Holland stepped off of the bus with a look of wonder in his eyes. So this was DCU?! His parents didn't say it would be THIS big! It made Sovereign Heights look a tiny bit smaller, which also meant that he had a grater chance of getting lost, which would make him late to classes, and then he would become the laughing stock...Eh, once again, something for future Holland to worry about. At the moment they were touring the library, which he kept note of the location. He planned on spending as much study time here as possible since he knew he was not going to get any studying done when he was at home or during the night. He took note of the fact that there was a manga section before moving on with the rest of the crowd. Since he was studying biochemistry, he was super stoked to see the science wing and maybe meet his teachers for next year. There wasn't much for the social part of the building but he did appreciate the fact that the lunchroom almost looked like how the food court would at the mall. Holland quickly stopped to buy something to drink from the vending machine, catching up to the group in time for them to make it to the science wing. This is where he was going to be next year?! Awesome! The fact that he was in front of the group made it all the better for him to see everything. He couldn't wait till he finally graduated and came here to learn! The next stop was the greenhouse where the botany students were currently at due to the winter season. Everyone looked around, taking note of the pretty colors as well as the fact that it was slightly warmer inside. Holland was currently watching one of the students pruning their flower when he saw a familiar shade of white hair. Hollands eyes brightened slightly as he made his way over. "Theo right? I didn't know you were a student here!~"

There were very, very few times when Theo's mind went absolutely blank. There were constant thoughts and echoing voices going on, some definitely more chaotic than others. Like how he'd imagine stealing the starseed of some a*****e who stole his seat in the auditorium during lecture, or how he would quietly morn the idea of some dumbass over watering his orchid in the greenhouse. But today, his mind was quiet... So very quiet... Only the sound of the occasional snip of his shears penetrated his little bubble. Everything else faded into a blank blur. Something poked and prodded at him being here... A long, long lost memory that he could feel just at the edge of his mind, only to be met with a blank emptiness. He had been here before, doing this, fiddling with the stems and petals in his fingers... And he remembered looking up and smiling at someone. But who? Who could it have been? That quiet was suddenly disturbed by a faintly familiar voice, and at first, he didn't look up. Maybe they'd go away instead of coming closer and closer... Yet they remained, and a very tired Theo looked up at them from where he sat at his bench. "Oh, it's you. Uh... Holland." What was he supposed to say about this? A glance at the professor had her waving her hand at him as if to say go on, be friendly for once you little s**t.. A brief scowl crossed his face, before he relaxed and let his face go neutral rather than smiling. "Guess you're one of the tour groups going around? Didn't know you were that young to still be touring schools. Good for you."

Well that couldve went better. Holland wasn't expecting the guy to be overly excited but sheesh, something other than melancholy would be nice. Shifting from foot to foot, Holland tried not to make things awkward, "Yeah I'm in one of the tour groups." His face deadpanned, "I'm not that young.....Ill be turning 22 in December on the 11th...I just go to Sovereign heights. Ill be coming here next year to start my degree in biochem. Sometimes he hated his baby face and height, it always gave him problems no matter how much he tries to avoid them.

"Huh, I wouldn't have guessed it. You're only about... a year younger than me, I think then. Don't know too much about schools though." All of his records were fake, so he had no idea what his alma mater was or anything like that. A shame, really, maybe then he could have come up with some sort of connection there. "That sounds really... Tough. I kept mine easy, Botany. ALOT less math. But anyway, uh... I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to teach you or tell you... The School is pretty cool? Food is alright?" A stem on a flower seemed to snap under his roaming hands, and he fell into a scowl again. "... Sorry, I'm not the most social person out there. You'd be better off talking to one of the eager beavers over near the front of the Greenhouse."

