(( takes place upon arrival back in Destiny City from this ))If there was one thing that Illyria wanted more than anything as the opalescent light faded around her form, it was to simply run back towards Orah's place and lose herself in the warmth that was afforded to her via the largest & warmest blanket she could find. If it happened to be one that sat on someone's bed or couch well that would be okay. Although she did have her own warm comforter that she could dive into and make biscuits on before going down for the world's longest cat nap.
But first things first. The aura of the chaos senshi that she'd been trapped in the gameboard dimension with was still near her side and it had become clear to her as soon as she had reached the end platform that her skills of recognizance were still working ... as she knew this one. He'd once tried, in her eyes that is, to steal Ida away from her. They hadn't been bonded yet at the time but there was no mistaking it that Illyria had seen Ida as a senshi that she'd stick close to ... in good times and bad. So for him to have tried taking her away, well that was unforgivable.
Her fur had settled on the journey back, but once again she felt it rise and fluff out once more as she idly tried to claw at the senshi's leg ... her version of getting his attention, it a not so pleasant way. She was cautious though not to draw blood.

"Ohmygawhd--what a nightmare!" huffed and puffed like wind from a tightly squeezed bellows, there was the urge to up and flee to hearth and home all lit up and cozy and waiting for him! To be done with 'senshi-ing' for the night and take a well deserved bath--he caught his breath gazing at the stars wanting for the focus to pull that kinda energy on and get the hell gone--- and then there was the feel of Nightmare on Elmstreet claws snagging at his pants and Albite squealed-- "Yaaaah!!" it was undignified to be so distracted as to not notice the wayward cat wandering his direction, magical little thing with aura aplenty! And there he was jumping outta his skin and giving up his ninth life for the feel of 'please god no' claws! And then he was gobsmacked by another sudden reminder--- THE GIRL!There had been a girl trapped along with him in that nasty game-space and with all the flashing lights and being shunted outta the board he couldn't remember for the life of himself if she'd made it that last final step or not! "H-eeeeeyyyy there kippn! Didja...d'you....Call me crazy but have you seen a girl anywhere around here? Yea' big, order type, sassy attitude, likes to use people as bridges...." There had been a girl there before for sure, his mind was insistent on it but his heart had questions because he knew that game board played tricks aplenty on alllll a persons senses! He couldn't help but look around, head a swivel of where, for, whys, desperate and eager to see some fleeting shape or form--But no, there was just this orderly little cat trying to cut his leg off from the ankle up -- devious and dangerous little thing!! He made sure to look back to the kitten just as quickly, just in case! Though his heart sank some to think he'd left a whole nother person behind back there...

Did she see a girl? That was the first question that was asked of her. That hadn't been what she was expecting. Illyria snorted softly before retracting her claws to peer up with closer scrutiny at this known senshi and sighed. Yeah, she knew where the girl had gone. She'd gone the way of the cold
dip in the frigid waters and then the almost last minute chase of canid-like animals. That's where she had gone. Was it fair that she wanted to string along this man? Did he deserve to think that he had left someone behind?
Backing up so that there was room between them Illyria gave a low hiss before speaking, "Yep. I saw someone like that. Seemingly fell through some thin ice or something before getting chased by something else when she managed to get out of the water. Since then though, nope, no sighting."
Even though it physically made her skin crawl a little, knowing how close this individual had come in stealing something that was hers, Illyria sidled forward before plopping her drenched fur self into the senshi's lap. Would he put two and two together in order to get four? Would he finally realize who she was?
Wet fur smell would cling to the senshi even as she considering clawing at his bare chest. Maybe it'd make someone else jealous. One tiny claw did come out to score a thin red line down the bare chest of the corrupt before she mentally chided herself. Distance would need to be had soon but there was a tiny little vicious thrill in the fact that she'd surprise this senshi good and proper if her little clues went unnoticed.

