Doesina 1 Doesina had been bustling about all day, fussing over different preparations. On her bed had sat a bag, small enough to carry easily on her shoulder on a hike through the forest. A new bag, one she had traded recently with an older Elaria to serve a purpose. It was finely made, woven carefully by the retired warrior with little sewn animals along the bottom. It was always a pity to see such skills go to waste until the Aishan was too old to do anything but retire her weapons. They should all be free to choose what skills they wanted to take up. At least it was becoming more common place to have hobbies. That was a start.
All around this bag she had dumped out different goodies she had brought back with her from Jauhar. Teas, candies, dried fruit she had made herself, different pressed leaves from the tall trees, and anything else she could get her hands on that was small enough to take across the water with her back home. Some of that she had given to her mother. Some to her grandmother, particularily the dried leaves and flowers she found, as well as giving her a taste of the dried fruit, a world she'd only heard about from her own mother. Everything else had gone into this other bag. Everything except a little box of Yael teas she had placed on a shelf by her bed, still half full of the fruity blends. She didn't keep anything else herself, for she wanted to ensure she had a reason to return herself one day and see it, free of the obligations that had sent her there in the first place. She'd had a taste of adventure and she wanted more.
But for now, Doesina was content to share her own world with her hybrid friend. Giving her tours of everything she remembered exploring so much in her youth. The secret flower spots. The beautiful pool she loved to soak in. Now it was tiem to share something else. Hopefully her letter had reached its destination.
"Careful here," the Elaria warned, holding out her hand in case it was needed. "It can get a bit steep here."

Vilasini felt disoriented whenever she woke up lately, the hybrid still adapting to the fact that she wasn’t in Jahaur sleeping in her own bed. Out of all the countries that she had ever expected to explore the island country of Yael had never crossed her mind before. Matori and Oba had seemed like ideal locations for a performer where others still whispered about how the Yaeli were so superstitious and wary of most foreigners that surely entertaining them would be near impossible. Yet here she was visiting that very country with Doesina as her guide. Not that Sini minded, she was enjoying every moment of it despite darting around in the shadows to avoid a certain Elidae that she was afraid of annoying. She truly didn’t want to cause any issues for Doesina so she tried her hardest to keep from any confrontations while just exploring whichever part of the ship was safe during their voyage from Jahaur towards Yael. After her initial fears, Sini turned it into a game of sorts by seeing how far she could dart around the corner before running away again to slip into the shadows where she would either go back to her cabin or go visit with Doesina to watch the ocean horizon together along the way.
Now that they were back on land the hybrid sorted through her own belongings that she had scattered across the bed, a collection of familiar things from Jahaur mixed in with the little souvenirs she had already picked up since arriving in Yael. She had to bring something back for Rek, after all! How else was she supposed to try and appease him for darting away like this with only a note waiting for him back home? The very thought brought a small smile to her lips as she finished sorting through things and settled on a smaller travel bag for today’s excursion with Doesina. They were going to another spot today and potentially meeting up with someone that Doesina had wanted her to meet, which was fairly exciting. She couldn’t necessarily go into any of the Zinris areas so whatever they could see together was a blessing that she would gladly take! She even had a pair of throwing knives tucked neatly against her leggings in their holders, the hybrid taking her lessons with Doesina very seriously as she prepared for any potential dangers along the way. Other than that she was dressed casually in a snug tunic and boots to stay warm against the cooler Yaeli climates with her slightly longer and now blue hair tied back in the ponytail that she had started wearing more often as of late. It helped out a lot especially once they started climbing together across the steeper landscape, Sini taking the offer of a hand just so that she could enjoy the contact as she allowed the Elaria to guide her.
“Is that so?” Sini squeezed Doesina’s hand as she relied upon her help to move forward, the hybrid trying to peer around the taller Elaria so that she could survey the landscape. “We weren’t planning on going cliff diving, were we? I heard there were some good spots in Jahaur for it but I never did much diving myself.” She commented with a small smile, amusement dancing across her expression as she kept looking around while following Doesina’s lead. Hopefully whoever they were meeting would show up here soon. She truly was curious to see who it was!

