Quote: Prompt 5 (Ice Bath): Rainfall is rare in Destiny City during Winter; there have been a few light showers between the occasional snow but it’s never been enough to be significant. In some places, it’s just enough for a thin layer of ice to cover the ground and make it a little slippery, but ultimately it’s not enough to worry about. In an inconspicuous place in town, you step into one of these icy puddles and the thin layer of ice shatters. The hole itself seems maybe three feet wide and if you’ve ever been in the area before you know it’s just a pothole a few inches deep at most. Except, when the ice shatters, you fall, plummeting into it as if it were a lake of icy water. It’s pitch black around you and only pale blue lights shimmer above you. The darkness is never ending and you can’t make out the details of anything except the shrinking hole above you. Maybe you remember how to swim and pull yourself out, maybe you black out and feel someone else pulling you out--either way, your frozen, soaking body is pulled from the puddle. The chill is immense, but if you look at the hole after being pulled out, all you can see is the ground below. There’s no sign that what you just experienced is real--except for the fact that you’re still soaking wet. Triplite kicked the unconscious body of the drunkard that had catcalled her and subsequently found himself no longer conscious and drained of energy. If there was one thing that she had been excited about when getting powers was beating all of the pervy guys who made a pass at a teenager. And she would have done it as an Order Senshi as well. She didn't care much for rules when it came to pervy civilians. She had to drag him to a less popular location, which is why she was near one of the more out of town streets with many potholes that needed cartoon anatomical reproductive parts sprayed around them to finally get them to fill in the potholes. Which is why she thought nothing of stepping on one of them. What she didn't expect was for the ice to break and for her to fall in! She suddenly felt her breath being taken away, her body going cold as she only barely felt herself gripping the edge of the whole, the weight of her hair and uniform now trying to drag her further into the dark water. "S***!" She yelped as she attempted to grab onto anything that could help her climb out of the water.

Man, if he wasn't just brimming with a desperation to not be alone natural curiosity, Diesel wouldn't run into half the things he did out here. It was nothing besides pure luck that let him catch a glimpse of the other Negaverse Senshi before she plummeted downward. It happened so abruptly that for a second, he believed that she'd simply teleported away.
...But Diesel could still feel the aura permeating the edge of his senses, and it wasn't even one with the ability to teleport on command, at that.
He was at her side in less than a blink, gloved hands reaching to catch at her scrabbling fingers as the poor girl was practically dragged into the ground (the ground? They were in the middle of the street!) by the weight of her own hair. "It's okay, it's okay. I gotcha, no worries!" The words tumbled out, a hushed repetitive mantra to try and soothe the poor thing as he took both her wrists and hauled her from the puddle.
The puddle.
Diesel's dark eyes were wide as he stared at it- something that hardly looked like it could swallow a person, but it had. She was quaking where he held her, absolutely drenched in frigid water from head to toe. As much as he wasn't selfless, and wouldn't give up his own comfort for another's, she was fortunate that Diesel ran a little hot and had some heat to spare. If it had been any inconvenience to him, he might have let her perish of hypothermia, so she was lucky this time.
He shredded off the heavy, sunset-bedazzled fabric from around his hips and tossed it over her shoulders, dragging her great mass of blond hair out from under it so that the wet would cling less to her.
"You're gonna be alright, yeah? You good?" He asked, palms sweeping up and down her arms to help warm her faster.

She had only been in the puddle for a few moments and suddenly she was out of it, and she couldn't help but clean tightly to the person who had helped her. She was trembling, but the slew of curse words could be heard under her breath and with her teeth chattering from the cold. Suddenly she was having something wrapped around her and had gotten a bit of heat from the person, whom she could now tell was a Corrupt like herself, had helped her out. "Thanks. Stupid f***ing puddle f***ing hair-" Her cursing continued for a bit but she felt herself getting warmer. Still, if she could have done something to attack that "puddle" she would have. When she was finally warm enough, she took a look back at it and then at the other Corrupt. "I've never seen that happen before. Why would a puddle be that deep? Pot holes get bigger or something? It felt like it didn't have a bottom though..." Not that she was very tall, but she could have sworn that there was just... nothing. "Thank you for helping me out of there. Hair was not very helpful at the moment." She had to admit, the long hair could be a bit of a drawback. Hopefully there weren't too many Senshi or Knights with water powers that could make the hair gain twice as much weight. "Was just doing some draining and that happened." Embarrassing. She thought she would be cooler when it came to her fellow Corrupts and Agents and now she fell in a puddle and almost drowned or died of hypothermia. "I'm Triplite."

