Zuella 1
Very soon they would find out if their prayers to Aisha had worked. They had been doing their best in the meantime. But they were equal parts anxious and excited. She hoped so hard it consumed her subconscious mind. She would find herself staring at unopened buds on flowers and imagined one forming on Aisha. A youngling with a piece of her and a piece of Kellye forming inside. So much magic, so much life, so much joy. Kellye was the part of her life that had been missing and she couldn't wait to add to their family. She had someone, who was there for her, who understood her perhaps even better than her aunts could, he was a part of her and she a part of him and there was nothing more right in the world than the pair of them together. She was so excited. He was so easy to be around and he had let her see all of him, he had told her his whole past. He had certainly lived a more interesting life than she. She looked forward to more life.

He made them both a soothing london fog style tea. It was delicious and calming, something both of them needed right now. He handed Zuella her tea and they both stood sentinel watching the road approach to their small shack in Jauhar. They would be expanding in a hurry if the tree had proved fruitful, he smiled at the thought of the made dash carpentry.
It seemed like an indeterminately long time that they stood there but really it wasn't all that long. They noticed the Alkidike runner at about the same time. News! Finally!
He was having a hard time remembering to breath as the runner jogged closer, her long legs able to cover great distance easily. He stepped closer to Zuella and grasped her hand tightly. They had been waiting for this, the moment of truth. He pressed himself into her side a solid support for what came. He inhaled and felt dizzy as the runner came to a stop puffing before them.

Gratefully she accepted the mug. It was hot and sweet and bracing. She leaned into his solid muscley shape. She loved this man, she was sure Aisha would see his merits and grant them a child of their blood. His bloodline would be an asset. She wanted his child, their child so badly. She clenched his hand back as the other alkidike caught her breath. Hopefully neither hand broke. She wasn't sure they would notice until too late either.
"You have a message for me sister?" She couldn't keep her excitement from her voice.
"Yes, Zuella, I do." The woman nodded at them both. "Your prayers were successful. There is a bloom on Mother Aisha for you two, it is sheltered on the tree, is healthy and quite beautiful. Congrats you two." She grinned and bowed.
"Oh, Kellye!" They hugged and Zuella got water for the poor woman, and bade her relax a moment while she and her mate fairly freaked out. They were going to be parents!

"It worked Zuella! We are going to be parents." He was full throttle in the happy dance that ensued after they had taken care of the runner lady who brought such glad tidings.
They enjoyed dancing together despite the height difference, it just meant that she did most of the lifts, he thought it was hysterical. The runner was most amused by their goofy, love shot antics. "Yes, congrats, congrats." She grinned at the pair crossed her legs and sipped her water. A new aishan was always good, she was pretty sure these two would let her catch a proper break and she was glad of it, it was warm still when you were marathoning. She loved to run though, especially for this type of mission, all that mush, she must think about getting a mate too one day, there was this one girl... the runners mind left the present while the couple rejoiced.
Kellye put all of his joy into his dance. His spirit flowed through him and around her, through his movements. He had gotten good with year of practice and thought that his deckmates would be impressed at his skills as well. He was so happy.

Eventually the other alk left and they were alone with their joy and thoughts. She immediately began to plan them a feast to celebrate, he could invite over Saeruin and her husband and they could all have a nice dinner together and share the news, yes that was a good plan. Family dinners! Sae already had so many kids of her own she would be able to help Zuella she hoped with how to mom.
Other than that she had baby things to make! Blankets, and clothing and jewellery and oh she was just so happy and excited. She peppered Kellye's face with kisses every chance she got until he giggled incessantly.
She had the best cup of tea in the world, she was a mother, her and Kellye were going to be parents! Her thoughts raced along extremely swiftly. There was much to prepare, they would have to expand the shack or even tear down and rebuild entirely. "Oh my, there is so much to do, good thing these things take a while.

Some time and much construction later they were as ready as they were ever going to be. It would be any day now that their little one would bloom into being and he would be able to meet their child for the first time. He was a Dad, with all of the charm and responsibility that position entailed. He had no memories of his own Dad, but he had over the years at least seen some good examples. Like Ushi, Kiyelt, Kylaelya and Viltre. All great Dads, he knew what to do but he also knew they would not have all the answers or even most of the answers at some points to come. Parenting sadly didn't come with a handy handbook. Though parents somehow managed to pull it off everytime.
It was so exciting, the energy of the house hadn't waned in the slightest in the interval months between news of the bloom and the gift of flowering that was soon to come. He was still rather flabergasted. He was wondering what they would get up to today and was hoping that his mate had some ideas.

She looked out the window of the newly expanded house, to see another runner. "KELLYE!" She called, it must be time! They would get ready and go back to Aisha in preparation for their new born's arrival. She had to get the baby bag. She sqauwked excitedly for Kellye. He came crashing around too and they mad scrambled for all the things they had had ready in wait for months now. She had never sewed little kids clothes so fast in all her life, she wondered if they would get a girl or a boy. She would not have had even a shot at a boy if she had not fell in love with this man.
Zuella gave the runner juice and they did indeed say that their bloom was ready and that they had better come least they miss it.
It was customary to get there a few days ahead of time if you didn't always belong at the tree like most of the sisters. She had always been a bit of a happy rebel at the best of times and time was not aiding in that area she was becoming more stubborn even. Oh what a happy day!

He gathered the needful at top speed and soon enough they were both ready to go and at least half looking like they knew what they were getting into. When they returned to this house it would be with a child. He placed a kiss on the door frame to bless the house until their return with the fruit of their true love.
It was safe to say he was a very happy man as their moccassin feet hit the trail to get to where they were going. These were his favorite kind of travel shoe, they let your foot flex a bit so they didn't get so sore like with some shoes. Though long hours you would feel the bottom of your feet but they had some time to get there that was the whole point of getting warning. He was so happy at the chance to go back, he wished to thank Aisha from a small safe distance for her blessing. The best blessing, he was a DAD! He barely heled himself back from clapping his hands. She looked just as bouyant as he felt.

