Kerberos meant the world to Vela she had been lost she had lost her civilian past when she purified, she had been awakened as a corrupt senshi and she had never left a real connection with the negaverse, she had always felt empty and angry. She had only wanted to go to college and work. Go to clubs and go shopping sometimes, she wanted a normal life. Instead she got the negaverse and a place where it felt like a senshi didn't fit in. When she joined the white moon side she felt her connection to her world for the first time and she felt home.
A home that needed her. She had been in a tight spot having to start over and not being able to go back to school since she didn't have the money and she wasn't who she used to be. She was Samantha Brand now, senshi of bonfires. She had her own little apartment and she had a job thanks to Kerberos. Today she was out in the park to meet up with him while they were powered up. She knew that since she hadn't changed who she was as a senshi she was at risk, but she felt ready to face the darkness that haunted her.
She was no longer afraid, well she had never really been afraid, if the negaverse wanted to come at her she welcomed it. She was ready for the fight. She grinned to herself she would kick choa's butt.

It was necessary, Kerberos felt, for him to look after any purified Senshi that wanted it. Particularly those like Vela, that had made their choice in a dramatic fashion, where everyone could see and where they made themselves massive targets.
So. Give her a job. help her navigate life, the way he'd had people help him when he left the Negaverse. Make sure that she wasn't lost and alone, that she wasn't at risk of being reclaimed. The idea of letting someone that had put her trust in the White Moon fall throguh the cracks...it made his chest hurt. Leaving the Negaverse meant losing so much, and there had to be someone to catch you.
On both sides, really. So it was as Kerberos that he waited for her on his bench, and when he spotted her approaching, he waved to beckon her over.
"Vela! Come on, sit down. I brought hot chocolate." And true to his word, a cup for her sat in a carrier on the bench, between him and an open spot for her to sit.

Vela didn't argue she sat down and smiled "Ok." She sat sitting down "So I'm thinking of going to my homeworld.. see if I can start fixing things.. somehow anyways, it's not going to be easy it's dry and windy. It's a mess really." She said with a sigh. This was important to her. She wanted to bring life back to Vela since Vela had been without her all this time. She had been cut off from her world when she was a corrupt. She felt like her world was meant to be something other than it was right now, she was the senshi of bonfires she imagined warm summer nights with bonfires blazing on the hills. She didn't think it was meant to be a dusty waste land.

As soon as she mentioned her homeworld, Kerberos visibly perked up. There was nothing that excited him quite so much as space--the restoration of all those beautiful dots in the universe, and all the time and effort it might take to bring them back.
Time and effort well spent, in his opinion.
"You absolutely should," Kerberos said. "My world was a mess the first time I got up there, but the more time I spend, the more everything repairs. Not just plants, and not even just animals--buildings have started to look less ruined. The whole world is putting itself back together, and it's only because I've put in the time. Your world can be the same."

She smiled and then said "Also, I'm thinking of applying for some jobs that are more suited to me, it's just too quiet around your shop and it drives me crazy." She said with a laugh "I appreciate everything you've done for me but I can't lean on you forever." She said with a smile. She didn't think he would be upset, she was sure he would want her to do what she wanted to do. She listened and then said "So you don't have to actually fix things, you just have to go there?" That surprised her a lot, she was sure she would have to like build cannals or something to bring water back to the land. Just being there huh.

Kerberos laughed. "That's fair--I'm glad I could help you get on your feet. I hope you can find something that suits you better. And you know that if you ever need help, you can call me, no matter what." That offer would extend for as long as he was capable of keeping it.
"Each world is different, and you do have to put in some work. I do a lot of weeding and cleaning, and it's still not perfect. But it's not all your own two hands--the more love and care you put into your world, the better it'll get. Its magic responds to your efforts."

Vela smiled and said "I couldn't have gotten this fair this fast without you, thank you." She nodded "That makes sense, I'll have to go to my world and start fixing things, I think it's kinda like a dry waste land right now, but I also think that is because I wasn't there for so long." She said with a sigh. "Senshi don't belong in the negaverse I wonder if anyone really dose, I bet the agents are cut off from something too because of chaos."

Kerberos nodded. "I don't know if it's all agents, but I've known agents who purified and become Knights. Chaos...I don't think it's the natural state of anyone's starseed. I don't think anyone is supposed to be corrupted. But once it gets its claws in you, it's hard to shake it off. You have to want to change."
And that was the hard part, wasn't it. The wanting.

She nodded and then said "I guess I go lucky meeting senshi in the fog who were willing to help a corrupt and talk to them." She said with a nod "I figure I'll give you my two weeks notice now, I have enough money saved up till I find another job." She said with a smile.

"That's what it comes down to, sometimes. That, and people on our side being willing to lend a hand." He reached, over, and squeezed her shoulder, a little bit of brotherly affection. "I'm proud of you, Vela. You've really come into your own, ever since you purified. And I can't wait to see what you do next."
This was what made it all worth it. All the stress, all the heartache, all the fear--it was all worth it to know that someone was helped by what he did.
