As Ziel stepped onto the bustling streets of the city, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her. The journey had been long and arduous, and the city offered a welcome respite from the endless road she’d been doing lately. She inhaled deeply, taking in the scent of spices and freshly baked goods that wafted through the air, a stark contrast to the crisp mountain air she had grown accustomed to during her travels. With a tired yet content sigh, she adjusted the strap of her satchel and made her way towards the market square.
The market was alive with activity this early in the morning, with merchants hawking their wares and shoppers bustling about in search of the finest goods. Ziel weaved her way through the throngs of people, her eyes scanning the stalls for supplies she would need for the next leg of her journey. Her gaze lingered on a display of colourful fabrics, and she made a mental note to purchase some to patch up her worn cloak. As she browsed, she couldn't shake the feeling of weariness that clung to her bones, a reminder of the countless miles she had travelled. It had taken her a little while to get back to the Mainland from Belrea.
Lost in thought, Ziel's attention was suddenly drawn to a familiar figure across the market. Her heart skipped a beat as she recognized the tall, lean form of Liio, a fellow traveller she had crossed paths with on a similar outing to the market as this one. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she made her way towards him, her steps quickening with each passing moment.
"Fancy meeting you here again," she greeted him, her voice laced with playful amusement as she approached.

It was rare for them to stop at such a large city, the siblings favoring the quiet countryside. Yet, occasionally a large restock was required or a speciality item would drive them in to a major hub such as the one on the Tale Jauhar boarder. Liio, for what it was worth, didn't mind, but often his sister would linger on the outskirts while he ventured in to do business.
As he made way through the throngs of market goers, he ignored the tempting cries of the merchants and focused only on the items needed within his list. Nodding to a familiar face, he began to browse the wares for some essentials with a keen and well honed eye.
The voice felt like a brush against his ear, a whisper in the cloud and a familiar mote. Turning, he caught the features of Ziel, dark in the high sunlight, and smiled charmingly in return.
"A welcome surprise, surely?"

"Of all the markets in all the cities, we just keep bumping into each other, don’t we?"
She rested a hand on her hip and tilted her head slightly. The familiar scent of spices and fresh bread filled the air, mixing with the warm sun, but her attention was on Liio now, her eyes sparkling with curiosity and a playful energy.
"Do you think it's fate or are you just following me?" she asked with a wink, her tone still light and teasing. But there was warmth in her smile, something genuine behind the eccentricity. She wasn’t really one to keep things at a surface level for long, though.
"Been here long?" she added, her eyes flicking around the market before landing back on him. "This place is so noisy compared to the quiet roads I’ve been on. I kind of miss the silence." Ziel paused for a moment, distracted by a glint of something shiny at a nearby stall, but quickly snapped back to the conversation, her focus shifting back to Liio.
"Anyway," she continued, brushing off the momentary distraction with a laugh, "How have you been doing? Stocking up on all the boring essentials, or are you here for something fun?" Her grin widened, and she rocked back on her heels. "Not that I’d judge, of course. I’m just here to patch up this poor old cloak of mine before it falls apart on me. And some supplies."

His smile was easy going and a bit flirtatious as he looked at the woman before him. She was giving him playful energy and he found himself easily returning it in full. While she might pull back, he easily stepped closer. Respectful, but present. He enjoyed a fun flirt.
"It must be fate for our paths to cross again and again. Maybe it's a sign." He replied smoothly, "Alas, I've only just stopped in after a bit of a trip in the wilds. The city always is the best place for a large restock...if you know where to shop you can get your coin's worth."
When she glanced at the stall, he too looked over to see what caught her eye, before his bright eyes turned back at her questions.
"I know a fair place to get that patched, if you'd like. The vendors here will swindle you into a new one that costs too much and will rip before you leave the city."

Ziel couldn’t help but smile at his charm. There was something magnetic about him.
“Fate, huh? I like the sound of that,” she replied, her voice light and teasing. “Maybe it’s the universe’s way of telling us we’re meant to have more adventures together. After all, who wouldn’t want to team up with someone who knows the best places for repairs?” She raised an eyebrow. Her gaze flickered back to the stall, but it was him she was truly interested in.
“A patched piece sounds much better than getting ripped off. But I’m not just looking for a repair; I could use some new clothing as well. What do you say? Care to show me your favorite vendors?” She could envision their day unfolding—exploring the market together, sharing laughs, and maybe even discovering a hidden gem or two.

He has spent quite some time, his whole life really, traveling with Elna. It wasn't a bad thing, but he was limited socially when they were in the wilds. Having other companions surely wouldn't hurt.
"Indeed. It would allow us to take on more dangerous paths, knowing where we can fix any messes." He added with a little cheek.
At her request, he nodded once and offered his arm, "I'm sure we could find a few sites for a makeover."

“I haven’t had a real wardrobe change in... well, ever! I’ve just been mixing and matching the same things forever,” Ziel said with a playful lilt to her voice. She simply didn’t see the need to bother with clothing all the time if she was just going to travel and wear it down. She took the offered arm and the opportunity to get a little closer, walking beside Liio with a casual ease that felt comfortable, even amidst the hustle of the street.
“I mean, clothes are great and all, but when you’re out in the wild, dodging beasts and avoiding thorny bushes, it’s not like fashion is at the top of my mind,” she continued, her smile widening as they passed several shops. “But this... this feels like a fun excuse to go all out!” And she had other things on her mind recently that would require her to look at least presentable when she was out and about.