She felt better, like her steps were getting lighter, once they were on the road. She was striding quickly with him to their fate. They might have to invest in mounts later if they were faster for things such as this and taking their little one to the healer fast if they ever needed to. She was overwhelmed with the emotion coursing through her and vibrating, had to pause by the side of the road and throw up. This was crazy but she had never cared about something so much in her life and she wanted to be there now, Kellye was keeping up to her but she felt sorry for his much shorter stride. He made up for it with determination and speed though boy had good stamina, good genetics, she had obviously chosen well, even Aisha thought so. She sniggered to herself, careful for him not to overhear her mild giggling.
He was her love, her handsome prince, her night in Zenan armor. Her Kellye. "Hurry hurry!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming," He smiled at her bobbing back as she powered herself up a hill. It was a good thing he lead a physical life, he would dare other males to try and keep up with her. She was a down right monster on the path with that ground eating stride. He could not complain about the view though. He smiled. He would follow her to the end of the earth and keep up, he had pride after all.
She was amazing. And more importantly all his. Gone were the days were he felt he had no one, not even on Ushiwa's darn ranch did he feel like he wasn't alone in some way, but here tucked away in Jauhar's deep jungle. He had found his heart, or rather she had found him. Now they were on a quest to see an ancient goddess again and receive a child. He would get to hold his child in his arms for the first time. He couldn't wait. Who's eyes would they get or would it be a mix? Either way they would be perfect! His love, his life, his family, his child, their child. The thoughts kept coursing through his mind.

Eventually she did indeed get tired, it was a rather long way and she could only powerhouse for so many hours. They broke and made camp and all but fell into their tents. There was still the boat ride too at the end of this path to get out to the island but at least that wasn't running or swimming. She cleaned up and enfolded herself in a blanket on the outskirts of the campfire while Kellye whipped something up for them to eat. She watched him carefully, the bend and sway of his motions and how the light caught his face when he wasn't looking at her and she realized exactly how enamoured she was with this wonderful male. She was so very happy she had put the effort in to save the poor sick earthlings life, little had she knowns she held the ember of the core of a forest fire of a man that would bless her with his faith, his fish and his dna now.
She handed him a muffin, a fruity thing that she made special for him. "I had these done before you got back from fishing, it would have been a shame." She knew how he liked to eat while cooking dinner on days like this when he needed the extra calories to keep up with her.

He gratefully accepted the treat and continued to prepare the food and eat the snack. It was just the boost he needed to get the rest of the stuff done. He was going to sleep deeply tonight he was sure, despite the excitement she had fully played him out with her madness to get there faster than tendaji possible.
She was so powerful, it was quite attractive but she better be prepared to coddle him tonight and go a might slower tomorrow until his muscles warmed up to the crazy exercise.
Kellye whistled cheerfully and got the food on the boil. They had made really good time even if he was paying for it now. He made sure to stretch while the food was cooking. "You really can move you know I would hate to be an opposing army trying to outrun you." He winked at her. She had been staring off into nothing again and he wanted to snap her out of it. She was being far too serious. there was no need to worry now, the baby had been granted by the big mother tree.

She smiled at him, coming back to the present from deep thoughts and he was right they were not worth her time. Mostly worries that had not come to pass.
"I'm alright love, I will be better with some sleep," She set up camp while he finished the cooking. She always felt better when the blankies and ultimate comfort were ready to go at night time. She was a full grown warrior and she was nothing without her blankets. They were home no matter where she and Kellye found themselves. His fishing boats cabin was lined with the multipatterned beauty of his woman's handiwork. Zuella was proud of them all, each she had woven a little piece of her heart into and in her bag she carried a very very special blanket for the new baby to be clothed in once they bloomed and were released from Aisha's care into hers and Kellye's. Their baby was coming home soon and she was so happy. She patted the bag with the blanket. She had not shown her mate yet, she wanted that to be a surprise too.

They ate, did a little star watching by the fire, before calling it in early, they were both exhausted from racing each other to their mutual destination.
He tangled his hands in her dreds and she wrapped her arms around his torso, holding him close. This was love. The best feeling in the world. He fell asleep with a huge smile on his face. Today had been a great day, tomorrow would be a better one, one step closer to their new child. He still was in shock, delighted shock, he wondered when it would actually hit him. Maybe when he held their child, maybe then, when he looked into a mix of their features at long last.
He had to admit this whole mother tree thing was pretty cool. It sure beat regular labour from what he heard. Aisha was such a blessing. They dreamed together there in the travel tent. Of small feet, and small noses, of an interesting mix of features, a hybrid of their love, the perfect child. He was so happy. They slept deeply and long thank the gods. He was so tired.

They awoke and ate a hurried breakfast of biscuits and jam before harring off down the road again, they made it to the boats in no time and got passage across to Chibale. It was good to be coming home, her heart was always light when she came home, it had been a good childhood here among these ancient trees and its women tribe. Her tribe. Though Kellye was hers as well.
She was going home to her Mother and nothing would deter her. The boat could roll over and they would swim it, nothing would prevent them from reaching that most precious bloom. It would have parents, parents like her poor mate had missed out on, he had had to become an adult very early. She got to remind him how to have fun. They played small games on the way and she didn't push quite so fast, he was limping nearly and she figured he must have pulled something yesterday and didn't feel it until today. Either that or he had charlie horsed. Poor male, he did not complain though, he was too tough for that. He wanted to get there too.
