There was no sound other than the distant chatter of the city in general but Ellicott wasn’t expecting any. She had chosen the fenced off parking lot for a reason. The buildings around were all either in some stage of abandoned construction or were just straight up abandoned, there was no one around which suited her perfectly. The lot also let her monitor her surroundings for anyone approaching, especially with ill intent. Once assured that she was truly alone the senshi started to limber up. She needed time to practice and get used to her new outfit and skills. After so many years she had finally been granted more power… and she was no longer a chibi. It was both fantastic and a bit disconcerting. So many things were different now… just her skirt alone was going to take some getting used to. Just about the only thing that she was exceedingly happy for were the shoes currently on her feet.
Those had been a pleasant surprise especially since she had spent years barefoot. Being without shoes made fighting a lot harder that's for sure.

Hatter just left another person teetering off to crash, hopefully in a bed and not an alleyway and hopefully not behind the wheel of a car. He moved to find his next energy source only to notice what he now knew was an white moon aura. He frowned because it seemed stronger that the one of the little green senshi, but he decided to check it out. If he got into much trouble he could call on Pez and Taf.
When he walked into the parking out he show a girl senshi in what appeared to be some sort of african garb. It was a far cry from his outfit and certainly not fit for winter. “Arent you cold,” he asked looking at the girl with a raised brow.

The super senshi had felt the approach of the corrupt but chose to apparently ignore it. She found that half the time they either ran right in to fight or they wanted to talk. The whole ‘we have cookies, join the dark side” and all that. Ellicott wasn’t interested but if they wanted to chat maybe she could convince them they were standing on the wrong side of history. They were of course. The ones that drank the kool aid tended to get snappish at that point but the others, they went away with a bee in their britches. She wasn’t sure which corruption was going to be but at least the question wasn’t a bad start.
“Yes but I won’t be for long. It’s better than possibly overheating in excessive layers while exercising.” Besides, Ellicott knew that if she wanted to warm up she just had to power down. She had planned on truely running through her ‘paces’ as it were so she didn’t want to add too much to her layering. The current uniform was going to throw her off as it were.

Hatter frowned a little concerned about what kind of exercise she planned on doing and took a step back. “I'm happy mine is warm and I can take the coat off come summer.” The girl seemed a lot calmer than the BO senshi he ran into the night he found out his sister was a part of this war. He wondered despite how strong she felt if he could manage to drain her.
“By exercise, what exactly do you mean because I dont see a late night senshi gym around anywhere,” he said with a frown even knowing the smart a** comment might rub her the wrong way. The comment came out in a bored drawl and he crossed his arms looking the picture of unperturbed.

Ellicott just smiled, it wasn’t a sweet smile. More like a patronizing one. One that practically screamed, ‘******** around…. I want you to find out.’ Instead she just stretched and cracked her neck a bit. “A gym isn’t necessary when a fool stumbles by. Would you like a demonstration?” She hadn’t been planning on sparing with anyone, or fighting with them. But it wasn’t exactly unexpected. If she really, really, REALLY, wanted to run through her paces without getting interrupted then she would just have to cobble together an imitation uniform and practice in that. Or at least the skirt. She already practiced in a skirt sometimes but well… it wasn’t quite the same when your jumps have so much more power behind them then when you are a civilian.
The senshi balanced on her feet, prepared to take any surprise the corrupt could throw at her. “Are you going to just stand there and gawk? Or are you going to see if you get your a** handed to you by a girl?”

“We shall see who is foolish,” he said in french before frowning and rolling his eyes. “Please don't start spouting feminine nonsense. I am well versed in how well woman can fight.” His girlfriend was a boxer after all and his sister recanted her battle tales to him trying to boast.
He gave her a bow and tipped his hat to her, with a smile, before saying, “hats off to you.”
He smiled as hats popped into place on the ground around the two senshi, one very close to the girl, most scattered here and there. They did nothing at first, but would start exploding shortly or should she step on one.
{{Madhatter tips his hat and around 10 hats appear on the ground around Madhatter in a 10ft radius around Hatter. They explode randomly in the time they are out, but if stepped on, the hats explode on contact. The explosion is a hard gust of air, more likely to startle or trip someone than to cause physical damage. The hats last for about 20 seconds and Hatter can use the attack twice.}}

Ellicott just raised a brow, she had no idea what he had said in french… if that was french, since it wasn’t one of the languages she had picked up. It sounded french. Nor was she wasn’t about to argue with him about fighting skills, she just braced herself for the inevitable attack and when it came, all she could do was gawk.
“Hats? That's it? Hats!?!?” She absently kicked at one of the tophats that appeared around her only to have the thing explode practically in her face. The concussive force blew her back by a good bit but what was worse was that all of the other hats started to explode in a chain reaction. By the time the detonations were done Ellicott was quite some distance away, blown back by the force of the burst magic and trying to avoid actually tripping or causing any other kind of personally caused injury. “s**t,” She muttered quietly. It wasn’t exactly a ‘danger’ but it did mean it was harder to actually engage in close combat. Her magic wasn’t something that could counter that.
With little other options, outside of leaving the field of battle which she wasn’t about to do, Ellicott moved quickly and rapidly approached him mostly just to shorten the distance and make any counter attack easier to control. He hadn’t actually hurt her so she went for a simple leg sweep, letting him land on his butt would be cathartic for her after the little game of hat mindfield.

