Prompt 12 (Cold Blooded): Pearly white snow is a common sight in Destiny City, so seeing, ivory lumps around the city really isn’t so strange. Until they move. The ones the size of an iguana, or the mountains of small, gecko-like lizards that travel together, probably aren’t that intimidating. The ones the size of a komodo dragon? Those are scary. Though they range in size, they have a few things in common: sharp nails that let them climb up nearly any surface, sharp teeth that feel like being gnawed on by icicles, and scales so cold that it feels like being freezer-burned. All lizards seem to like sleeping in the snow, but the larger they are, the more solitary they travel. It isn’t uncommon to see one very large lizard, a handful of iguana-sized lizards, or two or three dozens (or more!) smaller lizards in a single grouping. They seem to mind their own business unless they are hungry, or if you get too close. It’s just, it’s hard to avoid them when they look just like snow--or when they fall out of trees on top of you? These lizards love the snow, and they love chewing on people, too. Whether it’s out of hunger or agitation, if you make the mistake of getting too close to one, they will attack–even if unprovoked. They’re fast. They’re vicious. They have a strange habit of disappearing mid battle with a camouflage you just cannot detect. It’s impossible to kill or capture one, and strangely enough there doesn’t seem to be any reports of these lizards anywhere. They seem like ordinary lizards, just very cold blooded. They don’t have an aura or seem to be magical, but something just isn’t adding up here, anyway. Note: The lizard is not a youma but can be used as a battle requirement for a character. It can only be used as a battle if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered to meet battle requirements. You can use the prompt for as many characters as you like and it will count as a battle requirement, however if you repeat the prompt with the same character, only the first time will be usable as a battle.
The problem with snow in Destiny City was it hid the strangest critters. Sodalite gave the stare down to whatever it was that had fallen out of the tree without warning and thus him. He had been minding his own business, thank you very much, and now all of a sudden whatever he was looking at seemed to take some sort of offense to his general presence in the area. Already swinging out at the creature with his weapon had done more harm than good as even as he had sent the orginal culprit flying had it seemingly called in for more reinforcements. The god-awful hissing noise that all of them seemed intent on making almost had the lieutenant wishing he could cover his ears.
But if he did that then his weapon would not be as useful. No, instead he stood his ground and scuffed snow up towards the lizards in what might have been an attempt to blind his presence to them, or maybe it was an attempt to confuse them ... but whatever it had been ... it wasn't working.
"Now tell me again why I wanted to investigate these holiday shenanigans again?"

Triplite had been out and about and totally NOT draining any drunkard she came across into unconsciousness when she had noticed that the snow had been moving. She thought she had been seeing things at first, but then they started to take shapes once shadows could be seen. Lizards. A lot of lizards. Snow lizards but still, not something that she had wanted to run into.
She had tried to shoo them away at first but there seemed to be more and more of them that came along. And then when the bigger ones, the size of komodo dragons started to appear? Well she managed to get a kick at one, but only managed to send it a few feet before it flopped into the snow and seemed to come out unharmed.
So she had been running for a while now, attempting to get away from the snow-reptiles when suddenly she slid on a patch of ice and slid quite a ways, finding herself in a small snowbank. When she was able to get herself out of it, she could see a Lieutenant that also seemed to be having trouble with the snowzards. "Don't you guys have a weapon or something?" She asked, slowly getting up to make sure she hadn't hurt anything, before kicking a few of the things that had started to climb on her feet off of her. Sure, she could have asked more nicely, but they were both dealing with these stupid things, there wasn't much time for introductions!
The feel of another chaos-aligned individual had Sodalite's gaze sweeping the area before a senshi (not unlike those that fell under Prehnite's leadership) skidded into the area. He took in the garb before hearing the question that was asked of him before merely sighing before he brought his weapon back into view. It probably was easier to at least kick out at the smaller lizards that were still in the area than it was to continuously bend over to swipe at the creatures with his version of a weapon.
"I have one, but in this scenario it's not working the greatest on the smaller ones and if they either climb on me or fall on me I figure it is just easier to pluck them off with my hands. Easier to do that then constantly bash myself with my own weapon."
Sodalite eyed the larger lizard specimen that was seemingly content to not engage at the moment before he sighed. He almost thought it was a smart move as the smaller lizards could wear down an enemy before the larger one took over. He brought his weapon overhead before swinging it down to try and smack away a smaller lizard only for it to dart backwards out of his current reach.
"They are faster than they look so I figured at least just kicking snow at them might distract them enough that I could get out of the area without being chased," he groaned before noticing more eyes turning to face him, "guess that's out of the picture now."
He had not really had time to experience the craziness that went down every so often in the city but there had been stories told by Prehnite's group of the abnormalities that befell Destiny City around various times of the year and he had not really put much stock into everything, until now. He turned to the senshi that had burst into the area before gripping his weapon even tighter, "think you can deal with either the smaller ones or the bigger one hanging out near the back? Whatever you choose, I'll take the other target."

