Cassia stood behind her stall, the aroma of freshly brewed tea wafting through the air as she busily arranged her array of teas on display. She’d just gotten new stock from from of the local Tale farmers and she was excited to sell her new combinations to the people of Tale. Her eyes scanned the bustling marketplace, searching for potential customers among the throngs of people milling about. Spotting a new customer passing by her stall, a young Hybrid boy, Cassia's interest was piqued.
"Good day to you," Cassia called out, her voice warm and inviting. "Would you care to sample some of my finest teas? I assure you, they're a delightful treat for the senses." She always kept fresh tea on hand to give out to customers so they could try them out before buying anything.

Ashkii grew up in Yware, home of the largest forests of Tale. The young leaf boy was taught to be extremely self sufficient and rarely interacted with his own tribe, let alone outsiders. Now that Ashkii was a prentice, he was expected to narrow down what it was he wanted to do for the rest of his life. In an attempt to learn and grow, he was pushing outside his comfort zone. The leaf kid was rather simple in nature and so the wafting aroma of freshly brewed tea immediately peaked his curiosity. After closing his eyes to concentrate and sniffing at the air a few times, he found the direction of the vendor and approached with a tentative smile. It was evident by Ashkii's uncomfortable body language that he didn't get out much. Not wanting to disrupt Cassia's interaction with her customer's, Ashkii waited until she was free before asking quietly, "What plants go into each blend? Do they serve a medicinal purpose?"[ Ashkii 1 ]

Cassia observed the leaf boy's tentative approach with a warm smile, noting the discomfort in his body language. Once free from her previous customer, Cassia turned her full attention to Ashkii. As Ashkii asked about the ingredients in her blends and their potential medicinal benefits, Cassia's smile widened.
"Greetings," she began, her tone gentle and inviting. "Each of our blends is crafted with a unique combination of herbs, spices, and tea leaves, carefully selected for their flavour profiles and health benefits," Cassia explained, her voice tinged with enthusiasm. "Some blends may indeed have medicinal properties, known for their soothing effects or rejuvenating qualities. It all depends on the specific ingredients and how they're combined."
She gestured to the array of teas on display, inviting Ashkii to explore further. "Feel free to browse our selection and ask any questions. I'm here to assist you in discovering the perfect blend to suit your tastes and needs." She didn’t have a lot of medicinal teas on hand if that’s what he was looking for, but she could point him in the right direction.
“Were you looking for something in particular? I specialize in gifts if that’s something you might be interested in.”

Ashkii couldn't help but notice Cassia's genuine enthusiasm when discussing her tea blends. It seemed to the young Leaf kid that she felt a great amount of pride for her craft and work. What Cassia described reminded him a lot of what the priests would do in his home settlement creating various potions and poultices they would use to aid in healing. He nodded his head in understanding while she spoke, taking in her information with curiosity. He couldn't turn down the offer for him to check out the variety of teas on display. Ashkii did not have much in the way of currency, but could still tell his family about the experience. "Which are your local, or native blends?" He thought something familiar might seem the most appealing. "Do you collect the herbs and spices, yourself?" He asked Cassia. "I'm admittedly something of a forager, myself. Do you ever trade tea for supplies?" A slight flush of pink hit Ashkii's green complexion when he asked, as though expecting to be politely turned down. [ Ashkii 2 ]

Cassia smiled warmly at Ashkii's genuine interest, pleased to have found someone who appreciated her craft. Customers were nice to have but Cassia was much more excited about talking about teas with others.
"Our native blends are those that incorporate herbs and spices commonly found in the surrounding forests and meadows," Cassia explained, gesturing towards a few blends displayed on the nearby shelves. "They're crafted to capture the essence of our local landscape and offer unique flavours that reflect our culture"
As Ashkii inquired about her process, Cassia's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. "Yes, I gather many of the herbs and spices myself," she confirmed. "There's something special about foraging for ingredients in the wild – it adds an extra layer of connection to the teas I create." It was also one of her favourite pastimes. She liked to travel to be able to find special plants to bring back.
At the mention of trading tea for supplies, Cassia's smile widened. "I've dabbled in trading before," she admitted, her tone warm and welcoming. "It's always interesting to exchange goods and learn from others. If you have something you'd like to trade, I'm open to it." She paused, sensing Ashkii's hesitation, and added reassuringly, "No need to worry about being turned down. I appreciate the opportunity to connect with fellow foragers. What kind of items do you forage for?"

