Prompt 6 (Snowy Sneezes): Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this year. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews.
He had snuck into the back of the little café, sticking to the shadows and avoiding being spotted by the humans that were milling about the booth. It was a cute place so he couldn’t really fault the humans. Somehow they decorated it to look like you stepped right into a snowy forest, trees and all. There was fake snow everywhere too, he knew it was fake after trying to taste it… it didn’t taste good at all but it was fun to mess with. Mel was tempted to just play around with the snow but he wasn’t there for play… he was there for food.
Well, more like for a drink. He had been napping when he heard people chatting about the little popup place and about how good their chi hot chocolate thing was. Or maybe it was iced hot chocolate. Either way it sounded good. So there he was, hiding in the background, waiting for his chance. He had no idea how to even snag himself a cup of the coveted drink. He really wanted to try it! Mel figured he had a better chance of swiping one of the drinks as the café slowly emptied but he was surprisingly wrong when the lady who was running the whole thing turned right around and looked right at him in his shadowy hiding spot. “Shoo! Out, out cat!” The human flapped a tea cloth at him but he just looked at her until she rolled her eyes, stomped over to him, and physically removed him from her store by the scruff. He had just been tossed out like a piece of trash and he definitely didn’t appreciate it! He wasn’t even bothering anyone!
Mel meowed loudly over and over again once he was shoved back outside. He wanted a drink darn it! It had such rave reviews! Why couldn’t he have one too? The lady just opened the door and chucked a cup at him, drenching him with something even as the paper bounced off his head before coming to a stop a short distance away. Mel was sad, he wasn’t going to get a chance to try the drink and now he was covered in something. Bah! Disappointed and sad the guardian started to clean himself as best he could, absently noting the strange flavor of his impromptu shower water. His nose was starting to tickle too, like he had pepper up his nose or something. It itched! He really wished he could blow his nose but it was so much harder as a cat.
Achooooo!
A bunch of small snowflakes came shooting out of him like he just spit out snow. Strange! He continued to clean up his mess and sneezed again. More flakes. Interesting! He found it seriously curious and deliberately tried to sneeze again to see the flurries but he couldn’t sneeze even though his nose itched something fierce. But as he continued to clean his fur several eruptions occurred one after another, sending a veritable blizzard of snow shooting out into the alleyway around him. COOL! He was going to have fun with this!
