Holland really didn't understand why he was nervous, but here he was, holding Yuki’s hand while his other was paused on the door to his workplace. He made the oopsie of telling his best friend that he was officially off the market now, which she was fine with but then came the text of “OMG YOU BETTER BRING HIM TO THE CAFE OR I'LL KILL YOU” and so, here he was. Swallowing, Holland pushed the door open, barely stepping inside before he was suddenly enveloped, face meet boobs. “Awweeee Holland!!!” Daisy blinked when she saw that her best friends hand was holding a tanned one that was attached to…Oh my. Her gaze went up till she met rainbow hued shades. She let go of Holland who deadpanned, hand out. “You must be Yuki~ Hello I am Daisy. It's nice to meet you.” She smiled, ruffling Holland’s hair, laughing at the glare and near visible shiver.

“Here come inside. I'm off the clock, boss is running the cafe and training some newbies. Why don't you two sit for a bit?”

Despite his calm, cool and collected exterior, Yukio was a bundle of nerves. He'd heard so much about Daisy – exuberant, protective of Holland, brusque, protective of Holland, a force of nature, protective of Holland – that he was rather nervous to actually meet her. Honestly, he didn't know how much of what Hol had told him was fact or exaggeration; if there was one thing he'd learned about his now-boyfriend, it was that he was a tad excitable. So it was with some trepidation that he accompanied Holland to meet someone who was effectively his sister from another mister.

Holland opened the door to the cafe, and before either of them could say anything, a woman swooped in, grabbing the small pink-fringed man and smooshing him into her ample bosom. Yukio could only assume this was Daisy. So far, she was living up to Hol's description of her. And when she ruffled Holland's hair, he barely held in a small chuckle.

"Hi, yeah, I'm Yukio," he replied, taking her offered hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I've heard so much, you're practically a legend." His expression was classic Yukio flat and emotionless, but there was warmth and honest delight in his voice.

Daisy held in her laugh at the legend part, sitting down at a chosen table in the corner. Much better for privacy. The moment the two sat down, Daisy could not help herself, “,It's true isn't it?” Eyebrow raised and head tilted, lavender eyes cut to Yuki. “You are the DJ Holland used to gush about all the time right?” Holland's eyes instantly widened, “D-Daisy shut up! You said you wouldn't aaaaask!” It's not like he told her or anything, Daisy listened to some of his recordings that he had from when he went out to parties and what not. There was also the fan discord that he used to lurk in, she saw that too. “I said no such think pinky, don't put words in my mouth.” The small man pinched his nose. She hasn't called him pinky in the longest time, not since 4th grade.

He knew his bestie, he loved his bestie, but got damn sometimes she was infuriating.

“Anyways, it's okay you don't have to confirm or anything. I will say you do have quite the talent for music.” She could see Holland relax a little, that's when she decided to get serious, “Now you seem like a genuine person, and have a good aura about you…However, best friends we may be, Holland is someone very special to me and I don't want to see him hurt.” It wasn't like this was her first rodeo, Holland has had lovers, girlfriends, and boyfriends in the past. But she also knew Holland could be impulsive… “Why are you dating Holland?” She was deadly serious at this point, lavender eyes looking at the tall man without hesitation.

----

"Yeah, it's true, I'm Buster," Yukio said with the faintest of smiles at the pinky nickname. "I DJ around town pretty regularly. Guess I have something of a fan following." He shrugged at that, trying not to shudder at the fanpoodle contingent of his following. He knew about the Discord, even though he hadn't looked at it (and frankly didn't want to). "Thank you for the compliment about my music. I'll have to give you a backstage pass for one of my shows, if you're interested, y'know into dance music. Least I can do for Hol's best friend."

Sliding his shades down his nose, his golden-yellow eyes met Daisy's lavender ones with as direct a gaze as she was giving him. "I'm glad you think I'm genuine, Daisy. Because I am, or at least try to be. I dont' want to see Holland hurt either. Like you, he's very special to me. It's hard to explain what he is in my life, besides boyfriend, lover, partner." This was the first time Yukio had said it out loud to anyone except Holland, and it felt both tingly and liberating. He didn't care really if it embarrassed Hol any; he also didn't care that he was talking around the other man like he wasn't there. He'd make it up to him later.

"As to why I'm dating him… It's because I love him." It was also the first time he'd said that to anyone who wasn't Holland – even his parents didn't know yet. "He has fit into my life so perfectly, it's almost like he's always been there. I don't want to lose that. Did he tell you I wrote a song for him? Well, a mix. Music is my love language, always has been. I don't create music for just anyone."

Daisy was a bit impressed.

