The Buffet (4): A lengthy walk through the Crystal Garden and the Art Gallery must have worked up quite an appetite. Thankfully, the event has an amazing catering team. The buffet is regularly replenished and filled with all sorts of food meant to please every guest. They were set to meet up at the buffet before seeing the rest of the event. Abby had been the one to pick the meeting spot since she had really wanted to see what they whipped up. She liked to think she was a decent enough cook herself so it was always fun trying new dishes and mentally planning on how to recreate them. Leah hurried along quickly, frowning because she was running behind, but she had to stop by her cousins in the morning and her little cousins weren’t too keen on letting her leave. She had to distract them with candy which she was sure Mercy wouldn't be too happy about in an hour. She was happy though that it didn't take long to find Abby, hurrying over to her and sighing.

Abby waved at her friend, swallowing her current bite before she assured Leah that it was quite alright. “They love having you over so it's understandable. This? It's a raspberry chocolate brownie from Puppy Paws Café, their little station is right over there.” She pointed out the spot she had picked up her treat. “It's very good. Fantastic balance between the tart raspberry and the sweet chocolate. Cooked just long enough too.” It was definitely a desert that she would have to try to replicate.

A trashcan took care of her debris and a napkin erased even the smallest of powdered sugar dust on her hands. “So where would you like to begin on your culinary travels? Or do you want to go see the rest of the event first before coming back?” She pointed out one other table where two deserts were. “Those are going fast though. So if you want to try them we might want to pick them up now.”

There are quite a few sweets but it seemed the event planners did their best to balance them out with the savory stuff. This has a good blend of spices, the mushrooms add a good mouth feel too.” She started to give her take on the meal, pointing out others as she went. “I know. I know. But cooking is just so very fascinating. It's both an art and a science. Oh, this looks good!”

Dairy and bread help with it.” She also knew that peanut butter and honey also helped but she didn’t think the peanut butter would be easily found among the offerings. Severe allergies were just too possible in that situation.
