She was on yet another boring patrol with only herself for company. They didn't care as much about what happened this far from the Mother Tree on the mainland. She anticipated that it was going to be a hard watch to stay awake in. Though she enjoyed travelling alone. It was fall, a beautiful refreshing time of year. The trees didn't drop their leaves but they got a little break in the hot temperatures at least. She was poking along a trail, when she noticed rather odd footprints, a child or an earthling, the feet were small. Maybe a child needed her help? It was her duty to find out. she started tracking the other person. Noticing the uneven footfalls.
He guest was weak, maybe they had been lost for a while. She hurried forward. Determined to help if she could. She approached a thick thicket and hear a cough. Ill then. Slowly she came forward, staying hidden in the shrubbery.

He had perhaps gone a bit too far into Jauhar without an escort. He was not a ranger sadly and his sense of direction on land was somewhat less than exemplary. Not only that but he had caught some sort of cold or flu and it wracked his body. He thought he had a fever too. His body didn't feel right. He was in deep trouble and no one knew he was here. Sae was going to kick his butt, no doubt. Well if he lived that long. Unless he got out of here soon, he might be in deep kaka. Low that Jauhar would get him. Jungles were so savage, so dangerous. Tricky and consequential like the sea. His true love. Oh to see the water again. He started describing the water in mutters. Bright, shimmering, ripples, great gray crashing waves.
He wasn't sure what he said aloud and what were just thoughts floating across his consciousness. Experimentally he called for help. It sounded a bit like a moan but it would have to do.

Well, she couldn't hold back if he was broadcasting for help, however weakly, stubborn male to wait so long, not that he knew she was there but that was besides the point. She cautiously rounded the tree trunk to see a sad iceling looking quite sick, and not at all with it, curled up on a pile leaves you poor soul, she murmured, stay here. She bustled the boat and made him a tea. Step one to feeling slightly better there were always time for tea. She prepared the tea and got him to drink it slowly. The warmth would help. She scooped him up and ran him back to her cabin. She stoked the fire and tucked him into the bed. This cabin was one of her favorite places,sturdy, serviceable and cozy. It was not too shabby with soft patterned blankets in tan, brown and light blue. They were terribly soft and she hoped it brought his poor self some comfort. He shivered, fighting the fever. She watched as he moved the blankets up and down as his body fought the symptoms. At least it didn't look like a food poisoning situation.

She had fed him tea, it warmed him from the inside out. And from there she carried him to what looked like a cabin and talked to him into a very alkidike decorated, colored and patterned bed. He wasn't completely conscious for at least part of the time, but he felt oddly safe. An Angel of Aisha had him in her long, capable fingers. She was awfully gentle and smiled at him sweetly. She was a lovely lady.
Eventually he lost consciousness, fighting the fever. He woke in flashes and starts plagued by dreams and nightmares. Dreams of the family he had lost so long ago, dreams of his current family with the Ninyelt clan , dreams as a pirate crew member, dreams eventually of his rescuer in fields and forests. The last were rather nice as they kept each other company and talked and talked in those dreams.

The next day after spending the night comforting and chatting with the delirious males. She now could sort of piece together his story. His fever finally broke. She was grateful, from his mutters he had been through quite a bit. He looked young though it was hard to tell for her. Earthling things were hard for her to understand. She tilt her head from where she sat by the bed to sew another blanket. It was a hobby of hers, it kept her hands busy and brought her some coin. She put it down and ran a hand over his proud forehead he was warm in temperature but no longer hot and he no longer was kicking his blankets off. She's moved her hand back over his forehead because she could, brushing a gentle thumb over his beard, all male, they were so different. Who grew their hair out of their face. She was fascinated. He was very handsome or at least she thought so. She wasn't sure if he was by Earthling standards

He woke eventually, parched and begging for water. Having sweated out the fever the night before. He was weak but feeling mildly better than he had been. "Thank you", he was so parched, his lips dry. Her presence had made all the difference in more ways than one. He felt very slightly rejuvenated, at least he was no longer alone. He thought he remembered a gentle hand smoothing his hair back and he looked curiously at her. Had it been a dream? Perhaps, probably. He was pretty sure she had kissed him in one of his fever dreams. Alas, there was no way to tell he was certainly wasn't going to ask the lady who had just saved him from certain death. His eyes flew open and he again looked upon his rescuer. Yes, just as beautiful in real life as his dream. But her dream self had had similar markings to another alk he knew, this ladies were quite different, he liked it .

She gave him a very wise look and look down into his face. His eyes were so bright like wild citrine's. He really was beautiful. If only her fellow warriors could see her now, holed up with and tending a handsome ice earthling of all people. Some would have been jealous, some would be shocked but she herself was fascinated. He was so very blue.
"And just what were you doing around here? Greenling?" she very gently chided him. He was very lucky that nothing hungry had come around. She fed him again. Slowly bit by bit they got to know more about each other. She told him about how she had grown up around the Great Mother Tree Aisha. With her family war party that she had been destined to be inducted to since birth. However, she was doing her own thing now for change. She preferred to be a wild and free sort of Aishan warrior, respecting and loving Aisha from a slight distance.

"I was foolish to come without a proper guide and it's more difficult to navigate here and then I thought it was, I caught ill and was unable to move and you found me."
He bowed his head. "My mistake." Though he was very very glad that she had found him He was feeling weak again, his eyes closed on their own accord. "I'm sorry, I..." and that was all he got out before passing out entirely. The fever had begun to make its way back with a vengeance and he shivered in his sleep. Who knew when he would wake now, it was back to fever dreams, The good, the bad and the ugly of dreams. It was not restful rest he was currently getting. Dreams of the ocean swallowing the ship he was on and it tried to pull them down as well. After he couldn't breathe, he twitched and fidgeted than flailed as panic took hold. He was so cold, he muttered about it.

