Coffee sucked a**. Iced, it sucked. Frothed, it sucked. Sugared up like it was a toddler hopped up on jolly ranchers? Still sucked! All of it sucked a**, and Theo was 99% certain his little cat Chip thought the same exact thing! So the reason why the kitten was so obsessed with making the 'perfect cup of coffee' was entirely lost on him. How could you even say it was a good coffee when you yourself think every cup tastes like dirt? He supposed it was for that very reason why he was out on this chilly November day going to go get a cup of joe at random cafe number 17. He didn't even bother to look at the name when he walked in. The sign said coffee while he was wandering around the city, so he figured, hey, why not? What was the worst that could happen? Spit it out like he had the last 16? .... Theo really didn't want to get banned from another place so soon so he'd atleast buy like, a muffin or something. Hard to ******** up a muffin, right? So he stepped through the door, and hoped to god it wasn't something too hipster.

Sometimes Holland wished he could just go one day at work without getting his hair ruffled, some old lady doting on him, or god forbid some one with a damned shota complex asking for his number on a napkin [granted he did take some of those offers, he was well aware he had needs] or giving him theirs. His co-worker Daisy was forever entertained by this growing issue. "Oh c'mon Holland! That ninety-year old was a ******** cougar and you know it! Did you see the look she was giving you?" The poor guy had to suppress a shudder, giving Daisy the most disgusted look he could muster. "Gross! Really?!" Daisy was about to give the short guy a hug when the bell chimed, signaling a customer. "Hey welcome to Barstucks! What can we get ya?!" Holland was glad the person that walked in looked like they were around his height and wanted to be anywhere but where he was currently at. Good, not a grandma, not a creeper, just a....Grump? Something like that? Eh, he was just glad that this was some one different.

Luckily for Holland, Theo was neither a shota-loving weirdo nor a lil ol' lady who liked pinching cheeks. Nah, he was just a twenty-something who was bundled up behind a scarf, hair hidden under a beanie and... Kinda looked like he stepped out of a 90's magazine. What could he say? He loved the fashion, and thanks to K-Pop, alot of it was coming back in style. He wouldn't say he flinched exactly at being greeted, but he certainly didn't like it. That wasn't the barista's fault though. And it was kinda dead in here a little bit, so maybe he could actually figure something out. "Uh.. Hi. I don't really know what I want, sorry. I don't like coffee, but I'm trying to figure something out that kinda doesn't taste like s**t, so... Do you have a coffee drink for someone who thinks cold brew tastes like mud?" He made a quick glance at the hot food menu, then also made a little head nudge towards it. "Maybe one of the uh... Hot sandwiches too? I dunno, whatever is easiest to make? And a cake pop?"

Daisy smiled, turning to look at Holland, "Well I'm the coffee expert, this little one is the food expert. Ill see what I can do about that coffee, Holland here can walk ya through the menu." Holland rolled his eyes, swatting at the hand in his hair. " Anyways...." He gave their customer a polite smile, desperately trying to keep his eye from twitching at the mention of a cake pop....And not just any cake pop....A got damned vanilla flavored one. Granted neither Daisy or the customer knew of the trouble he got himself into a couple nights back so he couldn't afford to be snippy with either of them. "Ill get you that cake pop. As for sandwiches...Are you okay with meat or would you like a substitute?" He didn't want to assume the guy was vegan, but he looked so small. Holland was short but he did have some meat to his bones, and this poor guy had almost none it seemed. Maybe he should sneak an extra sandwich and cake pop in free of charge? He supposed he could try, just had to make sure the cameras didn't catch him. Geezus, first he breaks into a candy shop now he's trying to sneak extra food to a stranger? Clearly Holland was in a weird mood......

"Thanks..." He had seen this before, coworkers friendly with one another. How interesting to watch. Nothing Theo had the desire to participate in himself, but he wouldn't mind just watching the chaos from the side, as long as he wasn't being incredibly creepy off the bat. If he wanted weird s**t, he could go that ******** up little 7-11 that Morgan worked at. But this placed seemed like, 40% more classy than that. After that night with the Basic Senshi and the candy shop, Theo found himself with a little taste for it. Chocolate, he got sick of fast, so the Vanilla left a little impression on him, as did the senshi who was so eager to prove a point. "I'm fine with meat, no allergies or anything. As long as it's hot, I'm good. I'm not expecting some goddamn fine dining, you know? Most of these sandwiches come prepacked, don't they? Nuking something even half way decent is good enough for me." The lighting in here was a little bad, his one good eye squinting a bit at the menu more, but not making out much. ... He wouldn't be surprised if he needed glasses at this point, but he already looked like a ******** messed up loser with the eye patch. No need to make himself stand out any more. "... Sorry if the request is weird, I just really don't have any feelings on it. Sampling things more for a friend than for myself."

