Ariya 1
Since Ujana had returned home for however long she had sent for her children, wanting them to spend time with their other mother while they could. As much as she would love to keep the leaf woman all to herself she recognized that the kids needed her just as much. Some more than others.

The letter had gotten to her rather quickly since the young alk was still close to home. She’d learned her lesson about leaving without telling anymore and even when she did go somewhere it was only down to Tale to see her brother and then back. Any farther and she had to answer a million questions.

She was waiting outside their home, allowing Ujana to rest while she could. Ariya knew that traveling was tiresome. Heck, for her just thinking about it wore her out. So she figured that while she was waiting on the kids to show up she could sit out in the fresh air and give her wife some quiet.

As she continued to walk she saw her childhood home in the distance - not that it was hard to see. They lived on the outskirts of town so they had plenty of room to train in the mornings without bothering any neighbors. When she spotted her mother outside she instantly looked around for the other. Once she realized she was absent a frown formed. Subira knew she hadn’t been late.

When she looked up she noticed that the first of her children was on their way in. Of course it would be the oldest that showed up first. Then again it was likely good she was one of the first to make an appearance since they would have instantly thought she took off again. And that would have sent Ujana into a rant if not out the door after her.

Once she was close enough she lifted her hand and waved. “Hello.” The alk called out to her mother. “Am I early?” Since she didn’t see her other siblings she figured she was the first one to respond to the letter that had been sent out. Of course she did want to see Ujana. It had been a while and she wanted to catch up with her. Ask her questions about her travel.

She returned the wave then nodded her head. “First to arrive. Good girl.” She laughed at her daughter. “Ujana is sleeping still so we’ll wait for the others to show up before we go wake her.” While she knew Eurig couldn’t pop in at a moments notice, which she was still upset about, she did expect Ujiri to be able to come. Maybe Ika as well.

“Do you think Eurig will make a trip up?” Even if her little brother couldn’t be here right away he still might show up in a few days to spend time with the family. It would be nice. While she loved spending time with the twins she missed the leaf brother she’d been gifted as a kid.

“Hard to tell. You know your brother is busy sometimes.” Ariya didn’t always understand Eurig’s choice to stay in Tale but she supported him. And she also knew he did a few odd jobs here and there thanks to letters and Subira’s last visit there. “If he does, he does. If not.. It’ll be fine.

She gave a hum at that. Maybe she could go to Tale and come back with her earthling brother in tow. It might be a nice surprise for Ujana. “Well hopefully he at least sends a letter back.” Just hearing from him to acknowledge that their mom was back from her travels for a short time would be nice.

“That would be nice.” Hearing from the children was always nice and she imagined Ujana would like to know each of the kids is doing alright. “Have you heard anything from the twins?” She asked. Her thought was that perhaps Ujiri or Ika had told their sister something that they hadn’t shared with her. After all, she was mom, not a sibling they could confide in.

“Ah.. not really.” While she;d made efforts to repair the damage she’d done to her relationships with the twins they hadn’t really become besties over night. They didn’t outright ignore her anymore but she could tell they were still hurt by what she’d done. “I know Ika has been training. Ujiri just.. I’m not really sure what he does.” Her little brother was special as far as what he chose to do simply because she was sure it was led by his emotions.

She snorted and laughed. “Yeah, Ujiri seems to like wasting his time in the jungle.” And yet the boy was still able to make enough coin to support himself. So he must be doing something right. Not that she knew what it was yet. “I’m glad Ika takes after Ujana as far as training goes.” While Ariya did it she was mostly lazy in what she did. Not until things were serious did she put real effort into her movements.

“She’d have been fine if she took after you too.” She was aware of the difference between her two mothers but to her it was what made them both special. Neither was better than the other they just had their own good points. “Besides, you do train.” She’d seen her alk mother doing training a few times on her own.

She ignored the comments as she knew they were compliments meant to make her feel better. Of course in her eyes all of their children would have turned out fine no matter which parent they took after because they had taught them all they could about surviving. It was something that both women had stressed. They would all know how to defend themselves should the need arise.