She came back from getting a few supplies to find her earthling flailing about on the bed, looking quite wretched. She felt for him. She put the herbs and mushrooms down and set about making the room warmer. Then she had to do the best thing for victims of cold, she crawled into the bed, wrapping his arms with hers. That way he would not fail or fall off the bed and her warmth, would do even more good. He must have caught something impressive, silly earthling. He had been a fool to challenge Jauhar alone without training or escort. Yes, quite foolish indeed. She looked down at him, he was much smaller than her, but built muscly so different than the sisters and the female earthlings. His face was more rugged and more masculine she guessed she laid her head behind his and closed her eyes, hoping that her soothing vibes would help him.

His muscles began to unclench as her body heat soothed him, this was much better. He was no longer drowning in his dream he felt warm, safe, comforted somehow. He wasn't alone, not alone. He had been alone for so long. He rather thought that the company could be part of the dream and if so he didn't want to wake from that dream. Instead, he turned in the lady alk's arms, seeing her with his yellow eyes when they cracked open, yet he still thought she was he was dreaming. He wrapped his arms around her and relaxed there , falling back asleep more swift than a radaku could run. He took a deep breath in and scented fresh air, trees and the faintest hint of lime, all comforting scents, her natural perfume, no doubt. Whatever soap she used was good. He tried to think of the last time he felt this way, and it was back when the theif group was together, since then he hadn't been really close to anyone and it had been a somewhat lonely existence.

She stared a little bit as he turned to wrap his arms around her and sleep. Poor thing so cute. Maybe he had a girlfriend and that was who he thought she was. She herself had no one yet. She bet the girl who owned his heart was beautiful. If you didn't see the twin slivers of gold as he looked at her before relaxing back to sleep, she to relaxed but for an entirely different reason. She thought that it would be nice to have a family one day, but had no more prospects. She was lonely. Maybe she would start to go to the dating events after she put her new friend back on his feet. She hoped he was a nice person and that she hadn't saved a thug or brigand. He never could tell about people and she hadn't gotten all the information out of him yet. Looking at his face in sleep one would think he could do no wrong, but one could never tell about people could they. She had so far been quite lucky not to meet anyone really unpleasant.

He woke slowly, more comfortable than he had been in years. He moved slightly inside the blankie bundle. This was pure bliss. He felt like he had suddenly gotten a vitamin he had been missing from his diet. He blinked his eyes to slits from closed, fighting sleep. It was difficult and he wasn't quite sure he wanted to wake. He had been having lovely gentle..cuddly dreams. A woman... a beautiful woman had appeared to him. She had been tall and yellow skinned...
He blinked and opened his eyes a little wider, to see a beautiful alkidike's face before him. "So you were not a dream." He flexed his fingers experimentally and found out that he had wrapped himself around said woman like a wanton octopus. His eyes widened and paniced. She would probably freak out if she woke up but if he moved, he might wake her. His heart pounded away like a herd of racing Xaraan. What should he do?

She too felt un-alone in the first time in forever. She had her family, yes, but she hadn't seen much of them since she started to do a lot more solo missions, that were more offbeat perhaps than her simple but powerful battle unit wanted to deal with. But that were in fact right up her alley. She could defend herself well enough if need be. Her half asleep thoughts drifted more to the present. She opened her great black bug lady eyes to see huge paniced yellow orbs. "Don't panic. We didn't do anything but keep each other warm and you were flailing about too and I was worried you're gonna fall off the bed." She unwound her own arm slightly self consciously. And it felt a little too nice to hold and be held for a change. "I am sorry." She looked down. He was so pretty. It was hard to look at him for too long. His eyes reminded her of the moon but in gold, blazing there out of the soft blue of his face. She had always liked earthling coloration, they were so varied.

Oh, well, so long as she wasn't panicking. He looked sheepish. "No, I should be apologizing to you. You were just trying to help and I wrapped around you like a cephalopod."
He blushed deeply. "I was asleep." He had thought it was a dream. But he never would have snuggled her had he known he had not been dreaming. Hopefully she did not think him a cad. He looked at her downturned face and something more brave and daring took a hold of him and he reached his hand when he should have leapt out of the bed to protect her reputation. He brought up her chin looked into her eyes. "None of that. It was by no means your fault. I care more about your reputation than my own." He said honestly. She was who mattered. She had saved him after all. He would be delighted to be associated with her but it had to be her decision. She had listened stalwartly to all of his stories.

She felt tingles all over her skin at his touch, more too as their gazes met. It was like that cosmic moment and all of her mother's romance books when she had read on the slide. Perhaps perhaps there was potential here. This was the first time she had felt anything like that and she wasn't exactly sure what it felt like. Kind of like electricity. It was exciting, if terrifying. Though she could not think of what to say and instead just looked at him her mind for once quite blank. Then she stretched her whole body in her morning bed limber up habit. She didn't even think it was so ingrained in her to get all her muscles online quickly a Warrior's Way. She didn't even know what her little iceling did for a living. "Does your job have a boss who's going to freak out? I could let them know your situation by courier if you like. " She knew that earthlings tended to freak out about stuff like that, she supposed her people freaked out about similar matters if others were forced to wait too long for work to be done, or if you were not pulling your weight in camp or in the war party.