Holland tilted his head a little. Why would the request be weird? He simply chuckled, looking through their menu to find something pretty tasty. There was a couple of experimental things that their boss was trying to put out so he could start out with that instead of the standard. "Alright, no worries trust me its definitely not the weirdest thing I've heard since working here." He almost shuddered, looking through their fridge to find what he was looking for. To be honest he was going to have to make this from scratch but he didn't mind. "It'll be a moment, would you like to take a seat?" He was already getting the ingredients ready, nervous even though he's had plenty of practice making this particular sandwich with his boss this was only the third time he was making it for a customer. No complaints so far, but things could change. While Holland was working on the sandwich[es] Daisy started prep work on a special brew for their new guest While he said it didn't have to be anything fancy, their boss expected nothing but the best from the both of them in customer service, cleaning, and food prep. This was something they happily conformed to, working for Ms. Hyun-Jung was a delight, rare now a days....Especially in the cafe scene. Daisy looked over her shoulder, "Coffee will be ready in just a second~"

"On the one hand, good, on the other hand, I bet you've heard some really rough s**t. That bites, man, I'm sorry." Not that he was talking too much s**t himself just yet, but he could just imagine it, especially given how many times he stalked those very same assholes and drained them dry of energy and robbing them blind. With a nod though, and a little wave of his hand, he made his way to a table, then paused for a second, turning back on his heel. "Wait, Aren't I supposed to pay for things before I wander away? Or is this place fancier than that?" Looking around, it didn't seem like it was a counter service kinda place. But he could be wrong.

Holland shook his head, "You can come pay when everything is ready, no rush." Its not that they were all fancy, the food would be placed on the counter once its done cooking and then he could come pay for it. No use sitting at the counter while it took a minute for the food to be ready. Besides, he had to sneak in that second sandwich anyway and another cake pop. If Ms. Hyun-Jung saw how small the other man? boy? was then he was sure she would understand rather than give him the disappointed grandma talk about giving away money. Daisy came around to set the completed coffee on the counter just as Holland grabbed the bag containing the two sandwiches and cake pops. Hopefully he wouldn't take notice of the double offerings till he was out of the building, otherwise Daisy would tease him and he wasn't sure if he could handle that right now when he was just trying to be nice. Daisy scanned the code for coffee, a sandwich, and the cake pop, giving the gentleman a total of 14.60. "Is that going to be cash, credit or digital wallet?" She pointed to the icon for wireless tapping.

"Ah, gotcha." It would be lesw awkward if he could pay then just vibe elsewhere. But if they wanted him to wait... Well, he would. A few texts were sent to Chip about how there might be a finally good taste of coffee somewhere around here. From whatever the barista was doing behind the counter, it certainly looked... Unique? Soon enough he was called up again, and pulled out his phone to pay. "Gpay, please." ... This looked alot more than just a sandwich and a cake pop. A curious glance was shot up at Holland, eyebrow raised. "... You sure about all of this?" His wallet payment was already being scanned though. Who was he to deny a free snack?

Holland tried not to look like he got caught, eyes widening juuuuust a margin. Daisy got the register ready for the Gpay. "Sure about what we gave you? Definitely! Me and Holland usually order this all the time, I cannot recommend it enough~" There was a nice bleep sound, signifying that the payment has been taken. Holland almost let out a sigh of relief, thankful Daisy misinterpreted his question. When her back was turned he simply put his finger to his lips. Hopefully that extra food would help put a little bit of meat on his bones. "Enjoy! Stop by whenever you can to let us know how everything tasted~ Hopefully we made doesn't taste gross. If so just let us know and we can always try something else off of the menu for you to try." Daisy turned to face the gentleman with a kind smile, "Yep! We'll just let the boss lady know and she'll take care of ya! Oh! Sorry I meant to ask earlier when prepping your coffee: What is your name?" Usually she writes it on a nice sticker, but it seems like she placed the sticker and forgot the name. Holland looked to Daisy with a raised eyebrow, she never forgets to put the customers name down....Eh, first time for everything. He was also kind of curious about the man's name as well.

Oh. Maybe he said too much. He didn't want to get the other person in trouble. Even with one eye he could tell that something shifted in the short worker's gaze. That little gesture with his finger didn't help. But... Theo did offer a small smile in response, the first one he had since coming into this place. Some would say it made him look less like an ugly little Sphinx cat, and maybe a slightly more cute Ukrainian Levkoy. Just a little bit. But not by much. "I haven't eaten in a hot second, so I guess it looks like alot. But seriously, thanks. And Uh, It's Theo." A quite one-eyed squint was made at the name tags. "Daisy, Holland. You guys are awesome. Seriously, thanks."