His face ran through a bevy of emotions rapid-fire, on automatic; fell, brightened, and then he winced. The itty bitty kippn cat seemed angry and ohgod claws, there were claws, those were sharp!!! Why were cats always so damn sharp!? "Oh-kay---but she's alow've! Ahhh -- h-heyyy!!"Playfully sharp, but also not. The edge of a threat sat there between them and though she was cutest only one step beneath Haymitch; his most favored baby bonded! She was still a very cute cat! A familiarish cat even, with fur, and whiskers, andddd---And suddenly he remembered that the cat sitting atop him was of the Order variety, that the Mau, with her bright little forehead star and pretty rainbow dressage was not, in fact, an everyday average normal type feline! That they were almost, sorta, kindaaaah -- technically enemies. If he squinted wrong and tilted his head just so, if he took that hiss and the fact that he was now soaked in the kind of scent that would get him hissed at by his own team for daaaysss once he got back home to them. That would turn Cerbs to pecking sense back into his skull because *this was the enemy*!Right?! "Do I---Do I uhmm--wow this is awkward as ********," and he still asn't sure where to put his hands, to get them covered in wet shed, or risk loosing a finger by daring to move the threat poised right over his heart. "Do we know each other? Like--call me crazy, but I'm getting this itching feeling that I might--just-- know you?" It was the purple--the color not unlike Mizuki's lilacs, the one that made him think of princesses and a good hunt across several cracked rooftops. "Wait--wait! You're oleander! Right?" he tried for thoguht even as he flailed for thought on the edges of the stress of survival, the dying high that followed said surviving. He knew it'd been some kind of flower, hadn't it? Illyria couldn't help the smirk that flashed across her face, turning a feline grin into something just a little more sinister as she continued to wriggle around freely in the corrupt senshi's lap before she almost swore she could hear the gears turning in the young man's mind as he began to put together pieces of a puzzle, albeit a little slowly before she gave the softest of cattish trills. Oh he was getting rather close to her identity it sounded like. Gently, and with claws retracted, no longer dangerous, did Illyria bat at the finger that moved to try to reposition the claw that had been over the location where a heart would be. The butchering of her name though did have Illyria flatten her ears at the man before giving out a drawn out hiss of annoyance.
"Yes, we've seen each other before. I wasn't exactly happy with you back then. And none of those suggestions are really close to who I am."
Nimbly she reached up her paw to pat, claws still sheathed, at Albite's face before emphasising each syllable of her name slowly as a paw touch to Albite's chin, as if teaching a young child the correct way to pronounce a name, "Il-lyr-ri-a. Say it with me now, Illyria."
As soon as she gave her name out Illyria gave a soft meow before staring at Albite intently. Would he at least say her name correctly after this? Her fur bristled a little before settling down and she fought the urge to simply flee the encounter but she was still recuperating from the pocket dimension again. At least this time she'd not been alone ... but having this particular individual along for the ride, had it made it worse, or better. Either way as long as they weren't fighting, perhaps it was okay to steal the warmth from Albite.

The cat noises caught him so far off guard, made him think of Beans back home, or Haymitch on one of his more kitten-like days. Maybe even distantly of Tama, though the white, bobtailed floof of a Mau was so much more often a 'Man' in his mind than he was any average cat! But this was no average cat--- beneath the soft as butter toe-beans and raised fur and hiss of distaste. She was some Senshis companion, a magical ball of mischief and phenomenally mysterious powers all combined! She was a Mau, and as Albite mouthed the letters and sounded the word all the way out -- everything oh so softly clicked into place. A distant rooftop, a sea of petals, Ida was the Senshi! The Princess--- but Illyria? Illyria was the cat who'd shifted into being before his eyes, come outta nowhere in order to aid her side against a whole host of foes! " Il-ly-ri-a---" slow as the pieces slotting into place, slow like how his smile spreading, full of wonderment. The lightbulb finally coming on. How he'd ******** failed to remember her from before? It was absolutely beyond him! He'd blame the residual trauma of the dice room, put all his money on some mild concussion or the symptoms of such a thing malingering long after the game had come to an end. "Oh s**t, you're the kippn!! Kitten--Ca- Mau! Would you lookit that? You look so big all -- uhm -- up close n personal. So close. So personal." How could he not laugh, the way she looked like she was ready to flay him into tiny strips and dress him down at the same moment, all bristled and narrow eyed -- but also warm -- and he hoped he wouldn't lose the fingers of the hand he dared to pet her upraised fur with, as if attempting to smooth out the tension his utterly rude lapse of thinking had caused. "You wouldn't've had any reason to be happy with me back then, would you? N y'don't exactly seem any happier with me now, huh Illyria?" he could imagine why she'd not been, they'd been in the mix of it, he'd hardly seen her jump into the fray before they were all jumping right the heck out of it. He had seen her go for Ida though, all protective claws n magic brought to bear. Such a cute, startling little pwoerhouse! "S'been a rough night in general? Or m'I just the kinda guy that ruffles your fur on sight? M'not even up to no good this time! Triple cross my heart with cat claws n hope to die if m'lyin--"

