Since he'd decided to stop being a lazy bum at home and avoiding all the chores he'd been fairly busy perfecting his craft. It was slow going since he was something of a perfectionist. Arrows were damned near perfect now. Always straight with the best fletching he could find. Sharp enough to cut through thick leather too. Eventually he'd venture into making the bows to go along with those arrows but for now he'd settle for one thing he knew he was good at.

In his venture to become great at one thing he'd caught wind that there were better grade materials to be had from other territories. Oserys decided he needed to try them so that led to him being on the road and eventually arriving in the Oba/Matori area. He held a map in front of his face for a second, not moving his feet as he tried to get his bearings. "Which way was it again?" The boy had stopped to ask directions earlier but they hadn't been the most specific.

Blinking he looked up to see where he was. Maybe a landmark or something would give it away? It wasn't like his home where a large tree or out cropping of rocks could identify where one was. Everything looked the same and yet different here. "I think I'm lost.. again," Oserys squinted at the map and turned it one way then the other to see if maybe he was looking at it wrong. Navigation would need to be the next skill he bothered to learn. With a sigh he looked up at those around him before clearing his throat. "Excuse me.. can someone point me in the right direction?"

Errands, errands and more errands. Ezili let out a soft sigh as she spun around, her teal gaze scanning the skies for any hint of something interesting. She had some recent fun, but now she was at a loss of what to do. It was harder to find a lot of mischief while on the road running errands for her family living in Matori and Oba. Though she had recently beaten some traveling merchants at gambling, the hybrid's hands quite deft when it came to moving a pebble beneath some cups. "I suppose that was fun enough while it lasted." She murmured quietly before looking back towards the road, the young woman shifting her satchel of supplies for the family that she had purchased before getting sent away from the merchants for her antics. They were most definitely sore losers, but at least she had a few extra coins for spending money now. The question was did she use them in a shop here in the town or did she continue back on her way to her grandmother's dance school for the day?

Though it appeared her luck wasn't completely run out. Ezili found herself stumbling in the street, her expression full of bewilderment for once as she thought she spotted a familiar image in the crowds. If she was in the Oban desert then surely it would have been a mirage, but that stumbling about with a map was too realistic a thing! Then there was the voice, the familiar tones cutting through the crowd as Ezili got closer. "No wonder you're lost. That's not a leaf, how can you dare to read it?" She teased, leaning forward as she tried to take a peek at the map that Oserys was offering towards strangers who took a step back once Ezili shot them a look. Honestly, if she didn't step up then he could have been tricked by someone wanting to see how much he was carrying in his pockets! Ezili enjoyed mischief but even she knew that could be dangerous. What was Oserys doing all the way out here anyways? Ezili frowned at the thought as she studied him. "A bit far from home, aren't ya?"

A few strangers had slowed down to look at his map as they continued on and then some others had stopped to peek over at what he was looking for. None so far had added their voice to things so that he might figure out where to go. Not until a familiar tone hit his ears and he looked toward the owner. Instantly the wind male offered up a grin to Ezili. "Well, there weren't many leaves here." He joked a bit.

Running into the girl from the forest was not something he thought would happen since he was far from home. When she commented about the distance between him and his chores he chuckled. "Exactly. I'm here to find the perfect materials for my hobby." If possible it looked as though Oserys brightened even more. "There's a smithy around here that has what I'm looking for. Just need to find it." And it wasn't so easy to find when one was terrible at reading a map. Traveling roads was easy. Point in a direction and he could follow. When he got into the city areas.. well, going in one direction wasn't enough it seemed since roads had bends and corners and more roads coming off them and all the while there were buildings in the way so he couldn't see.

Ezili let out a playful huff. “You’re simply not looking hard enough.” She mused with a shake of her head as if disappointed in him. It was all in good spirits though since Ezili wasn’t that upset to see Oserys as surprising as the situation was. “There’s no smithy with good enough materials in Sauti? That’ll be disappointing for any blacksmiths back home to hear.” She mused before looking over at him with curiosity. Was it a matter of the perfect metal or something like that? She wasn’t even certain what all someone would need to bring them out so far from home. Her own mother was a bit particular when it came to getting the perfect pieces together, her colored glass coming from all over whenever traders passed through and could find what she needed to help create her art.

Her teal gaze skimmed over the map again, Ezili pursing her lips thoughtfully. “You didn’t have someone convince you that they had some legendary materials, did you? Where is this smithy?” Maybe she could help even if she wasn’t the most familiar with the area herself just yet. Running errands over the last few weeks between Matori and Oba though was quickly getting her a better understanding of the areas, the hybrid spending some time to learn what she could before moving onto the next location. She just hoped someone else hadn't conned Oserys into making such a trip for nonsense. As much as Ezili enjoyed a good prank, she preferred if she was the mastermind and that it didn't completely waste someone's efforts when they went along with it.

