Kaiva moved methodically around her room, folding clothes and placing them neatly into the chests spread out around her bedroom. The late afternoon sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room as she worked. Her heart fluttered with excitement and nervous anticipation; she was finally taking the big step of moving out of her mothers' home and into her place in the city. As she closed up a few of the full chests ready to be taken away, Kaiva couldn't help but feel a pang of bittersweet nostalgia. This room had been her sanctuary for so many years, a cozy haven where she had laughed, cried, and dreamed. But now, it was time to spread her wings and embark on a new chapter of her life.
Just then, she heard the familiar sound of the front door opening downstairs, followed by some footsteps and then the voice of her brother. A rush of excitement coursed through her veins at the thought of seeing him again. It had been months since they’d last seen each other, and she couldn't wait to catch up and share the news of her impending move and talk about some of the night adventures she was having in the underground fighting rings. She didn’t think any of her mothers knew and she deeply wanted to talk about it with someone.
Hurrying down the stairs, Kaiva found Svadra standing in the foyer. "Svadra!" Kaiva exclaimed, unable to contain her excitement as she rushed forward to embrace one of her triplet siblings. "I've missed you!"

It had been years since Svadra had returned home, and after a quick drop off of the client, he was ready to return to see his family. He didn't realize how much he might have missed his home until he finally set back in through the front door. The heat he could forget, but the smells and senses of being home were nostalgic enough for a smile to show up on his languid face.
"Kaiva, Darling." He replied with a sparkle in his eyes as he returned the embrace, looking down on her. If she took a step back and studied him, she would sense that even in the more traditional Aishan fashions he still found a way to shine through.

Kaiva beamed at her brother, it had been far too long since they last saw each other, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement at the prospect of catching up with him.
"It's so good to have you home," she said, her voice filled with genuine joy. "Come on," Kaiva said, linking her arm through his. "Let's go to our sitting area. I want to hear all about your journey and why you're back home." She was curious to know where he’d been and why he was dressed as he was. She also wanted to share news of what she’d been up to lately. Svadra was someone she could actually share her secrets with.

For how much he stood out amonst the Aishans, he knew Kaiva would shine. She was glamorous, but still held that Aishan air that would make their mother proud. He wondered how their mothers were doing, obviously not home yet but hopefully they could all sit down for a leisurly evening. He really wasn't in the mood to be dragged about if he could help it.
Already his fingers itched to pull out his signature fan that he had grown up with, and he might need to go buy one or grab one that might be left in his room.
As Kaiva walked them toward the sitting area, he nodded lightly and obediently followed. He was not fussy and enjoyed someone taking control, always being an easy going sibling to this day.
"I admit, I am surprised at how sentimental this visit is. I can't seem to outgrow this place."

Kaiva led her brother towards their familiar sitting area. With a soft smile, she settled onto one of the cushioned seats, gesturing for him to join her.
"I understand," she replied, her voice carrying a gentle warmth. "There's something about this place that holds a piece of our hearts, tethering us to our roots." Leaning back against the plush cushions, she allowed herself a moment of reflection, the memories of their childhood flooding back like a cherished melody.
"As much as I've ventured beyond these walls, there's an undeniable pull that brings me back," she confessed, her gaze drifting to the ornate decor adorning the room. "Despite that, I think I’m just about ready to leave the nest so to speak." It wouldn’t be very long now before she left the family home, she’d already started looking at places she could move to. Something small, but still nice.
“Now, how have been your travels?” She was eager to learn where he’d been.

As he settled in, Svadra adjusted his cloth outfit to casually fan around him, all an effort to help with the dry heat. Moving his long hair off of his neck, he looked toward his sister as she continued the conversation. Ah, roots, what an interesting meaning for a hybrid such as the two of them. He wondered if Kaiva, who had decided not to necessarily pursue the ways of Aisha, realized the irony of such words.
"Not too much excitement, really. I've spent most of my time in Jauhar, though I did fall into a strange portal and end up in Dretch territory..." It was a casual finish, as if it were a moment of a normal day and not a prison escape attempt.
"Now what is this about venturing? Where about did you get off to?" He whispered lightly and leaned forward, as if conspiring on a secret.

Kaiva herself settled into a comfortable position and leaned over to grab a pitcher of water and two glasses from a nearby table. She poured both of them a glass.
"Not too much excitement!" Kaiva exclaimed loudly as her brother mentioned falling into a portal as if it was the most mundane thing in the world. "That's definitely a story to share." She added, settling back down. She couldn't believe he'd just so casually slip that into a conversation and then in the same breath ask her what she was up to.
She waved a hand at his question. "Oh you know, just doing some night fights in an underground ring." She said in a hushed tone before taking a sip of the water.