Teletta was ready and and excited, though not entirely for herself. She wondered if Strix and Koki both remembered Doesina. Teletta's best friend had been there when she'd had met them both even helped scare off the earthlings who'd been after Strix. She pat the now fully grown radaku ruffling his fluffy mane "You excited too?" Ever since he'd grown to his full size Teletta had started practicing riding him. It was different than her families Quirstine by a lot but with time she'd gotten better and so had Strix traversing Yael's landscape. Not as graceful as the Quirstine but he'd started getting used to the more rocky terrain. Teletta was quite proud of him. She was also really happy for Doesina had finally started spending some more time for herself. Doesina, Teletta kneww had spent a long time in Jauhar waiting for her cousin but it seems as though everything had been settled and Doesina had come back Teletta had received a letter telling her so and she couldn't wait to see her friend again! She saddled Strix and headed out with Koki nestled comfortably on her shoulders. Teletta made her way to their meeting spot, she spotted the Elarian first before noting someone who was rather unfamiliar which instantly made Teletta more interested to meet her. "Doesina!" Teletta called as she made her way to their meeting spot.

Doesina 2 A smile flashed across the Elaria's face, her fingers closing around Sini's hand, holding it up between them like something precious as she guided her down the steep terrain, assuming her help had been needed after all. "You think I'd want to risk you taking a fall?" Doesina squeezed the hybrid's hand in turn, her thumb gently caressing for a few seconds, also enjoying the brief contact before letting go. As much as the temptation was to keep it, one needed all their senses to pay attention out in the wilderness and it was difficult to focus enough as was sometimes. "Of course, if you were to fall, I'd get the chance to catch you," she added with a little laugh, failing to resist the urge to tease a little. "I could show you some nice diving spots another time. Plenty of swimming holes to be found here."
The sound of someone approaching caught her attention and she turned her head as they came upon the usual meeting place of childhood. For a moment she was confused, than surprised, to see a Jauhar animal instead of the more common Quristine. Than it all came back to her. The last time she had seen him, he had been a tiny little pup. Or as tiny a pup as a mount could get.
"Teletta!" she called in return, opening her arms wide as if she meant to rush forward into a hug, hesitating at the last minute. "He's not still feisty, is he?"

"I'm pretty good at tumbling, you should know that." Sini replied with a grin, her cheeks flushed from the hike and their connected hands. As Doesina let go of her hand she had to resist pressing it against her chest, Sini instead rubbing her fingers together and enjoying the warmth that lingered there for a moment before moving after her companion. "Oh? I could give you the chance, but since I'm fairly nimble something like falling might have to be on purpose." She shook her head at the teasing, still debating how much of their banter was simply playful or leading towards something more. "Maybe we'll have to try swimming soon, we can dive into the water together and do some tricks."
Though swimming would definitely have to wait it seemed. Sini's gaze lit up with interest when she saw someone approaching them. The last thing she had expected to see in Yael was a radaku and she was even more surprised that the Yaeli riding on top of the creature was familiar with Doesina. Her already tinted cheeks flushed more with confusion as she looked between the pair. "Sini" She called out with a grin as she raised a hand in greeting, offering the nickname she was more comfortable with. "Figured I may as well throw my name out there too. It's nice to meet you!" After a pause she took a step closer to Doesina, tilting her head slightly. "Your friend, right?" She whispered quietly towards Doesina. This wasn't like a friendly exchange between enemies before they drew weapons, right? Not that she would expect such a thing considering she was with Doesina. It was hard to imagine the Elaria being an enemy of anyone really, she was far too open and nice and....well a lot of positive things that made Sini's heart flutter at times with all that teasing.

Teletta waited for a moment as she watched Doesina's face switch from confusion to recognition and Teletta's face switched to a grin. "He grew really well didn't he?" she said sliding off Strix, "He's a bit more tolerant, though I still have work to do." She said honestly, though after a brief observation Teletta giving her best friend a big hug. it had been a few years since she'd seen Doesina "How've you been?" she said switching her attention to Sini then back to Doesina "Pretty good it seems like..." She said in a friendly teasing manner. "Nice to meet you Sini, I'm Teletta," The yaeli smiled "This is Strix and Koki," motioning to the radaku and then the purple sirara perched on her shoulders. Seeing Sini's rather confused looking between Teletta and Doesina, she understood. Yeah why would a yaeli be friends with an Elaria, one of the aishain extremists that murdered countless yaeli not even that many generations ago. Honestly, it was a series of coincidences that lead to the two meeting and then becoming friends secretly, she still hadn't told her family that she'd kept Doesina as her fried knowing full well of their reaction. "I suppose we should tell her, how we became friends." Teletta said with a light chuckle giving the taller woman a friendly elbow.