He chuckled when she said he likely hadn't looked hard enough. "That's probably true, it was too much like a chore." And Ezili knew he avoided those at all costs if he could. It's what made him 'useless' at home. "I'm looking for the best so I can make something worth it. I can't give you sub-par items, can I?" Oserys joked with a large grin.

When she asked if he'd been tricked he gave a half cringe due to her word choice. "Well, they didn't say legendary but they did say it was amazing." It was one of the reasons he'd come all the way to Oba. He lowered his gaze back down to the map. "Ah, its supposed to be on a street just off a small square called Royals Row." The young man blinked as he tried to find the square he was looking for. His arms turned the map one way then another as he read the names of several different places. "I just got this map when I entered the city but I can't tell where I'm at." It would have been nice if it would have said 'You are Here' but he didn't get that lucky. And from what he could tell there was nothing to identify where he was either. All the streets looked the same on paper.

Ezili looked at the sky as if dramatically asking for patience before glancing back towards Oserys. "I'd prefer to not let my love of traveling get tarnished by being compared to a chore." She chastised him playfully, her gaze thoughtful as she pondered exactly where any blacksmiths could be here. She knew the path to the general market, had shortcuts between her uncle's dancing academy and her grandparents' manor in Matori, but she had never actively sought out any blacksmiths before. "Well I mean...I didn't ask for items. Did I? I have more unique ways to pick fights, not with weapons like others." She replied after a moment even as she felt like she was going to have to direct him regardless, the trickster knowing she would feel bad if she simply let him wander the streets like a lost perzi.

Looking over the map, she frowned. It would be so easy to prank him here and send him in circles, but Oserys was already potentially caught in someone else's mischief. Did she dare add to his confusion? Tempting. But instead she decided that she would support him this time. "Okay, I think I can manage to direct you. But do you have things to trade for these supposedly amazing materials? Because if not...well we could come up with something." There was a gleam in her gaze, the trickster already trying to think about what materials they could try to barter with. What if they picked up a super "mystical" rock or used fool's gold? It would depend on how wise the blacksmith was or if Oserys already had coin and wanted to simply go there....well it wouldn't be as fun, but she supposed she could just guide him instead then. And then perhaps a bit of mischief myself after, depending on the blacksmith.

He gave another laugh as she mentioned tarnishing her love of travel. "I didn't say the traveling was a chore, just the looking around was. I'd have to walk in circles." Possibly close to twenty circles before he found anything promising. His eyes dropped to the map and he scrunched his nose a bit. Why did it have to be so difficult to find one's way?

His gaze moved back up to Ezili when she stated she hadn't asked for anything. Oserys just gave a calm smile as he lifted his shoulders. "I know. Doesn't mean I can't give you things. Who else is going to tell me if my work is good enough?" While he knew she liked to tease and play tricks on him he also had found out that she would let him know if something were truly wrong. Everything else was in good fun and he wasn't against it. The windling actually rather enjoyed it.

When his friend said she might be able to manage with the directions he straightened up. "Perfect." While it was no leaf he was certain with Ezili's help he should at least fare better than he would on his own. "I brought some coin, do you think that will be enough or should I try to find something to sweeten the deal?" He was used to the trade back home where good could be exchanged. He'd only brought along the coin he had been saving since he knew bigger towns and cities used it instead. That and he figured it had more value to a blacksmith than a bag of grain. Right? "Should I have brought the grain?"

Ezili could only shake her head. Walking around was the fun part because you never knew what you would run into! Sheesh. She gave another shake of her head, a hint of a smile on her lips in defeat. “If you find my opinion that important then I suppose I can’t blame you.” Though who could trust the word of a trickster like her? She supposed she had been a bit too soft on some of her acquaintances, a hint of honesty in her reactions to certain situations like today despite all of her pranks showing through after all.

She pursed her lips thoughtfully at the idea of him bringing coin for the material. “That should work if the materials are truly that important. If they’re trying to pull one over on you then I propose we pay with your own special materials. This should work. What do you think?” Ezili dug around in her satchel bag and pulled out some shimmering rocks that looked like gold. She knew better, they were actually a fake version but with a little touch of magic they could look like the real thing for a limited time. Ezili blinked at the idea of grain, tilting her head as she studied the Sautian with amusement. “You’re so innocent that it can hurt. But it’s best that you didn’t bring grain, it would have taken a lot of that to trade for anything truly expensive. She shook her head with a smile. If it was truly a ploy for money then the blacksmith probably would be wanting a whole village worth of grain which surely Oserys couldn’t carry on his own!