He leaned back with a hum at the thought, not blinking at such things. To be honest, considering where he was now being raised, it wasn't that surprising to have family who were fighting. The triplets were dainty or submissive, and all three were quite keen to just do their own thing. It was how they were raised - to be strong, powerful, and their own beings.
"It wasn't too impressive. These Dretch like to kidnap creatures and trap them underground. Was easy enough to get out." He replied, "I'm sure it was just as simple for you to slip out to your fight nights."

"I haven't come across any, what do they look like?" She'd heard stories of course from others, but it was different when it came from someone close. Someone who she knew wouldn't bolster his story to impress those who listened.
"Not as easy as you might think," Kaiva took another sip. "I did manage to get my own place which was easier, but Karo hasn't been keen on me being away for more than a day or two. Says I'm still a little young to be on my own." Even if she would be considered an adult soon on their birthday.
"Apart from the Dretch, how was Jauhar?"

Svadra took a moment to consider their look, before deadpanning his response in a simple "Unremarkable."
It wasn't filled with emotion, but just a blink and a response, as if simply that described enough. But then again, he didn't waste much time considering such things. They weren't glamourous, or beneficial, and so Svadra simply passed them along without an additional passing thought.
Taking a water, he too sipped at it as his sister spoke, blinking at the thought and irony of such a thing.
"She treats you like a youngling." He added, considering he himself had gone off halfway across Tendaji, surely Kavia could live in her own home in Sulburi.
"Jauhar is...Regal. Magical. Romantic. A bit boring, all things considered. They are a tribe there, and keep to themselves. Not much in terms of fashion and drama."

It was so like her brother to describe something as unremarkable that Kaiva couldn't help but laugh a little at his reply. Oh how she'd missed such takes.
"For now, though I suspect she's fully aware of where I've been spending my evenings and wants to keep an eye on it." That was if she hadn't told their other mother too, however no word from either of them yet.
"I didn't take you for a romantic," she was surprised that he seemed to have liked it this much even if he'd also used the word boring.
"As for drama and fashion, you've certainly come back to the right place." Kaiva huffed a little. "I do hope you'll at least attend some parties while you're here, then people can stop whispering about my bruises." And she'd at least have someone fun to go with for a bit. "Unless you plan on leaving soon?"

He wondered if his mothers really cared about Kaiva's activities. Surely they would appreciate their children being strong, independent, and taking their lives in their own hands. Or at least that's what he reassured himself when he disappeared for his long journey in the cool hours of the morning so long ago. Following in his mother's footsteps was one part of the reasoning, the other was simply he wanted to get out of the monotony of Sulburi.
His smile was lucid at her comment about romance, though he kept mum to such things. He wasn't a romantic, but he did like the art of flirting. It was an easygoing play that he could do again and again.
"Hmmm." He replied slowly, thinking about the timing. Being a warrior meant his training was over and he had the flexibility to explore the world, but did he plan to stay very long in the city?
"Well, I'm not bored yet." He replied simply.

That was a rather very secretive answer, one of Kaiva’s brows rose questioningly at him.
“What are you doing next anyway? Or where do you plan on going?” For her own part, Kaiva felt no need to travel as much as her siblings and in any case she was having quite a bit of fun in the rings. She didn’t see herself traveling for some time at least. Though she was curious about visiting some Aishian areas, just not curious enough yet to set off and see them. She also very much liked her very comfortable life here.

Eventually he would have to return to Jauhar, or so he assumed. That and Crocus was around here somewhere and they'd probably need to travel back together. And yet, he didn't quite feel that was his home either. Maybe he'd settle somewhere else, or explore a bit further. Either way, his casual shrug of an uncovered shoulder was all he had to provide to his sister, still sipping on the ice cold water as his eyes glanced about the area.
"I've found myself with a bit of flexibility these days."

Kaiva's brow never desended, so she put her glass down and clasped her hands together.
"What are you hiding?" She questioned as she eye'd her brother, he was acting awfully suspicious in her eyes. These were quite the vague answers and she'd never taken him before as someone who hid things from his siblings. "Or at least what aren't you saying?" She found it odd that he had no real plan, was here randomly, and didn't know where he was headed next. Or so he claimed. Would he really hide things from her? Kaiva doubted it but Svadra had also spent a whole lot of time outside of Oba recently.