Hatter was surprised when she did the dumbest thing and decided to kick the hat. “Dumb, dumb, dumb,” he mutter in french, watching his magic do its thing. He really loved the attack, it was quite amusing and no one seemed to predict what the hats were meant to do until it was too late. He didn't think anyone with half a brain would willing chance an enemy senshi’s magic like she did.
He watched as she ran up to him and was content to let her get near to him because he could use his magic again and she’d either have to deal or back off. He jumped to avoid the sweep of her leg and wondered if she was underestimating him. He wasnt a trained fighter, but certainly spent enough time in the WWE sibling arena growing up. His sister was a tiny little a*****e demon from day one. He swore she was put on this earth just to give him hell for a while. Mid jump he tips his hat to her again and a somewhat sadistic smile. “Hats off to you,” he said watching the hats up around them then going on the offense, throwing punches at the girl to catch her off guard and give his attack time.

She did her best to block the punch using her forearm to redirect it but it still smarted. They were both powered and as such they both threw punches and kicks a lot harder than her teacher did in class. In the meantime she also had to keep an eye on those damn hats. They weren’t exactly a threat but they were a nuisance… one she wanted to either use to her advantage or get out of range for, as best as she could. Ellicott did a Chapa de frente, from her capoeira classes. The basic frontal push kick was intended to shove him back into his own stupid hats even as she used the momentum into a backwards flip just as the hats started to go off.
The blast of air didn’t really throw off her trajectory too much, she just had to twist a bit more in the air. Or at least that's what she planned. It was quite a bit harder to pull off in reality so when she landed on her feet she stumbled into a basic Negativa crouch from class. By being low low to the ground on one's side, with the leg closest to the ground tucked to the chest, the other extended, she was able to balance herself and mostly avoid any further complications from the hat explosions. It wasn’t one of the most elegant positions but it did set her up for more attacks, or blocks, as needed.

With him throwing punch after punch Hatter didn't know how she managed to gain enough space and time for her to try to kick him, but he barely had a moment to dodge and certainly not enough space. He braced himself and tried to grab hold of her leg as she tried to flip away from him. His hats started going off around them, but he didn't back off he kept right on after the girl who landed crouch not far off. He was in front of her before the last of the hats exploded raising foot and bringing it down to attempt to stomp on the girls thigh.
“Fancy foot work you got there,” he said in English, his tone irritated before switching to french. “Let's see if it will remain as such if I break your femur.”

She honestly needed the space for a breather, it had been hard enough to block his rapid punches, and had in fact not blocked them all, just a large portion of them. Add in the explosions and it wasn’t surprising that it felt like her ears were still ringing and yet the corrupt had followed after her during her ‘escape’. Ellicott wasn’t all that surprised really, but she didn’t hesitate to twist into one of the kicks she hadn’t fully been able to pull off. The kick was ‘all the rage’ with the boys in the class since it was aired on one of those ‘which fighting style is better’ shows but she wanted to learn it because it was one of the stronger ground attacks.
If she performed it properly that is.

Hatter didn't know how the senshi did what she did, but what he did know was he got launched and had hat explode in his face. It was more than a little annoying. He frowned deeply climbing to his feet and groaned. His ribs really hurt, he was sure that he was going to have a large bruise.
He glared at her, but knew it was better to get out of there, he was winded and in quite a bit of pain. “You are lucky I am alone. You won’t be so lucky the next we run into each other.” She likely wouldn’t understand him as what he said was growled out in french.
Hatter left quickly, holding his bruised ribs.

Ellicott flipped the corrupt bird as he scampered away, she had no idea what his last words were but she had a feeling it was something like ‘I’ll get you next time!’ or some other cliche statement. She didn’t really care. She stood up slowly, wincing when she realized she had pulled something during the fight. Looked like she was going to have to call it a night herself as well since her ears were still ringing a bit and as the adrenalin faded Ellicott was really starting to feel the injuries she had gotten.
With a sigh she grabbed her stuff and headed home, limping slightly as her pulled muscle made it hard to move normally. She needed to practice more. That was painfully clear…. Literally.
