Doesina 1

It felt so great to be back home, in the mist-heavy air she was more used to. Doesina had spent so long in Jauhar, she was almost afraid she'd become too accustomed to that sort of dry air to the point that returning to Yael would result in her finding it harder to breath. Not so. It was just as easy as before. Better, even. She felt ever the more refreshed, as if her body had been deprived of oxygen for a long, long time. But aside from that, there was another feeling. One of wholeness. Like a missing piece of her had snapped back into place upon stepping foot on the shore.

The great tree towered over her even from this distance, the branches reaching up to the sky. Elzira looked ever the more beautiful for the great distance that had been between them for far too long, the Elaria gazing at Her with a large smile on her face. It was a pity she couldn't show Sini. Not unless the hybrid was praying for blooms with an Aishan partner. The thought bringing an odd flutter to her chest that she quickly ignored. For the time being.

Looking around, Doesina wondered if anyone else would recognize her after so long. She had been a teenager when she'd left, let loose into the world reluctantly by her grandmother and mother. She'd given them no chance to tell her no, to talk her out of a potentially dangerous adventure for someone so young and naive as she was. Now she was back with her goal in tow, much less naive than before, but still feeling the same. Had her cousin been here to see Elzira, too? Heike had never seemed all that interested in the other Trees. A strange thing for an Aishan to be so near to them and not desire to see them. Doesina would have liked to have seen Aisha, though had been expecting to be denied straight away, so didn't even bother.

How would Heike feel if Doesina shared a wish to follow her to see Esena?

The usual morning exercises that had been requested of Aselia to complete, were as usual; hard, grueling, and tiresome. Though she had to admit it was helping with her recovery. While her arm was getting better, it still frustrated and irritated her to no end that it wasn't already able to do the tasks she once never even gave thought to. Like wiping away sweat from her forehead with her shoulder. Now she had to take it slower while assisting with blooms and infants. Limitations that only seemed to be growing on her as time wore on.

Taking a morning strole within the bounds of the tree, Aselia stopped as her eyes fell upon a familiar figure. It took her some time to search her memory before she could recall the young female before her. Dosina, if she remembered correctly, daughter of Chrysa. A half smirk on her face, that had been a handful for a young girl. From what she could recall. Though it was hard to think through the fog in her mind. She couldn't

"It has been quite some time, young Doesina. What brought you all the way back home so soon? I had figured you would have been away for quite some time yet?"

Aselia had visibly changed in the time the younger Elarian was gone. From the battle scars on her shoulder, to the 'v' shaped notch in her ear. Even the way she carried herself was less, antagonistic than it had in years past. Time had not been what had mellowed the Extremist. Instead, a rather unforgettable reminder had found it's way back into the front of her mind. The calmer expression on Aselia was meant to be far more inviting than it probably was.

Rubbing her shoulder the Alkidike walked forward to greet the returning daughter of Elzira. "You have family that will surely be happy to see you."

Doesina 2

To her delight, it seemed someone had after all! Though, even enough time, Doesina was sure someone would have recognized her. She didn't think she had changed that much in her time away, other than in the obvious changes of perhaps looking a bit more grown up. More filled out in more ways than one. She even felt more confident in herself after her experiences on Jauhar, which she didn't think would even be possible. Even on Yael, she had been stubborn about talking to the local Earthlings, always sneaking away during her explorations to see those she had struck friendships with in her younger years. Thankfully they weren't all superstitious.

"Mystic!" the Elaria greeted with much enthusiasm, whirling around to face the other woman, a giant grin on her face. She would have embraced the Alkidike had the invitation ever been present. "Soon? I feel like I've been gone half my life. I left to find my distant cousin and have brought her here," she added quickly, forgetting to give others a chance to respond in her excitement at seeing a familiar face, as well as being back in the presence of Elzira. "I have seen my mother already and introduced my cousin to our grandmother. I assume she is still there." And also, in her excitement, she had failed to notice a few other changes since she had left. Changes she now focused on.

"Oh, but, Aselia. What has happened to you?" Doesina's eyes traveled along the other woman, from her shoulder to the notch in her ear, the smile having vanished and replaced with concern. "You look like you've been through something."

Being addressed so enthusiastically Aselia smiled warmly. It wasn't often someone was this happy to see her. Lowering her guard the Alkidike woman took a few steps closer, happy to hear the abundant energy from Doesina. Chuckling at the enthusiasm, Aselia nodded along as the girl spoke. Catching onto the mention of a cousin she brought here. That was surprising, she didn't think Doesina would be the type to find someone she would want to bring around her mother tree. Not that Aselia could have room to say anything really. It wasn't up to her who the great tree chose to grant blooms too.

Another step towards Doesina and Aselia found herself offering to give the girl a soft embrace. "It is pleasing to see that you've brought someone back to the tree with you. Tell me her name, I do assume it's a her."

The questions on her appearance were met with a low groan. Her body flinching back a bit at the reminder. Her fists clenching indignantly against the question. She knew the girl meant well, and she couldn't fault her for asking. It wasn't like she was going out of her way to hide it from her either. Rubbing deep circles in the back of her own neck Aselia tilted her head to the side. "I've had an unfortunate run in with a couple of Hybrid Alkidike's. It didn't end well, I've lost Popoie and still failed to exterminate them. Elzira and Aisha seemed to have had some say in my actions of late. I've been reminded about the importance of hybrids towards my own existence." She was somewhat loath to admit her extremist actions in the past were a source of controversy in the growing world she now found herself Exiled to.

"Never mind about me." She waved her hand. "Tell me more of your travels I want to hear what you have seen."

