Belenos knew she had to go out and make more friends, especially when two of her closest were going to have to go away. It really sucked, thinking about Murikabushi and Volterra leaving, but... They wanted it, and Belenos wouldn't stop them just because she liked the Dark Mirror Court. It wasn't her place. Those two had their own lives they wanted to control, and it was... really good of them to stand up for themselves. She was proud of them. Even if it really, really hurt to lose them. So! Here she was, looking out for people to make new friends of. Which was hard. Because most White Moon people didn't really want to approach the Chaos guys and Belenos didn't really think she'd jive with a lot of the Negaverse guys anyway just because they were both in realms of Chaos, and a lot of them scared her, anyway. But they had one thing, and that was, apparently, some kind of... like... furry... people. Half person, half anthro animal of whatever kind the universe decided to bestow upon them. And she really, really wanted to know all sorts of things about them and that whole deal they had going on. Naturally, she chose to express this by dropping in on one and giving a most cheery, "Hello! I'm Belenos, can you tell me about your, like, fursona thing you got going on?"

Sakuraiite was not, generally, a bright, cheerful person. She was, moreso, reserved, quiet, and quite frankly avoidant of the sort of loud brightness that was radiating off this particular Dark Mirror Senshi. But it would be rude to say so, and so she simply smiled, and folded her hands behind her back, and regarded the girl with what she hoped was a correct amount of polite interest. Not so much that it might make this into something, but enough that she didn't seem rude.
"Captain Sakuraiite," she said. "It is not....a fursona thing. I nearly died, and was saved by being merged with a youma and made into an officer." She told the story with very little emotion--she remembered none of it, only what had been explained to her. "It was an involuntary process, but I do not regret it."

Ah... Well. Belenos had really gone and just put her foot all the way in her mouth, coming out her a**, and kicked herself in it. Wow wow wow wow wow. Wow. She was a pure idiot and an a*****e and the worst jerk in the world for that. "Oh, s**t," she said softly, face burning with shame at her blunder. "Still, I'm sorry you nearly died. That's an awful thing to have happen, even if you are happy as you are now. It's like, always nice to be alive, right? So you were merged with a youma?" She tilted her head curiously. "What kind? You're, um, super pretty. Like, really mega pretty? Your scales are totally gorgeous."

Oh, good, the poor girl looked terribly awkward. That was a relief, maybe it would make this interaction end sooner. People hated to feel embarrassed, after all, and even if Sakuraiite really didn't think there was anything to be embarrassed about--how could Belenos have known--she was more than willing to take advantage of that to end a situation she did not want to be in as quickly as possible.
"It's not so terrible. As I said, I don't really remember any of it, just waking up like this. So this has not been....particularly upsetting for me, since it is the only life I know." She shrugged her shoulders. She really, really did not want pointless empathy or apologies for something that didn't upset her, and the idea of performing distress for someone else's benefit sounded....ugh. No, thank you.
"As I understand, the youma was a kirin--a sort of lion-dragon-unicorn, thus the scale,s horns, and so forth."

Belenos nodded, humming a bit thoughtfully. How interesting... She'd have to look up what kirins were when she finally made her way home, then, because a lion, a dragon, and a unicorn all having a baby sounded like it would produce interesting results—and sure, one of a sort stood in front of her, but like, human had also clearly been added to the mix, and she wanted to know all of the lore that came with kirins, now. She liked mythological creatures and whatever cool s**t they had going on. "That sounds very cool," she informed Sakuraiite, looking over her again. "And looks cool, too. Sorry, can I ask what it's like, being half youma? I've always thought it would be kind of cool to be, like, partially an animal." Shut up shut up shut up, she told herself, feeling her embarrassment return to overtake her curiosity. "Erm, but if you don't want to answer, that's fine, of course, I just..." She spread her hands out. "I just think it's cool and you're one of the cutest girls I've ever seen and I'm kinda gay and stupid?"

Ah. This interaction was not going the way Sakuraiite wanted. Namely, it was not ending. She sighed, more than slightly discontented, but forced her polite little smile to stay firmly in place. Perhaps questions were to be expected, after all. She was a strange creature, formed of magic and sacrifice, and wholly unlike anything else that existed on Earth.
"I strongly suspect that whatever you have in mind when you imagine being part animal, it is not the experience of a half-youma." What a silly, naive little girl, with the most ridiculously amusing notions. "It is...isolating, somewhat. I can only appear fully human for three hours a day, so I have to spend most of my time in Negaspace. I cannot do many things that I imagine most humans take fully for granted, with such limited time. And I....have to smartly ration when I leave. But in return, I have powerful magic at my fingertips, and I would not go back, even if I could."
There was a flash of amusement in her eyes at the compliments, though. That had her attention. Casually, she strode forward, and tapped Belenos's nose with her finger. "You're very sweet. I do think that my transformation has made me quite beautiful--I'm glad you agree."

Belenos frowned a little at that, but Sakuraiite had clearly indicated she didn't want someone feeling sorry for her when she liked her life, so she schooled her expression—at least, until the boop, when she blushed so hard she was sure she'd set fire to something. "Cool thanks see you later bye!" she squeaked out all in one breath, feeling like the world's most hopeless lesbian, and skedaddled as fast as she could.
