Above all else, worship is given to the gods/goddesses of ice, cold and winter storms.
Ice spirits and helpers are revered second and offered gifts to remain in their favor.
Fire is the enemy. Warmth can be obtained in other ways that does not desecrate or slander the chilling blessings that is all things ice or frozen. Natural warming of the lands is not to be despised but seen as a precursor to the chill of winter that resets all life. Fire may be only utilized in the sense that it is a tool to sustain aspects of life such as cooking food, and even then that is held in low respects. Light sources when all possible are preferred to be from magical sources, rather than torches etc.
Nothing is to be wasted and thanks must be given to the spirits and gods of ice for every successful hunt or gather. That means that all meat is made use of, all bones find their purpose and all pelts, leather and sinew is turned into something that can benefit the herd, even if it is in the smallest of places.
New members will be on a trial period, assigned a 'Guardian' and watched closely to prove they will bring only benefits to the herd, not loss.