Doesina 3

Doesina almost couldn't contain her excitement at the offer of a hug. Aselia was one of the last Sisters she'd ever expect to receive, or especially have offered, such affections. But she wasn't one to complain about what surprises life threw at you. So she returned it with as much enthusiasm as she gave to everything she did. It made her even more want to seek out all the other Sisters she had missed since returning, to spread this kind of love around more.

"She's not very interested in seeing Elzira," she answered, stepping back with an even brighter smile on her face than before. This was a different Aselia than she remembered before she'd left and she was all here for the change. "She didn't go see Aisha, either. Her name is Heike. She came from Esena. Knowing her, she's out in the wilderness or training with grandma." All Heike ever did was train, even during their times together in Jauhar. All her efforts were showing in the muscles that lined every part of her body, but it seemed awful boring to Doesina. Who wanted to do nothing but swing a spear around all day? You needed hobbies.

The word exterminate brought a wince to the Elaria's features. That was one of the disadvantages of growing up around Elzira. Even though her mother had taken her out of there, to live in Rens, it was still difficult to escape all the more extreme believes so many of her fellow Sisters had. Views she didn't share and couldn't quite understand. Sometimes she caught herself feeling bad for taking Sini along. Heike was one thing to deal with, but being around so many Elaria who might not have changed their stance about a hybrid made her feel so anxious. Not that she was hiding the fact she had not just brought her Elidae cousin with her from Juahar, but she wasn't really flaunting it around, either.

"I am sorry to bring up bad memories, Aselia. I was concerned. That is good to hear, though, that you are trying to change your opinions about hybrids?" If she did hear that correctly. If only more would follow this example, how much more stress-free the world could be. "But you've lived in Juahar, didn't you? What more could I say about it? I spent some time in Ast while Heike went to Emeka alone. I learned a lot about the Shifters who live there."

"Oh." Aselia felt suddenly embarrassed at her assumptions. Having assumed that the sister was bringing someone back to the tree to plead for offspring. Searching the girls face as she stepped back from the hug. Wrapping her arms around herself in place of the now missing affection. She had been acting tough for so long that she had forgotten what it was like to actually feel welcoming feelings from someone else.

Esena? Oh yes, she had heard there were other trees now blooming and growing away from Aisha and Elzira. She herself wasn't able to see them, as her duties belonged here now. For how much longer she didn't know. A sinking feeling of loss and regret flushed through her. And the Mystic had to fight back tears at the feelings of missing Aisha and Eshe. Regretting her fight with the elder mystic and her older sister Kadyire.

Shaking her head in an attempt to regain some composure, Aselia did her best to force a smile back on her face. Not that it did much for her. "It's because of a hybrid that I am alive, that I can even breath." She ran her fingers along one of her markings thoughtfully.

"It's been a long time since I've seen Aisha and Jauhar. My actions have led me here were. Banished away from Aisha. There must have been changes that have occurred since then." Her heart ached, feeling heavy in her chest.

They had likely found another Mystic to replace her, leaving her just a mere bad memory on their legacy.

Doesina 4

None the wiser at the other's embarrassment, Doesina continued to grin, clearly enjoying the interaction. More so after hearing more. Why there was any kind of bitterness towards what most Elaria seemed to deem the "lesser beings" made no sense to her. Just like her Sisters all came in all shapes and personalities, so did the Earthlings. Why shouldn't it be a wonderful think to live beside them? They could all learn so much about each other. Had it not also been for a hybrid, she herself might not have made it out of Jauhar, as sick as she had been that one time. So weak, she could barely walk halfway from camp to Neued. Certainly could never have gone the rest of the way, leaving herself exposed as the perfect prey for the predators that roamed between the tall trees.

But, just as before, she kept all that information to herself. Maybe she had been around Heike far too long. Being open about her love of Earthlings and the Aishan hybrids who choose to follow other paths had never gone over well with her cousin.

"That's good. Not that you got hurt, of course," she added quickly, smiling sheepishly at her mouth saying words before her brain had a chance to correct herself. Not a surprise there. "Or that you lost Popoie. I don't know what I'd do if I'd returned to find Arie no longer here." She'd dearly missed her Quristine. The next time she decided to leave on a trip, she was taking him with her. He was never getting out of her sight, again. She had been too nervous about going to a land she had never been to to take him the last time. If something happened to him, it would have been her fault for taking him, not keeping him here where he would be cared for by her mother. "If only more Sisters could learn they're not that different from us."

"I wouldn't know what to tell you, I'm afraid. I never met great-grandma to compare what I saw. I stayed around Neued, Ast, or the forest, mostly. If you see Heike, maybe she'd share more. She went to Emeka and stayed with some Alkidike." Idling playing with a dread, Doesina sighed. "If she's in a good mood that day. She doesn't really, um....Get along with others too well."

The mystic grunted in her usual fashion. A frown looking out across her features she looked away for a moment absently scanning her surroundings. "It's actually something I've been asking sisters to help me with. In all of Aisha's blessings, I am seeking another companion. Something like the Kinfa, something that could fly but still be able to carry me with it. I feel this is the only way I can truly see the rest of this small island."

Aselia's focus re shifted again. While Doesina was making proper points, she still struggled with the differences of the races around Tendaji. She herself was one to fiercely defend and protect the sacred lands around the mother tree. Especially as the tree grew, more sacred land would be needed. Many of the other races did seem to be understanding towards the sacredness of the great trees. There were however many who would stand their ground and refuse to move in light of these events.

A territorial war.

She turned her gaze back to Doesina as she spoke. Giving soft nods of encouragment to let the sister know she was still listening. "I doubt I will meet this Heike unless she makes a trip here." Aselia spoke softly.