Ashkii couldn't hold back a warm smile as Cassia answered his questions and spoke about her passion with such love. "I admire your work. It sounds real special to you," He answered, not quite having the perfect words to show his appreciation for her craft. Feeling a little sheepish, he took a look at the local teas that she pointed out. "Which one's your favorite?" He asked when he finally looked back up at Cassia again. The ways her eyes seemed to sparkle inspired a light flush of color to his cheeks. The respect she showed to the flora she utilized was something similar to how the Archers of his tribe treated the hunts with fauna. He meant what he said about her craft feeling special. "That's... actually real familiar to me. Many of my family are Rangers and Priests who frequently hunt and forage. The connection to the land that you describe is one that each of us feels deeply."While he offered to trade his foraged goods, he actually had a lot of respect for Cassia finding her own ingredients. He was surprised when she accepted and hesitated only a moment in surprise before reaching for a small pouch he carried with him. The plants, bark and roots inside were all freshly harvested. "Honest, a bit of everything. My Mother is a Priestess and uses a bunch of stuff to make her medical elixers and poultices. Which means I know already a few of these are real bitter, even if they work for what they do." He chuckled some, feeling more at ease around the almost-stranger. He pulled out a few flowers, a handful of colorful leaves, a few small pitcher plants surprisingly still full of liquid and some bark and roots. The water filled sacs were a familiar food source to the Leaf tribe. Wrapped more carefully in the pouch were a few bruised fruits. "Any interest in these?"[ Ashkii 3 ]

“Thank you,” she said as a light blush flourished on her cheeks. People sometimes found she talked too much about teas or found this kind of thing boring, especially when she went on a tangent. She appreciated that he seemed to really mean his words.
Cassia watched with growing intrigue as Ashkii unveiled the treasures from his pouch, her eyes reflecting a mix of fascination and professional curiosity. "You've got quite the collection here," she remarked, her voice imbued with genuine respect. "I can see the care and knowledge that went into gathering these. It's not every day I come across someone who understands the value of the natural world as deeply as you do." Each item would do well in a tea, Cassia rubbed her hands together, eager to get her hands on the items.
Her fingers then went to hover over the pitcher plants, a slight smile tugging at her lips. "These are particularly interesting. Not common in my usual foraging paths, but I've read about their properties." She glanced up at him. "I can already think of a few blends that could be enhanced by the unique flavours they offer." She’d made a blend once before with them, but since she rarely got her hands on some she hadn’t been able to make more in some time now.
Turning her attention to the colourful leaves and the flowers, Cassia's mind raced with possibilities. "And these could add a delightful aroma and a burst of colour to several teas. You've brought me not just ingredients, but inspiration." Her gaze finally settled on the fruits, bruised but still vibrant. "Even these hold potential. The essence of these fruits could complement some of my more robust blends, adding a subtle sweetness that balances the bitterness of some herbs."
She carefully picked up one of the roots, examining it closely. "Your mother must be quite skilled if she uses these in her poultices. I can see how they'd be effective, though challenging to make palatable." A chuckle escaped her, mirroring Ashkii's earlier amusement. "It's a good challenge, though. One I'm eager to take on."
Cassia's eyes met Ashkii's. "You've brought me more than just potential trades. You've brought a piece of your world into mine. I would be honoured to create something special with these."
She pondered for a moment before continuing, "As for my favourite tea," she gestured towards a blend rich with vibrant hues and a soothing aroma, "this one here. It's a blend of chamomile, lavender, and a hint of mint. Simple, yet comforting. It reminds me of evenings spent under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of nature. A piece of tranquillity in a cup."
"Let's make a trade then. Your finds for some of my tea, including my favourite blend. And perhaps," she added, a spark of adventurous spirit in her voice, "this could be the beginning of a fruitful collaboration. Your knowledge of foraging could introduce new dimensions to my teas, when I’m in town I could buy a few from you if you’re up for it."
“I’m Cassia by the way,” she extended her hand out towards him.
