[ Zayana 1 ]
Word had come in that her aunt had arrived in the budding town across the waters, and Zayana found herself rushing to drag her mother across to see her. It took some time to figure out the best way to make it happen, and Zayana eventually just used honesty as the strategy.
"She's here to see you, mother. She wants to heal. You want to heal. We're all different people now. It's time to let it go and mend bridges."
Eventually, Lumikani agreed, and Zayana found a boat to quickly cross. She herself had gone on such a journey with her daughter, and realized eventually it's up to the daughters to give back to their mothers and lead the way to the new world. It's a cycle, and it was her role to help her mother heal.
It helped that Nayyara insisted on tagging along, frustrated to have missed meeting her great aunt during the trip. Plus, Lumikani always had a soft spot for her grandchildren.
The village was small, and Zayana was surprised how it had grown since hybrids were welcomed by the tree. This was probably the best place to meet with an outsider, and she was nervous as she glanced about, but curious to see the flash of hybrids that were slowly beginning to fill the lands.

[ Nayyara 1 ]
The Elidae was practically vibrating, her eyes bright as she looked around the growing village. This is what she dreamed about as she explored Tendaji, and she hoped she might be able to visit more in the future and help train the next generation of sisters, especially the hybrids. She loved what they represented, a future of peace and prosperity. Each time one would look curiously at the trio, she would wink and wiggle her fingers in greeting, a smile on her face.
Turning back toward her mother and grandmother, she did as promised and kept a little to the side, ready to step away as needed if it would help her grandmother be more comfortable. But for now, she stepped forward and took Lumikani's hand, squeezing it once in support.

[ Lumikani 1 ]
She wasn't one to be self-deprecating anymore, no instead Lumikani had become a bit of an old hermit. Her eyes were slowly becoming milky, her hair getting a dusty tinge of grey. She was aging gracefully, as graceful as one might with the dark warpaint smudged across her face and arms.
She attempted to clean it up, but realized it had become a bit of an armor, and thus kept it in despite the complaints of her family. This was who she was now, and it was important that Elsheba saw that. If they wanted to reconnect, it needed to be with who they were today, and not the children they were ages ago.

(1/7)
It had been a long trip, but finally Elsheba was in the right side of the world to see Lumikani. At first, going to the wrong settlement first had been a horrifying, embarrassing mistake - but that mistake had led to her reunion with Nimueh, and now ... now they both had a chance to meet Lumikani again, and hopefully mend some broken bridges.
She'd been surprised when Nimueh contacted her and said he wanted to join her; and a little nervous, if she was honest. But her son had seemed worried to seek her out on his own, and after leaving him on his own for a lifetime ... Elsheba was going to support him, as best she could.
Thank the goddess for Zayana. Her invitation, and eagerness to help, made all of this a lot less stressful; as soon as Elsheba got to town, she sent word to her niece, and now she and Nimueh could just... wait for the family to arrive.
"It shouldn't be much longer." Elsheba said, distractedly, more to ease Nimueh's tension than her own.

(1/7) This was perhaps one of the last places Nimueh ever expected to find himself, and yet... he was the one who'd asked to be here. He stood, taking in the bustling little town with interest, arms crossed defensively across his chest. He felt strangely naked, to be without Callum by his side... but he'd come here on his own. It had been a long, long time since he'd traveled on his own... so he'd instead invited himself along with Elsheba's pilgrimage.
The opportunity to reconnect was a welcome one, if stressful. And this was the culmination of that trip. Lumikani. Nimueh was expecting hostile stares and sneers out of a village founded by descendants of extremists ... but... it would seem, the tides had changed. There were hybrids here, besides himself. That was good, right?
He exhaled and shook his head at Elsheba's repeated reminder, opening his mouth to reply - only to stiffen when he saw her, at a distance. Hard to recognize, beneath the warpaint, but it was difficult to forget someone you'd spent so much of your childhood with. "They're here." He said to Elsheba, turning to properly face the arriving party. There were three - Lumikani, the Elaria who he assumed was Elsheba's niece (his cousin), and ... presumably one of Lumikani's grand daughters, since she was an Elidae. He tried to smile, but due to the tension it probably came out as more of a grimace.

[ Zayana 2 ]
After taking a long few moments to examine the area, she caught sight of the tall Alkidike woman who stood out. There weren't many left, considering mostly Elaria and now Elidae were settled, but a few existed. Enough to take a moment to ensure she saw the right woman. That and Elsheba had some sort of hybrid next to her.
That was interesting.
"Over there." She said simply, taking point to direct the group to approach with a low wave to try and get Elsheba's attention.

When her grandmother didn't squeeze back, Nayyara showed no disappointment. Instead, she let the hand drop and looked forward with eagerness, uncertain who she was looking for but hopeful this entire interaction would be pleasant. At her mother's statement, she looked in the direction and let out a little 'eep' at the sight of not only an Alkdike who must have been her grand-aunt, but also a tall hybrid with deep blue skin.
Keeping her lips tightly shut, she sniffed a moment before glancing to her grandmother, loosening her hand slightly to allow her to pull out if needed.