Triplite let out a very gutteral growl. Not at the Agent but at the situation and the lizards. Really just the lizards and could THEY JUST STOP?! "Yeah I can take the smaller ones. If we can at least get them lined up, I should be able to take them out with one of my attacks by stomping on them." At least she thought it would work. Hers was basically a super-charged charge attack. Perhaps she could both knock them out of the way and stomp on them at the same time?
"Maybe if you get the attention of the bigger one, it might make the others move towards you, then I can take them all out at once." She said as she took a step back just to see if the smaller ones would follow. They did and looking behind her didn't seem to find any that were coming from all directions.
Of course the second she moved her eyes away from the snow, they could immediately form and then start making their way towards her. Who knew with this kind of craziness! "If that doesn't work I'm going to be doing a lot of stomping!" She said, bringing one of her boots down on a few that had dared get within distance of her foot.
Sodalite narrowed his gaze at the gathering throng of reptiles before giving the simplest of shrugs. The toy, which was an effective weapon, even in this form, hung loosely from his grip before he hastily moved to the side. The intention was to draw the attention of the smaller lizards away from this senshi so that she could do whatever magical attack she needed to do in order to take out the smaller, but still dangerous, lizards while he focused his attacks to the larger specimen.
All in all it felt like a plan that should work in their favor being that they'd split the forces up between the two of them, but something still bothered the lieutenant. Chalking the sensation that even more eyes were watching from somewhere Sodalite began to draw the attention of the smaller foes by actually deciding to use his weapon as its intended function as a kids toy. Perhaps he'd even be lucky enough to fling one or two critters back if they got too close, too curious.
The skip-it certainly didn't travel well over the snow-covered ground but as a distraction technique, it was working wonders. Dozens of beady little eyes were all locked on him and he raised a hand to signal to this unknown senshi to do what she needed to do. As soon as her magic was loosed he'd make his way towards what appeared to be the harder foe.

Triplite grinned as the Agent managed to gather, what she hoped, was all of the small snowzards all in one place. "All right, I would get out of the way if I were you! Triceratops Tackle!" She said as she raised her arms and moved her fingers making them look like she was making horns with her hands.
She moved her upper body lower and running at great speed and stomping on hopefully most if not all of the small lizards in the way with her boots. She only just managed to stop at the end, moving her boots so that she slid at an angle on the ice when she got to it and this time managing to not fall over. She looked over at the Agent. "How was that?" She asked, taking a look to see what other lizards there were besides the big one.

Triceratops Tackle Sailor Triceratops uses both her hands to make what looks like three horns on her head, and then runs to her opponent. She is even speedier, and if she hits her opponent then they are knocked down. Can only be used for 10 feet, 3 uses. She can turn, but not sharply.
It was always interesting to watch senshi work their magic. As this one called her attack Sodalite stepped nimbly to the side so that he wouldn't be crashed into before removing his weapon from his ankle and once more hefting it into the flail like position he was more used to using it as. The senshi stormed by his new spot out of the way and stomped what seemed to be the majority of the smaller lizards. They didn't seem to have much in the terms of courage because as soon as they recovered from the stomping of the senshi, they seemed to disappear into nothingness. Oh, Sodalite was certain that the lizards were still around, it's just that they seemed to initiate some sort of camoflage after being attacked.
"That's good. Think that'd work on the big one over yonder," here Sodalite jerked his thumb over his shoulder to point at the largest lizard before adding, "if you can knock it off balance I can deftly jump in and deliver some well placed blows. Might be enough to get them into full retreat mode."

She grinned at the Agent. "Can't hurt to try!" She said, saying the "magic" words and moving her fingers to her head again. This time she aimed for the bigger lizard and stomped her way towards it, and when she got close enough slammed herself into it!
The snow where the lizard was went flying up into the air in a nice shower of powder and it was hard to tell if she had gotten it or not. "Let me know if you still see it!" She said, looking around to see if it had disappeared or had managed to dodge her attack.
Sodalite had been paying very close attention to the area where the bigger lizard had been sitting, much unlike a king, while its lowly servants busted their asses to get things done with a sudden flush of anger boiling under his skin. If you were too afraid to get your own hands/limbs/whatever dirty then why sit back? Instead of answering the senshi after she used her magic a second time, Sodalite merely strode past her before bringing his 'weapon' over his head in a few heavily-powered swings toward the ground.
He honestly had no idea where the larger lizard had gotten to as the plastic toy thunked harmlessly into the snow instead of making contact with a large, solid body.
"I don't think it's here anymore. Can't see it and there's definitely nothing but a pile of snow here now. It's odd how it just seemed to vanish, but yet I still feel as if I'm being watched,"
Realizing that he'd yet to introduce himself, Sodalite offered a hand to the senshi, "anyhow, name's Sodalite. Thanks for the assist."
