How do I know when I've orgasmed. I DID read the sex education sticky and know what it is. But how do I know when its happened? Is it just something I'll know? I'm asking this because me and my boyfriend are getting to that level and I'm still a virgin. Please someone help me! Please.
Edit: We haven't done it yet. I just want to be prepared....

lol, you should be able to tell...it'll feel really good and tends to include all your muscles tensing and then feeling really relaxed afterwards. They can also last different lengths of time depending on how your recieving it.

It varies for different people. Some girls have a big mind-blowing orgasm, while others feel not much at all.
As it has been mentioned already, it's basically a tightening feeling in your genital area (because the muscles are tensing up), and then the orgasm is when the musclles release. Usually it's described as a "rush" or a "release of energy/feeling", etc.

If you are considering sex, whether or not you will know when you've orgasmed is probably the last thing you should be worried about being "prepared" for.
If you have an orgasm, you will know it. If you don't know it, you haven't had it.
But more importantly, if you are considering sex, have the two of you spoken about things like accidental pregnancies? Have you started looking into birth control?

no girls have orgasims without cumming, its only with guys they are directly linked.

I've been told by my boyfriend that there is in fact a difference, that guys can ejaculate without actually orgasming. And that if they ejaculate AND orgasm, it's apparently a lot better than just ejaculation on its own - though of course, that still feels really good on its own too.

I guess to be more technical, cumming is a reflex of having an orgasim for a guy. But an uncontrollable reflex and not commonly seperated in my experiences.

But it can be controlled. I remember a few years ago it was quite popular in the New Age scene for guys to try to control their bodies, including during orgasm and there was this whole wave of men who could orgasm without cumming and without the "being spent" feeling afterwards, and thus able to have multiple orgasms during sex.
