." It was times like these that he wished he had a healer in the family. Or at least a close friend he could trust that was one.

The mention of what she wanted instead cause him to give her a very worried look. "I don't think those two flavors mix well." As Tei offered him some of what was on her plate he shook his head. "No thank you, it's all yours. Let me make that hot cocoa." He placed another kiss to her forehead before moving over to find a kettle to heat the water in.

As he tinkered around the kitchen to get the job done he glanced over his shoulder at her and smiled. "Maybe next time I'll aim for triplets?"

Lynx's offer of the hot cocoa brought a large grin to her face with a fervent thank you. Her eyes gathered in the full length of her husband. Her shoulders sunk with the consuming feelings of just how much she loved him. He was always thoughtful towards her needs. Attentive to what she needed, sometimes before she knew it. She in turn tried her best to make sure that he was appreciated in every way possible for the work he put into caring for his family. While she loved her children to death, it was her mate she loved the most. She wasn't going to deny it.

Shoving another mouthful of the pie into her mouth. She hummed, then sputtered the food out over her plate at the mention of triplets. "Somehow I think that may be just a bit out of our abilities. As stunning as you are, the odds of that many at one time just might not be possible." Teiluj ran her thumb along the edge of her lower lip. Wiping away the residue of her surprise to the mention of triplets. Her face deepening into it's often seen red. A phenomenon that only Lynx seemed to bring out of her.

As he got her drink ready he also went to cut up a few small blocks of cheese. Though he paused for a second to look over his shoulder at her with a raised brow. "Is that a challenge?" A smirk turned his mouth before he winked at her and went back to cutting. "How much cheese did you want in your cocoa?" Since he had never had it, nor did he ever have a craving for it, he wasn't sure what would be a good amount.

Seeing as she was doing the hard part of carrying the children as they grew it was his job to ensure that she was comfortable and taken care of.

He turned his head to look at her again, this time with a question in his eyes. "My taste isn't the same as yours so I'm not sure how much to add."

Teiluj scratched the back of her head nervously at Lynx's teasing. Tears unexpectedly falling down her cheeks. His thoughtfulness in all the ways he cared about her was enough to warm her heart and she was grateful for it. "Just about five or maybe six." Teiluj sniffled. Moving quickly to wipe the tears from her face. "Thank you Lynx"

Waiting for him to bring her the mug so she could stir the cheese into the chocolate, Teiluj abandoned the pie on her plate. It was likely her family was not going to be eating the pie she had made, feeling a little guilty, Teiluj was reminded of the animals outback by a loud warning sound coming from one of the larger beasts outside. Which was quickly echoed by a radaku.

Swallowing back her tears, her head jerked towards the sound. She wasn't expecting any visitors. And she was certain that both twins were in their rooms for the night. Her eyes glanced nervously back to Lynx. As much as she craved trying the hot cocoa he was making, something about checking on the twins and seeing where the disturbance came from. Seemed a more pressing concern to her.

He nodded his head though he did pause at seeing her tears. Lynx eyed her for a moment to make sure it wasn't the kind of tears that needed him immediately. When he noted no sobbing directly following he went back to his task. It was quick work after that to add the cheese and grab a spoon.

As he turned he too heard the sound of the beasts. Lynxdaroch spared a glance that direction before he continued across to give his wife her desired beverage. "Sit tight, I'll check it out. Here's your cocoa with cheese." He made sure to set it down and guide one of her hands to the warm mug as a distraction.

Once that was done he moved toward a window that was closest to the noise so that he could look out.

Teilujs fingers twitched against the mug. Raising one hand to slowly stir the cheese into the hot cocoa, her mind and emotions wavering uncontrollably from one emotion to the next.

"I-I ... I don't think you need to go? Do you? I mean we have so many powerful beasts out there. Nothing would be foolish enough to test those boundaries right. A-and those kids, they know not to be sneaking out. It's just the wind right? Yeah, just the wind." Teiluj reassured herself, lifting the chocolate cheese drink to her lips and making a small slurping sound as she tested to see if the drink had cooled enough to be consumable.

When he heard the stutter from his wife he glanced back at her and offered her a smile. "Don't worry, no one would be foolish enough to mess with the beasts." With the ones they had it was fairly unlikely. "I do need to make sure they settle down though. I'd be a bad tamer if I didn't."

He moved back over to Teiluj and leaned down to place a kiss to the top of her head. "Do you mind if I poke my head out?" He could tell it bothered her to think there was a danger lurking so he was doing what he could to make her feel more comfortable.

"Well, uh, no I suppose not." Teiluj mumbled around the lip of her mug. Slurping at the thick chocolate fluid within. Her eyes shifted to the rooms of her twin children. They were much too much like their father, especially their daughter. Zybilna had a way of finding any way of escaping and often without detection. That was what unsettled Teiluj, but she was getting older and starting to find the need to branch out and discover the world. She would be on her own soon enough and Teiluj knew she needed to be okay with her children finding their own footing in the world around them.

Placing a hand on her stomach Teiluj hummed a little. She felt she was doing the best she could by her family. Better than how she had been brought up to say the least. Unlike herself, her children didn't have to worry about being different or mixed. They didn't have to struggle hiding who they were from other's. No war to take any family away from them, and extremists were now so far and few between that the children were able to grow up in a very stable home.

Picking up a spoon to stir in the cheese a little more, she scooped up a clump. A long string of the substance dangled and thinned between the spoon and the mug. Pushing the spoon into her mouth Teiluj chewed while she continued to hum. "Let me know what you find?"

Lynx gave a nod before he moved over to the door and opened it. He didn't want to make her worry so he quickly went out onto the porch so that he could go and take a look at the animals. He offered soothing words to them from afar, as none were completely losing it, then headed back inside. As he closed the door he looked over at Tei. "All done."

Since he'd found no immediate threat he wasn't concerned. For all he knew it could have been a small rodent that had caused the ruckus.

He went back to his wife and gently put his hands on her shoulders so that he could rub them. "Is that hitting the spot?" He gave a nod toward the chocolate drink.

pale green eyes followed Lynx to the door. The warm drink slowly being consumed by the hybrid. Her eyes still fixed on the door until his return. She was uncomfortable with how often her moods shifted back and forth. But when Lynx returned with no news of concern her eyes flashed back towards the children's location.

She didn't bring the topic up knowing full well that Lynx would have detected the two if they had gotten out. That or Tao would have made an appearance. Watching him return she smiled up at him. Nodding her answer to his question. Pausing to look Lynx up and down. "Is everything alright? I have gotten news of Sarni's wonderful new blessings. Do you think maybe we should take a trip up to see them once these two are old enough? Having cousins their own age could be beneficial to them." Teiluj asked. Reaching her hand out across the table towards her husband.
