Name: Fatima
Race: Fire
Gender: Female
3 Base Traits: Quick-tempered, Dutiful, Sentimental
Personality: Fatima is a proper young lady, even if her mother would roll her eyes and politely disagree. Raised in nobility, she flourished under the riches and wealth her family lavished upon her, though her... temperament sometimes left something to be desired. Fatima is poised, polite, and well-mannered - but is unable to handle slights with grace, and is wont to raise her voice and lose all sense of decorum when pushed.
She is well read and learned, with a good head for maths and people management. Her business acumen is as sharp as her brother's, but she inherited her father's short-sightedness and less than desirable level of empathy ("The calculations show if we raise rent for this property, we'll have no losses despite lower harvests this year. How is them starving MY fault??")
Despite her learning, Fatima herself is far from ambitious, and is more sentimental and romantic. True, she could grow up to be a shrewd noblelady of business alongside her brother, but she is a fan of romantic stories and plays and so prospect of a riveting romance and marrying is far more appealing to her.

History: The Murinus family is one of nobility, dated back centuries throughout the history of Oba. Their family wealth and nobility came from their trade and production of dyes, both harvested from the sea and grown on their vast parcels of land. Patrons of the arts, paints and clothing dye produced by their family were, once, expensive and highly sought after by royals and nobility alike. They were a family tied to the old ways, yet as time passed their influence has begun to wane, and in modern times while they keep their generational wealth and noble status, the trade of their goods has sharply declined.
The final nail in the coffin for their relevance came when Matori earned its independence; suddenly, the Murinus family land and dye production was less lucrative due to having to ... actually pay their workers.
Lord Hamza Murinus was a judicious man, and during his time as lord he quickly shifted the image of his family; what once was a name built on the back of Matori slaves, was now an ardent sympathizer (and landlord) who rented out pieces of land in order to not uproot families. ... As long as they continued the work that land, of course, for room, and board, and a meager wage. ... Understandably, among the nobility seeking true reform he earned himself no allies, and among the common folk he was despised. He died of... health complications in his prime, leaving behind four children and a widow.
The new Lord Brahim Murinus was prudent and calculating, as any good Oban noble should be, and though only a young man in his mid twenties, he is more acutely aware of the social mood of Oba and the world at large; and has sought to make true, lasting alliances, while turning the public perception of his family around.
This is where Fatima comes in. As the second daughter, she is looking for a suitable groom to marry, among other ladylike pursuits.