He snorted softly at her curses. In his years, he'd had his fair share of weird, inexplicable s**t happen to him, and it was usually more harrowing than expressly enjoyable. But if this was the worst that ever happened to her, Diesel was sure she'd learn to appreciate it. "Why's anything happen the way it does here, huh?" And it felt like he'd experienced something exactly like this in particular already before, so she definitely didn’t have to convince him that this was out of the ordinary.
"I wouldn't stress yourself thinking about it, though.” He waved off her concern with a flick of fingers. “Most important thing is you're gonna be fine. Do you want me to get us out of here? I can take you back to Negaspace. It’ll be warmer." Anything would be warmer than standing out in the cold.
He tipped his head at her, regarding the spiked band on her head curiously. “Or you could just power down, I suppose. No wet clothes, no long hair. I’ve heard some senshi say they chop it off when they power up so it won’t get in the way, but, y’know, not fond of that route myself.” He threaded long fingers through the vibrant rainbow spilling over his shoulders, picking lightly at the tie of a braid. If anyone got close enough to him to try and use his hair against him, they’d regret it. That was all that mattered.
“Anyway, I’m-”
Triplite. She said her name was Triplite. She was using a mineral name.
Every time Diesel had to introduce himself, he wondered which he should say. He had a mineral name. His brother had graciously bestowed it upon him. He hated it. If it was supposed to make him feel like part of the Negaverse, it didn’t. Cervantite. It just made him feel tiny and insignificant. It was rare that he chose to offer it up, especially with other senshi. …Though it was rare for other senshi to use one, either.
“I’m Cervantite,” he muttered stiffly most of the playful tone draining out of his voice. “Uh, c’mon. We gotta get you somewhere warmer.”

"If it was frozen I would at least be able to punch or stomp on it..." She muttered under her breath. She felt another shiver go down and decided that being warm was more important than being angry and the strangely deep puddle she had fallen in. "Y-yeah. That would probably help." She said in regards to his offer to teleport them to Negaspace. She might be able to get some punches in on a training dummy as well. "No-no. I want to pUNCH something." She said, another shiver interrupting her in the middle of her sentence. Even if she had long-a** hair and it was wet she didn't want to be here, in the cold winter, any longer than she had to for the moment. The darkness of Negaspace would be better than this cold that she was now angry at. Somehow during all of her self-centerdness she realized that his tone had changed and she gave him a strange look. She wasn't sure what had caused it, but it was when he told her his name. She wondered if he didn't like it. She just chose hers because of the 3-ness in it that fit with Triceratops. Still, she wasn't sure if it was that or he was feeling some Order aura that she couldn't. or he saw something or whatever. "Yeah, I'll take the teleportation. Please. I won't be as testy there as I am here, and seeing that puddle." She sent another glare towards it, but was feeling much better now that she had a chance to say a few curses. Alright, alright. It was just a name. It didn't matter, and him having an awful one wasn't her fault (even if he unfairly felt like she was partially responsible for bringing it up). The most important thing was making sure she was out of the cold. Not everyone burned as hot as he did, after all. ...Even if Triplite did seem plenty fiery in her own right. "Dunno what you think you'd get out of punching a brick of ice, but-" he shrugged dismissively. "Probably best to leave it." The ice bath could be someone else's problem.
And since the other Senshi had already taken him up on his offer to get them out of here, Cervantite didn't waste more time asking if she was ready or figuring out where specifically she wanted to end up. They'd go where he felt like taking them.
Cervantite had certainly heard of people who didn't really get along that well with teleportation. It made them sick or dizzy or tired, and maybe he'd caught a little of that when he'd first started doing it a couple years ago or whatever, but now he could hardly imagine existing without it. Never mind the convenience, but he liked that little thread of Chaos power weaving through his senses as he tugged on it to take them elsewhere, felt a little thrill of exhilaration as they were snatched from the fabric of reality and dropped in literally another plane of existence.
He didn't know where Negaspace was, exactly, but he sincerely doubted it was in Destiny City. They landed in the Negaverse Castle, in a hallway lined with door, close to his General's office. It was among the easiest and most familiar places for him to teleport into, something he welcomed with the added strain of taxiing someone else.
"You've probably been here a couple times, yeah? Are you gonna be good to get warmed up on your own? There's probably a lounge with a couple heaters on somewhere," he gestured vaguely down the hall, "that way."

Triplite managed to stop shivering when she realized that they had been transported to the castle. "We're here? I have got to get some teleportation." She muttered to herself before she realized she was cold again. She looked at Diesel and nodded to him. "Yeah, I know where to go I think." At least she knew the training room. If she couldn't find somewhere to warm up, maybe exercising all of the anger out of her would do it. However, she decided that for now she would see if there were some heated lounges in the direction that was barely waved at. "Thank you for the teleportation. And I'll have to remember your name. I haven't met many other Corrupts, so I guess that makes you my first acquaintance." She said with a small smile. "I'm good from here though. Thanks again for the lift!" She said with a small wave of her hand before she turned around and started to run through the halls to see if she could get someplace warmer. Indigo_Plateau End post from me! Thank you for the rp!

"Easy as that," Cervantite agreed with a perfectly blasé shrug, at odds from his wide grin. Like, yeah, yeah, all the Senshi magic was great, but surely teleportation had to be just about their greatest asset. Not completely convinced it was worth giving up a whole world over, but had to be, like, pretty close, and there was no way Cervantite would bring that up to someone he'd just met.
And as much as Cervantite craved being memorable enough that people would know his name, he sincerely wished she wouldn't remember this one: this one that hardly felt like his at all, that he wouldn't choose over his other, better one if given the opportunity. Another very slight waver in his smile.
"Yeah, no worries," he said instead. "I haven't met as many as you'd think, and I've been at this a while, so keep in touch. And good luck out there." And that was all there was to say. He didn't blame her for her quick departure: poor thing was still soaking wet, but as she ran off Cervantite lingered just a few seconds longer to make sure she found her way, before he teleported off too, back to the city.
