Prompt 6 (Snowy Sneezes): Small custom shops and stalls always seem to open up this time of year, and Destiny City has no shortage this year. Several seasonal themed shops have already received raving reviews, and among them is a small cafe. Outside it looks like a cute vintage cafe, but inside, the shop has been decorated so convincingly that you feel like you've just stepped into a snowy northern forest. They have an array of delicious, cold drinks, and the trip would be worthwhile for that alone--except, shortly after the first sip, anyone who has ingested the drink will find that they sneeze a flurry of tiny snowflakes. The more drinks consumed, the longer you will find you are sneezing little snowflakes. It feels like there is a tickle up your nose for an hour or longer, depending on player choice; drinking more can also lead to longer effects. There are no negative impacts--just the need to sneeze often, and a little burst of cold snowflakes along with each one. Surprisingly, the shop still doesn't have any bad reviews.
Today Holland was out and about looking for some holiday gifts to send people. Daisy offered to go with him but what would be the point of going present shopping if one of the people he was shopping for is accompanying him? Clearly Daisy didn't catch on, but that was okay. He wished he could get something for Theo as well, but he wasn't sure what he wanted to get. Maybe a new pot? But that didn't seem all that much like a gift….It did make him wonder if Theo has heard of Rick and Morty, or if he even liked the show. The strange brown senshi came to mind for some odd reason while he thought of memes and the fact that he actually understood his Skeletor facts, something that while anyone could laugh at, really clicked. Well for a little bit at least. Like, he wouldn't make Skeletor memes with DJ Buster or anything like that so…
He started bobbing his head as he walked, humming the theme to a song by Blue October while looking into the windows of shops that he might have an interest in. At first he thought he wouldn't ever really find anything interesting till a small cat plant pot caught his eye. This he thought he wanted for himself, but the more he looked at it, the more he thought about Theo. “Hummmn….” Walking backwards, Holland walked through the door, waved to the owner, and made a beeline for that pot that he just saw. Now why he thought Theo would like it, he didn't know. Right now something was telling him to get it either for himself or for the grumpy male and since he had made sure to save up this year he was nowhere near short on cash [he wasn't about to mention how his parents would give him money if he asked, but he was an independent short king damn it he could do it on his own].
Dancing to his song, Holland grabbed the box that contained a pristine cat pot, smiling at the owner while he paused the song he had on repeat. “I’d like to buy one of these please.” The clerk nodded, “So, are you buying this for your momma? They allowed you out on your own today?” A frown crossed his face and he sighed, “I'm 22 sir. I'm not a kid.” The older man chuckled and ruffled his hair, “Sure kid, just don't be in a hurry to grow up alright? It's not fun in the slightest.” His eye twitched then and he ground his teeth, “I'm telling the truth ... .Do you WANT to see my ID? My car?” The older man blinked, “W-wait you're serious?” The smaller male rolled his eye, “Yeeeessssss?” The store clerk gave a nervous laugh, “Sorry about that young man…No offense taken?” Holland looked the man dead in the eye while he swiped his credit card [he originally planned on using his debit but figured he'd drive the thought home by swiping with a credit card a kid should not be having.], “Nooope. Not at all. Thank you.” He carefully took the bag offered, tapped his ear bud and started dancing out the door to his song like nothing happened.
Now that he had one gift down [and a payment to make on his card] he could continue.
The next shop wasn't very far ahead, spotting a cute vintage cafe. He was hungry so this would be the perfect place to stop by while he thought of where he wanted to go next. The outside looked amazing but he wanted to eat inside today. As soon as he opened the door, it was like stepping into the closet to Narnia, snow and trees were everywhere. He had trouble understanding just how This was possible for something that seemed so tiny on the outside. He approached the counter, looking at all the drinks that were available, Holland decided to pick the one named Numa Numa Berry. The clerk told him to wait at the counter, and literally three minutes later, he had his drink in hand. The burst of sourness combined with the sweetness of the berry literally made him shiver. The small male made his way out of the store, sipping away at his drink while looking at the next store or booth he could shop at. After a little bit, his nose started to itch, nothing unusual….Cept the sneeze that came after.
Was that….?
“AhhhhhhhhhhhCHOO!”
Holland gasped the second time he sneezed, small snowflakes falling to the ground before him. “Huh?” He sneezed again, more snowflakes came out of his mouth. Instead of being afraid, he sipped the drink even faster, laughing whenever he sneezed for the next hour and a half. Well he wasn't expecting to become a literal body for a snow storm but here he was! As soon as the snowflakes stopped, he was already back in the cafe to buy more, trying different flavors and laughing at the snow that came from his sneezes. He would get Daisy’s present for sure today, he just had to try another drink first.
