Having some one shop with her while pregnant was something Mercy never thought she would enjoy, but Shannon was entertaining and fun. Plus she could be just as sassy as her when it counted. Currently she was looking for the Carters, laughing at Alistair who did nothing but stare at Shannon the entire day, saying nothing. She wasn't sure what was up with her youngest but as long as he wasn't crying she could live with that. Lucien was trying to get out of the stroller, but one look from his mother and he instantly stopped. “Miss Shannon….Wry is your hair two colors? Mommys is one and so is daddys. Can I have your hair color please?” Mercy shook her head, looking to her taller friend, “I'm so sorry. He acts like he's never seen you before in his life or something. Lu baby, your hair is blonde like daddys remember?”

Shannon smiled down at the little boy even as he waved away his mother’s apology. “Oh I don’t mind at all.” Truthfully she kinda did but that's mostly because she wasn’t a big kid person but she was a massive ‘money’ person and the woman currently strolling along with her had quite a bit of money. Her and the kids. So she would happily smile and chat with the crotch goblins. It never hurts to stay on the good side of those with money and power. Besides… Mercy was friends, or was it family, with Ryan who was her boss in both her part time job and her negaver’s escapades, technically… She still really only listened to Beni on that front.
“Well my hair is naturally white, my grandpa told me I got that from my mommy, but the color at the end,” She picked up a small hunk of hair and flicked the purplish-red ends towards the little boy, “That's just hair dye. I went and got color I thought would look neat and colored the ends. Kind of like when you color in a picture. What do you think? Do you like the color I picked?”

Lu reached out, “Wanna feel~” He nodded his head enthusiastically, trying to reach up towards the lady. Mercy looked at Shannon and shook her head. She did not want to let Lu near her hair, he will grab and tug in a heartbeat, something they were working on breaking him from but it would take some time. “Ah! There’s the Carters…” She rubbed her protruding stomach, turning the stroller to go into the store. “So, we found out we are having two girls, wanna help me pick out some outfits? I think I'm going to stop at the Children’s place too, then I have to go pick up a suit for Cass.” She rolled her eyes, “Another meeting for the winery I'm thinking…Also the winter semester should've started now that I'm thinking about it. After, dinner is on me and we can drop the boys off for some girl shopping as a thank you.” She also wanted to get Lily something for her baby girl as well.

Shannon caught the little shake of the head from Mercy so she just made a face at the little boy before tossing the hair behind her shoulder, “Nope. This hair color can rub out.” It couldn’t, “And I don’t want your fingers to turn purple.” They wouldn’t, but she didn’t know what else to say to dissuade the little boy from playing with her hair.
“Sure, that sounds fine with me.” She shrugged and eyed the children’s store. This was definitely going to test her patience but hey, better Mercy then her when it came to popping out the brats. There was only a very small way Shannon would ever be caught dead pregnant and it involved a hell of a lot of money. Even then it would be something she would need quite a bit of persuading for. Kids just weren’t her thing. “So how's everything? Bet you two are happy to have girls after your two little men here.” Twins… man, they were going to have a full house. At least they could afford the whole nonsense. So many people brought kids into the world and couldn’t afford to take care of them. She could barely take care of herself. No thank you.

Lu crossed his arms and pouted, looking just about as evil as he could be. Mercy rolled her eyes at her son, “Don't mind him.” Lu took after her in the attitude department while Al was closer to Cass in that aspect. “Full house is not the word for it. I'm glad we have two princesses to spoil but god damn I didn't think it would be this taxing to carry two at the same time.” She spotted two cute pink snap-ups that were just calling to her. These had cute little bumble bees on them and she did not have them in the clothing collection she had at home, “What do you think?” She held the snap-u for Shannon to see, thinking it was pretty simple, but cute.
The boys needed clothes as well but she would be going to Nike for them.

Shannon shrugged, “I mean, you are carrying two so I guess it wears on you after a while.” She really had no idea and had no intention of ever really knowing what it was like to have one let alone two. To just generally distract herself she started to poke through the racks of baby clothes. It was a lot. Like a disturbing amount. Why would anyone need this many types of outfits for babies? They didn’t do anything! At least the two little boys who were tagging along on this expedition actually did stuff but babies were just ‘there’. They didn’t really do anything other than making a mess. From eating to pooping and everything in between. Messes. Just tiny little mess makers.
She was pulled from her thoughts about how gross babies really were when Mercy held up a little outfit. “Cute. Very sweet looking. How about this one?” The woman pulled out this teal green footy pajama type thing that had all these lines on it to look like butterflies. It was actually quite adorable. If she could find a shirt in that pattern she might actually wear it. Definitely a summer design though. Maybe a summer dress. A flowy summer dress where the skirt is the pattern and the top was just white. Yes… yes that could be very nice looking.

Mercy had to pull Al out of the stroller while she looked around for clothes, Lu did not mind being pushed around in the stroller without his brother, looking at all the nice colors. “That is cute! If you could grab two that would be amazing~” She picked out some more outfits, juggling Al on her hip who for some odd reason, would not stop staring at Shannon, sunset colored eyes wide and slightly fearful. She didn't understand the fear part but then again the poor baby didn't want to be held by anyone other than her or Cass. She grabbed some hair bands, frowning in contemplation. Would they be born with hair like their brothers? She figured it wouldn't hurt, if anything they could take it back or she could give them to Lily for her little girl. Maybe Dessie would like them too?
She should get some things for Sarah and Mirabelle….
Al shifted and she sighed, “Baby you gotta stop moving….Kinda hard to hold you and shop with a full belly okay?” When the three year old would not be still, she placed him back in the stroller shaking her head when he started to pout. “Nope…You stay there and keep your brother company. I can't hold you and carry two babies at the same time.” She pointed to her stomach for clarity. At this point she was kind of tired….Is Cass off yet? Nope. Ugh. “Shannon, did you just want to go to lunch after this and we can hang at the house or go to Lily’s after I drop the boys off at their grandparents?”

Shannon started to dig for a duplicate outfit, maybe one in a different color, while Mercy went to fish the one grumpy brat out of his stroller. She chose to not see the small struggle between mother and son, because one would assume that Shannon should offer to take the kid off of Mercy’s hands but she didn’t want to do that. Instead she drifted a bit further away before letting out a little ‘aha’ sound as she pulled out a second baby thing that matched the first one she had found. As if that's what she had been so engrossed in that she missed the little squirming dilemma.
Noting the kid was back where he belonged, buckled into the stroller, Shannon returned to Mercy with both of the sleep outfits. “Sure. That works for me as well. I don’t have a job to do until tonight so I’ve got the time. Do you still want these?” At the pregnant woman’s nod they moved towards the registers, their afternoon plans changed but still worth it for Shannon. It was always worth having friends who had money. And honestly, anything that had the kids dropped off earlier was A-Okay in her book. “Let's go, the sooner we get there the sooner you can put your feet up.”
With that they headed out.