Not only was he honest, but he actually met her stare head on without hesitation, a good sign in her book. “I would not turn down backstage passes! Thank you~” also how humble did you have to be to think of the following you had as small? Daisy kept this thought to herself having seen the rabid fangirls that ran the Discord Holland used to frequent. Her brow did raise when Yuki admitted to loving her best friend, understanding some of the things he has told her about him over the phone. She leaned in some, still studying Yuki, “Your eyes are very intense, but pretty…” Holland was deep in his embarrassment when he heard Daisy's comment, eyes widening. Oh no…Nonono don't say it. “It's no wonder Holland said that stare you do just makes him want to do things.” The slap of Holland's red face meeting his hands was all it took to make Daisy laugh.

“But I have a feeling you were aware of that Mr Yukio.”

How could he not be? If he wasn't taken by Holland she might have fallen for that too. Leaning back again, Daisy smiled, “Thank you Yukio. I would love to hear the song you made for Holland sometime.” She looked between the two, noting that Holland was in fact still holding Yuki’s hand. Ah! So cute! Now she had other things to ask that she figured would not get answered, “So….Who's topping?” Holland removed his hand from his face, “D-Daisy really!?” “Oh come on Holly, you knew I was going to ask.” Of course she could guess the answer, her friend was consistent if anything. “Lemme guess…….Holland is taking the lead here right?” She did notice the way her best friend stiffened with a nervous smile. Was she wrong then? Holland cleared his throat with a sigh, looking at Yuki. “You…You can tell her….” it's not like she was asking for everything in detail. Besides, Yuki had his poker face, Holland did not.

Yukio gave Daisy an almost-smile. "Thank you," he nodded, not breaking eye contact with her. "I've heard I sometimes have an effect on people." He gave Holland's hand a gentle squeeze. "Especially our Holland here. I'd be more than happy to share the song I wrote him with you – it's only fitting his best friend should hear it."

Daisy's next question, however, gave him a slight pause, enough for one eyebrow to go up. Yeah, blunt and forthright were being added to the list of descriptors for this girl. He glanced at Holland for guidance, and when his boyfriend gave him the go-ahead, he looked back at Daisy with his best expressionless look, eyes once more meeting her gaze. "You guessed right. We kind of trade off sometimes, but he usually leads." Giving another hand-squeeze to Holland, he sighed softly. "I've, um, only been out, as it were, aware of myself more fully, for a short while. I have a lot yet to learn, and Holland is a wonderful teacher. And yes, the sex is fantastic," he added with a small smirk.

"To be honest, I never in a million years imagined it could be like this. I've been hurt badly in the past, so I was having my doubts about ever having a relationship like the one I have with Holland. I would rather die than hurt him like that. He means too much to me." Yukio gave a small, gentle snort-laugh. "He means the absolute world to me."

Awwwwwe he said “our Holland!” ugh, Daisy was just going to die from the cuteness.

The eyebrow raise didn't phase her, she just waited patiently, noting the amazing poker face Yuki had going on there. Daisy couldn't help but giggle at what was just said, not even bothering to explain what she actually meant. Instead she was simply happy that her bestie finally found someone he would hopefully spend the rest of his life with. She kept the comment about sex to herself, that would open up a can of worms and that was something she was sure Holland would want to explain himself should the need arise.

Holland did turn beat red at Yuki’s comment on sex, as well as his confession, which only made the smaller man scoot closer so he could lay his head on his arm. “Satisfied miss nosey? Did he pass the test?” Daisy laughed and nodded, “Yes, yes I did. To think that lil Holland found his soulmate before I did. No fair!” She made a mock look of hurt but really she was so happy for him. Holland blinked rapidly, “S-Soul mate?!” How did she come to that conclusion? Sure he couldn't see himself with anyone other than Yuki and constantly just wanted to be around him….Well s**t. He WAS the center of his universe and the thought of being without him hurt greatly. But that wasn't a sign of soulmates right? Those don't exist. “Maybe we should order? I'm kinda hungry…” Daisy smiled and nodded, “Sounds good to me. Yukio, it was such a pleasure meeting you. Take care of my lil Holland alright?” She pulled up the cafe menu, figuring out what she wanted for her selection.

"I'll take the best care of him." Yukio felt Holland rest his head on the DJ's arm, and he in turn rested his head on Holland's brown curls and sighed happily. This was like meeting the family, except way more intense; Daisy was Hol's family of choice, his sister from another mister, a force of nature in her own right. He'd had no idea they'd known each other since age 4 – no wonder Daisy was so protective of him!

And the soulmate comment… That struck a chord in Yukio. He really didn't think soulmates existed, but how else could he explain the feelings he had for Holland? Love at first sight didn't exist either, but that apparently was what happened between them, on that day of the accidental kiss. Maybe soulmates did exist. Maybe he and Holland were really destined to be together. Another song started in the DJ's mind, Revive[ by LIONE – something about the song really resonated for some reason in this moment. In the end, I know we'll meet again... It did feel like he'd known Holland all his life, or in a previous life or something. Yukio didn't really believe in reincarnation… at least until now. He'd have to remix that song, adding in his own touches, maybe with Holland present…

"I know what I'd like to have," he said finally, not bothering to look at the menu. "Hot tea and bibimbap."
