There were times when Myrrha believed she ought to give her home in space another chance. But then summer was over and there were choices to be made: where to live, where to entertain the chance of post-secondary academia, where to work. It was expected that she begin to earn her way walking in the world of adults. The first step in that was paying to stay at home. Her parents said it was to transition their only daughter to the reality that nothing in the world came free.
Even as her legs dangled off the side of the building that she had found herself on did Myrrha sigh once more. Her personal life seemed to mirror the powered one that she was experiencing at the moment. The support that she believed that she had found in others hadn't been misplaced but there were absences that she keenly felt now that she had not heard from familiar faces in quite awhile. To lose a close friend like she felt had happened Myrrha felt like she was floating, adrift in a large body of water. But dwelling on such grim thoughts wouldn't help her out this evening.
With one last muttered expletive Myrrha stood up, brushed off the back of her fuku and then jumped over to the next building before finding the fire escape and decending in a more normal manner. There was nothing going on it seemed on this evening and although it would be boring, Myrrha began to walk to the nearest park in order to try and take her mind off things. It had an added bonus that she was avoiding home at the moment too. She didn't have a curfew anymore due to her job but there had been expressed concern that she at least try to be home before the night was over.LP okay - so I hope this works as a start

Snowball had been, well absent from his duties for quite a while. He wasn't sure if there were any Polaris knights left, or if there were new ones. He'd made a mental note he needed to track them down but -- for now something else tracked on his radar.
His ears flicked as he looked around and started following an energy signature that was headed to the park. He had been watching her for a few minutes picked her up when she was sitting on the building but hadn't made it in time to sit beside her.
So he just rolled with it and tagged along. Nothing weird about a large white cat with gems glistening in the moonlight as if it was shining off snow. "Penny for your thoughts?" He finally asked hoping not to startle the senshi.

The voice that had piped up from somewhere at ankle level had Myrrha pausing to take a quick look around before she realized that, no, she wasn't being pranked. The small blip that registered in her mind had the super senshi merely arch an eyebrow before she gave in and looked down. As certain as snow was white, there was a cat that seemed to be keeping pace with her. There was a spark of recognition in her mind that she knew this cat. For now though she merely chuckled, "I don't know if that would be a good trade. I have a lot of thoughts. How many pennies do you have?"
Even as she approached the park did Myrrha find the first available picnic table before merely looking it over before sitting down. Oh well, from one cold, hard surface, to yet another one. The stare down that she gave towards the cat was one of trying to figure out the answer to a riddle that she was absolutely sure that she knew. Taking in the fluffy white fur of the feline and given that he was clearly addressing her meant that he was definitely a Mauvian but why was there the feeling of something more tickling the recognition centers in her brain?
"For instance, one such thought of mine is how can I keep doing this now that I'm getting older? Or another thought is: am I going to be able to keep balancing a life as a senshi with the life of a regular young woman attending college ..." and here Myrrha sighed before she glanced down to the Mauvian again before continuing, "or here's a new thought just for you: I'm now thinking that you seem very familiar to me for some reason ... why would that be?"
Myrrha thought she knew who this talking cat might be as tiny snippets of a memory burst out from somewhere deep in her brain, but she wanted him to confirm it.

Snowball chuckled when the senshi questioned how many pennies he could find, "I'm sure I can find a fair amount for the thoughts you have."
It had been, how long since he'd seen the senshi? Well he'd lost track of how long it'd been but it had been quite a while and as she asked the questions that seemed to be on a lot of folks minds.
"You'll find the balance, it's different for everyone. Just make sure your doing your best and try not to let your studies fall behind if that's your goal. Sometimes, it's better to react when trouble shows than to be proactive." He paused, "Of course, that always entirely depends on you as well and what interests you, you could keep this as a hobby if you really wanted."
He stretched a bit as she asked why he was familiar. "Ah!"
"I'm Snowball." He said with a pause, "I was there when you first became a senshi and well my, look how you've grown." He beamed, "You've done very well, and well, it's been quite a long time!"
She had obviously come a long way from the first time he'd asked her to pick up the pen.

And that, was the confirmation that Myrrha had been seeking from Snowball. He was the one that had awoken her into Sailor Myrrha so very long ago. Her gaze lingered on the Mauvian's sleek white fur before she gave consideration to what had been said about finding a balance between everything. The idea that she didn't have to be proactive in her approach to being a senshi was a strange one to consider. If she kept to doing it as a hobby, like her paranormal explorations or treasure hunting, that would free up a lot of time in order to pursue her schoolwork if she chose to go that route. Myrrha smiled down towards Snowball before she chuckled softly, "I don't seem to think I've changed much. I mean I'm still me."
Hoping that it wasn't considered inappropriate Myrrha gently tried to offer Snowball a few scratches of his ears before she sighed, "It has been a long while though since we've seen each other. I mean did we ever run into each other again over the years since?"
Myrrha would have hopefully remembered if she had seen Snowball after the chaos of that one night but even as she wracked her brain there was nothing that came to mind.

