Another glorious island day, she really didn't care if they never went back to the mainland. This was where she was happiest, if they would transition between here and that mystical semi secret part in the middle of the Matori island that was her original home she would be very very happy. She felt free and clear of all worry.
She delightedly took her bowl of crab meat and was about to eat it when a wiff of the fresh seafood hit her and her stomach did a big flip flop. That was strange. The smell was off putting and yet they had been eatting crab on and off since they had arrived at the island and it had never bothered her before.

She poked at the food in the bowl and ate some of the rice instead. She put the crab in Raol's bowl instead. "For some reason I don't want it." She shrugged. Better to listen to your body than regret it later.

Kechiri 2
"Fair enough, you are probably right." She munched the home made fruit jerky with relish, it was so good, full of sunlit flavours and sugar. Some of the most deliscious stuff she had had and it was fun to make it and let it dry in the sun.
They saddled up their partly trained critters and she noticed that Radagast didn't put up his usual amount of fuss. He was usually much worse than Riptide her well trained snaptrotter but right now he was being careful to step softly and quietly. She squinted at him. Perhaps her training had worked.

Unbeknownst to them Radagast had scented a change in his mistresses scent and knew without a doubt that she was with egg, and one did not mess with females who were with egg, and he had to admit to himself that he loved his new mistress, even if she told him what to do all the time. She was feisty and fair and he loved that about her. That and they had not separated him from his mate so there was that.

Kechiri 3
Overall the ride went well and they explored parts they had explored many times before, but she never got bored with it. They always found at least something new each time, and that kept it interesting. Plus it was the best way to find the freshest fruit too. It was a daily ritual that they both enjoyed.

She made a point of feeding Radagast treats often as he was being very good. They got off the trotters at one point to harvest some fruit and she packed what she had found in her saddle bags. She moved to help Raolvar with his.
This put her in close proximity to her mate and seemed to make Zorna calm down somewhat. She was behaving most oddly, perhaps she was ready to breed again, that would explain much.

"I think your trotter is in heat Rao." His trotter had stopped making that subsonic purr that indicated angst.

Kechiri 4
She covered his hand with hers automatically and then froze at his words. Her swift mind already crunching through some calculations. "I think you are right, my moon blood is quite late." Her face lit up. "My gods Raol we have done it! As to going back to the mainland let us wait a while longer, upon our return we can go to the healer but an increase in size of this here bump should also tell us, but I will lay off the grog, not that I was drinking all that much to begin with. Grog being a rare thing out here."

She hugged him back. Oh finally all the odd critter behaviour made perfect sense. "I can't believe it, but I so very much hope you are right!" She wanted a child, his child so very bad.

Maybe she wouldn't be able to wait too long to find out. Perhaps they could make the trip and then return? She loved the peace of their island. "We will have to build a proper place."

Kechiri 5
She made a most embarrassing squeak as she went down with him. "If you are asking that question then you already know the answer, a bad father wouldn't care if he were a good father. Look at my Dad he was super scary and he raised three girls and my brother." She flicked her hair back importantly always pleased at the reminder of where she stood in her family. Uncle Thal was too laid back to matter so that put Aunty Ny and her Dad up at the top of the family tier if one cared about such things. Which she did and she kept track of the standings as was her nature.
"I want many children with you Rao." She hoped she was carrying twins or even triplets like Aunty Terr and her grandmother, how grand it would be to have many children and one labour.
She was nothing if not efficient. As was her nature, logic, reason and rage each played a part in her life.

"Hmm I am not sure about names yet, the thought hadn't occured to me either, I expect maybe we will know when we see them born, it would also help to know a gender as well, what if the name we pick out just doesn't suit them?" As he had implied names were important to her too.
"I just don't know, I do know that I don't want to rush back to the mainland to be fussed over just yet. I want to be sure that this is what it is.

She was very very pleased with herself, pleased with her mate and pleased with their remote island home. There was always the chance the pirates would find her here but the island was too small to offer much besides the ship itself. She was hoping that her colors would keep them away on principle. Pirates were such cowards and they would think the whole crew was here with her. She was a dangerous woman all told.

"Whats to be afraid of? They are just my family and I will prevent Daddy from skinning you alive he wouldn't do anything to me. They might be overjoyed at the baby or they might be a bit consternated at me for making them grandparents at such a young age. The most important part is that we want this and we love each other and you treat me like a princess. What parents wouldn't want that for their child. Besides you inherit a huge family that just keeps getting bigger so let us add to our branch properly and represent the Ninyelt clan with good iceling blood with a dash of water to keep things interesting. Though if our kids don't like to swim I will be returning them for new ones. We will have aquatic babies, it would be the same as a kahi that didn't like water.

Something appeared on the horizon, another ship, so she moved to stay around it. Gyrfalcon was fast, she wasn't too worried and likely it was just a merchantman coming home after a big trade.