That being said though Illyria's fur flattened on its own accord as she allowed Albite's hand to gently stroke down her back. It wasn't really kosher to allow the corrupt to be able to pet her without losing a pint of blood in return but Illyria was allowing herself to slip just this once.
"You, and your friends, tried to take something away from me. A dear friend if you will. Think about it: if someone tried to do the same to you, would you have been happy with the outcome? Would you not have fought tooth and nail to keep them safe? That's what I was trying to do when we first met."
As Albite sounded out her name correctly Illyria began the softest of pleased purrs, the sound echoing over the silence that had settled around the pair of them. She was still extremely tense just given whose lap she was currently sitting in, but for now ... there was just the smallest lapse in her concentration. A human lap, even one belonging to a corrupt senshi, was warm. She craved that warmth now even as a rogue shiver overtook her form. Damn that icy plunge and not having the time to warm up afterwards. Being wet and cold really sucked. Her gaze travelled to lock onto Albite's expression before she gently kneaded at his legs again, claws sheathed as to not cause anymore damage.

He would've been lying to say he blamed her, a hypocrite of the worst kind, and he often tried not to be that, not ever, when he could help it. And he could certainly help it here, doing his very human best to be gentle and rub some of that pervasive cold out of her too wet fur-- The hell she'd gotten halfway soaked anyhow? Not that he was one to judge! Covered in god knows what from gods knew which inter-dimensional void that nasty dice board and it's twisted games existed in. "People have tried little kit..ah.. Illyria," Tried n succeeded as often as they've tried and failed--" he hummed as the purring eased some of the stiffness in his bones, a tiny heated motor going off, leeching out the tension of moments ago. Even if Illyria felt stiff as a bowling ball, he didn't mind the moment at all, the kneading paws, the deep purr. It was almost healing in some ways, despite all the strangeness of the situation -- of the last indeterminable time full of fleeing and nonsense -- the strangeness of now; half splayed out on the sidewalk looking half dead and an enemy cat in his lap for all the world to see. Not that he ever had enough thoughts in his head to devote to caring about what the world saw, that would've taken precious, precious time, bandwidths of brain energy! Things he hardly had to spare when his thoughts were all 'cat', and 'pet', and 'warm'. When Illyria was making points he couldn't help but nod along to. "So nawh, I don't blame you for wanting to take my head off with your very sharp tooths n even sharper nails--" offered in a conspiratorial whisper, as if he was divulging a deep secretive truth, instead of something so very obvious. "S'not a mark on me that I haven't earned for myself, one way or another. Including yours. Though? I bet you a bucket-fulla catnip my baby bonded is gonna be right ******** pissed with me coming home smelling like you..." he sighed thinking of Haymitch, of Tama, of Beans! He longed for a bath to warm his bones-- Looked at her beneath his heavy lashes and made one more ask edged with a smile. He didn't expect an answer any more than he expected her to stay put forever, but it never hurt to try! "Is this special friend someone I should know?"

Illyria hadn't lost her wits completely. She knew that she was risking things by staying as long as she was in Albite's lap but the feeling of being petted was soothing and it was having the intended effect of warming up just a little bit easier. However the encounter would soon have to end. It was end the encounter or risk further unpleasantness if the corrupt senshi came to his senses. Given the fact that so far nothing had happened, Illyria had to wonder just how cognizant the other was of the fact that he had a prized opportunity just sitting in his lap. A small mirthful chuckle shook her tiny body before she peered up at Albite with violet eyes a gleaming shade of mischief.
"Oh you, I'm sure you'll find a way to rid yourself of wet cat smell before you go home this evening," she chuckled softly again before rolling over to lay on her back to bring her paws into play as she gently swatted at his fingers once more before she abruptly caught one with a claw that had accidentally popped out. The sensation would have been akin to being jabbed abruptly with a quick poke of a needle, unpleasant, but over quite shortly after experiencing the initial jab.
Had she meant to do that? To give him one more little mark of her that he couldn't explain away. Illyria didn't know but she still needed to answer his last question with a reply and instead of giving up a name, like he might have expected, Illyria instead gave an innocent sounding meow before grinning, "you might know, but on the other hand, you might not. You've met them so it's possible."
With that said Illyria slowly extricated herself from Albite's lap before giving the senshi a hard stare. Her gaze took in everything about him in what seemed like a long, long second before she abruptly fled into the shadows that would effectively see her disappear.

The dangers of cat belly, the ultimate trap! All that soft expanse---if only one could've overcome the dangerous claws that guarded it by wiggling his fingers between small swipes, laughing for it all the while; a huffed chuckle, warm and deep. He realized today would not be that day-- He thought Illyria was a sweetheart though, for giving him so much credit. And hey! Maybe she was right!? Maybe he'd puzzle things together someday! No cat deserved to exist without a Senshi after all, and knowing she might have had one to go to made him happy enough just then. That it was beyond time he left too-- tefla A lovely lovely fin! Thank you for the patience and the fun time!