"Ah, well I'm glad you're still you!" Snowball gave a soft murr when Myrrha gave him some scratches behind his ear.
He was thinking about the question she asked if they'd seen each other since and his ears flickered as he thought, "Ah. . . . I don't think we have. I know I've been a bit busy when Princess Polaris was actively active."
He seemed to ponder, "Unfortunately I don't think our paths have crossed again until now."
He stretched a bit as he decided to loaf on the picnic table beside Myrrha. "Would you mind if I see your pen?" He asked as he watched her.

Myrrha had been keeping a surreptitious eye on her surroundings as any good senshi should have been doing but most of her attention was on the cat that now decided to loaf on the table properly. Her lips twitched up into a smile as she took in the sight before simply nodding to Snowball's request. Summoning her pen into the open she placed it down in front of the Mauvian before leaning back with a sigh.
"To think it's been nearly eight years since we met that one evening. It's kind of amazing how time has flown by," she let her gaze fall before linking both hands behind her head in a stretch before relaxing her posture, "I've encountered the strangest occurrences and dealt with some pretty horrific things since then ... but I've also managed to get up to the place that lends me the power to transform into Myrrha."
Her gaze landed on her pen before she sighed, "I've not been my powered self for a while as of late but I just felt the itch to do something that was once part of my normal everyday routine. By the way, is there something wrong with my pen? Is that why you need it?"

He listened as she spoke about how the time had flown. "It is amazing how fast and fleeting time can be. And also how slow it can move when it wants to. One month can feel like a day and one day can feel like a month pending on what's going on."
He chuckled, "Though, hopefully it's not another eight before we meet again."
Snowball looked over the pen after Myrrha summoned it and smiled, "Wrong?"
There was a pause seemingly to think about his response. Slowly he shook his head, "No, well not particularly in the sense of broken anyways."
He placed a paw on the pen and closed his eyes as he channeled a bit of power through the pen to allow the pen to change. "The reason I needed it, is well you've grown enough to earn your next power level!"
He smiled, "Just call out Myrrha Eternal Power, Make-up! or something to the effect of that and you'll feel a bit more powerful."tefla If you want me to change the power up call to something custom just let me know.

"I definitely would not like to wait another eight years to meet up again either. You know, I never really appreciated what you did for me that day."
As Snowball took her pen to look it over Myrrha had a moment of deja vu occur. Where had this happened before? Myrrha tapped her chin in thought before remembering a night on a swing set in where the Mauvian Etoile had found her. She too had wrought changes in her henshin pen that once a new phrase had been said, found Myrrha transforming into her super senshi stage. At the time she had been a little weary and wary of the jump in power but she had grown into it, albeit it slowly. Now, here Snowball was, offering her more power and she felt the smallest thrill go through her that she would finally be of the same power level that Scylla had been when they had first met and interacted with each other.
The senshi of the kraken had long since dropped off Myrrha's radar but it would have been neat if she could share this revelation with her, if they ever managed to cross paths again.
Instead of dwelling on what was, Myrrha returned her attention to her pen and the small minute changes that had occurred after Snowball tinkered with it and reached out with a shaking hand to retrieve it before giving the smallest of hitched breaths. Was she ready for more power? If Snowball said she was, then it must be true. Inside she mentally crossed her fingers before holding her newly transformed pen and saying the phrase that Snowball had indicated she try with a quiet conviction behind the words, "Myrrha Eternal Power, Make-up!"

The words might have been quietly said, but the resulting transformation had Myrrha inhaling sharply at the increased sense of power and the new design that her fuku had taken on ... and were those wings coming off of her lower back?

Snowball chuckled, "Yes lets not make 8 years a habit." He agreed as he sat there his tail flickering softly as he looked around.
He was beaming when Myrrha powered up and she now had fluffy white wings. "I do like your upgrade, the fluffy wings are nice look on you."
He stretched a bit as he seemed to think, "You look ready to take on new foes and hopefully continue to build towards your own goals and dreams."
He tilted his head thoughtfully, "You've been to your homeworld right? How's it coming along?" Snowball was curious how other's homeworlds were going, he'd not been to someone else's homeworld in quite a while.