Oh? Wow....Theo looked....Much older than he originally thought. Maybe it was because he looked worn down each time he's seen him? Man looks like he has been through stuff back to back with no break in between. It made him feel sad in a way to see some one so young look so just done already. He decided to sit down for a bit, figuring the tour wasn't going to leave, "It can be if youre not as into math. But I would say Botany can be just as hard, imagine having to keep a plant alive and thriving...I would literally fail each time if I didn't have any help." He snorted at the fact that Theo thought he was supposed to teach or tell him something, "You dont have to teach or tell me anything. I just want to see what you do in Botany is all." He looked to the plant Theo was working with, "What plant is that?" Also he was sure the food was alright, it was a college, they are considered to be anywhere between a 2-3 star rating as far as the cafeteria is concerned, just barely a step up from high school. Noting the scowl, he shook his head, "Don't really need to talk if you dont want to. Like I said I just want to see and observe. Did the same thing for the literature, social, and other buildings. The science wing was the most fun though, totally not biased." He laughed a little, still curious about all the plants and what they would be using in the dirt to make sure they all grew so well.

Had Theo heard those thoughts about his age, he would have likely hit Holland right over the head with the pot he was holding. His exhaustion and grungy look could probably be cured by a good diet, some moderate exercise, some sun, and some goddamn sleep. But since he couldn't read minds, he just kept poking at his plant, fluffing up some petals. Talking about the plant though, that seemed to perk him right up, his eye lighting up, and a faint smile on his lips. "Cosmos atrosanguineus. Chocolate cosmos. Right now, my current project is seeing if I can cross breed these via grafting with a Heliotropium arborescens, or a Cherry Pie Flower. If you smell it, it gives a heavy chocolatey smell." He scooted back from the plant, welcoming Holland to take a good ol' whiff of it. "What kinda tour would you be on if you didn't atleast talk to *someone* you know?"

Holland thought about that mouthful as far as the plants was concerned, finding it funny that if he were to talk chem it would probably sound funny to Theo as well. He carefully leaned forward to smell the flower, humming with approval. For some odd reason it made him think of a certain senshi that reminded him of mocha and chocolate. He was sure that wasn't his power but either way, it didn't make him frown, unlike when he thought about the cake pop back when he was at work. He leaned back with a smile, being careful not to accidentally break anything, "True but sometimes its not so bad to sit in silence~ Thank you, it really does smell like chocolate." He was curious about some other things, "How does grafting work with plants?" He tilted his head, eyes reading curiosity. He knew how grafts worked for the human body with things like a skin graft but was it the same thing with plants? He was indeed curious.

"... Heh. You're not wrong. Thanks for that, I guess." at his extra little questions, Theo lifted up a bunch of flowers, and moved it out of the way, revealing what basically looked like a mismatched branch saran wrapped to the main body of the tree. "You really just cut a slit and shove a living stick into it, and make sure it stays warm. That's how you can get some lime trees that bear lemons too. Or oranges and Mangos. But getting them to breed together is much harder. Some things just don't want to get along, no matter how hard you try."

That stick comment took everything in Holland to keep a straight relaxed face and not to be immature. For what it was worth, it was still very interesting information when compared to how grafts worked for humans. He stared at the example in front of him, wishing he had the talent to try something like this. At that last bit he nodded, "True. Its the same with biochem and most things in general." He thought back to that senshi once more resisting the urge to roll his eyes. He really needed to meet other people on his side so he could stop trying to cling to some one that is ONCE AGAIN an enemy. He couldn't be that desperate for friends could he? Hell no. The guide was calling for all guests to say good bye so they could move onto the next location. Holland was a bit sad but he understood they had to move on at some point. He gave Theo a soft smile, "Welp...Time to move on sadly. Thank you for letting me bother you Theo." gave him a happy wave, "Hopefully you'll stop by the cafe again some time? If not Ill probably see you later on next year~" Holland jogged to catch up to the group that was slowly leaving him behind, maybe he could make a new friend out of Theo? He thought back to how he seemed a bit grumpy and unapproachable, chuckling. Maybe.

"Life is surprisingly simple, the longer you think about it. It's the same reason why some things feel way harder than they should be." He spoke from experience, tucking away the frankenstined stems and hiding it's ugliness. Just like life, easy to hide the bad away if you just layer alot on top of it. Seeing Holand called away, he waved him away, almost a little disappointed that their time together was so short. "Yeah, sure. The coffee was good, so I'll see you later, I guess..."