Myrrha smiled down at Snowball before lightly running her gloved hands over the Mauvian's ears in a gentle caress before she sat herself back down on the table. The idea of being able to take on new foes was a little disconcerting. It was the second part about perhaps reaching her goals and dreams that was more of an interesting prospect. As Snowball inquired about her home world Myrrha's hand stilled. That seemed to be an innocent enough question but after her first visit she hadn't worked up the nerve to go back. Scylla probably would have encouraged her to go back; heck she would have been eager to take her up but the senshi of the kraken had simply not been around.
"Would it be wrong to admit that I've only gone up once," she queried. She wanted to sigh but she instead peered up to the sky before feeling like she needed to explain further, "I don't think my world and I started out very well. First trip and either I just have lousy luck or it was a fluke. I nearly ended up going over a cliff upon my arrival. It sort of soured my view on it."
There was also that dream she had had while she slept that had spoken of that massive disaster that had wiped out the population. It had rattled her greatly.

Snowball's tail twitched as he gave out a soft purr when she ran her hand over his ears.
"No, I don't think so. Sometimes homeworlds and even knight wonders can be overwhelming, while others are under whelming." He answered looking thoughtful, "If you want to go up and need company I'd be happy to come, just ping me."
The cat frowned though, "I do think the landing sounds fairly unlucky though hopefully it doesn't send you tumbling every time. Maybe it was just the fact it was your first time so you just randomly ended up in the worst spot."
His tail twitched, "Since you've been there, if you remember something maybe when you're focusing on going try to focus on that spot and it might let you land there."
Honestly the cat would love to see more about different homeworlds and wonders, it was a neat experience to him. "Oh I do have a phone so you could scan me and you can always call or send a message if you need help!"

The idea that her world would keep depositing her on that cliff side every time she went to visit had Myrrha shuddering. She had never been really afraid of heights but something about that yawing expanse that she'd almost tumbled over had the eternal senshi wondering if Snowball's words about developing a safer place to arrive would ever work. The only other place that she had meandered about for a brief amount of time had been the outskirts of the village, the same one from her dream, before she had fled to come back to Earth. The offer of taking the Mauvian up with her the next time that she went, as company, was appealing and she gently chucked the feline under the chin before staring off into the distance for a moment.
"I think," and here Myrrha paused, "that I will take you up on that offer. What I've experienced so far up there has made me wary of returning anytime soon. Maybe with someone watching my back, it won't be as bad."
Taking out her phone, the senshi sighed before holding it out to Snowball before looking sheepish for a moment, "besides one other person that I've interacted with in the past, I'm still a relative newb when it comes to these phones. How does one 'scan' another? There doesn't seem to be a button for that feature. Is there a newer model of phone out there that allows that to be done?"
LP I don't think Myrrha's ever received an upgraded phone design so she's still using the older template of the senshi phone and not the newer design that is out. Snowball could upgrade her phone too, if you want.

Snowball churred softly when she rubbed him tail flickering. "Ah, I can see where that'd be something to be wary of. It shouldn't be hard to find a new landing spot I don't think even if it's just a hop, skip and a jump away from where you've landed prior that might be a bit safer." Though the cat also knew he could shift to his human form and grab her if he needed to.
He paused though watching her phone. "Ohhhh, no one's updated your phone." He said softly before holding his paw as if to say hand that to me, "I can fix that. I suppose you might as well assume it's like a typical phone that needs the occasional upgrade but . . . just you don't replace the phone. That's kind of wasteful."
He chuckled a bit, "You'll be able to scan and add any order folk once I upgrade this."

Myrrha almost seemed taken aback by the statement that senshi phones had had upgrades done to them before she merely shook her head. It wasn't at all surprising given how much she seemed out of the loop on things these days. At the paw that was offered out to her Myrrha got the unspoken question that was being asked and simply nodded, more to herself, before placing the phone gently within Snowball's reach. Whatever was going to happen, she trusted the process.
It had been Snowball who had awoken her so many years ago and now, seemingly, somehow he'd stumbled across her when she'd needed a kind word and a lot of reassurance. Letting the Mauvian perform one more small upgrade to her apparently ancient phone wasn't asking a lot, and it'd give her access to better features it sounded like: so really, it was a win-win scenario for both of them.
As she watched Myrrha thought about the earlier statement that Snowball had made in regards to trying to visualize a new arrival location. Besides the cliff the only other place she'd come to associate with her world was the village. Was seeing it just once ... enough. Could she will herself and will her world to take her there the next time?
"I think," here Myrrha paused, "that if you came with me the next time I go home ... that maybe there could be an alternative landing location. A village. I briefly saw it before the trip became too much for me."
