Mechelen knew that she had to go up to her Wonder at some point. If only to get her signet ring, as Halle had talked about and shown her how useful it could be…but. For some reason she still just had cold feet.

Perhaps it just…was the fact that she was having to go up to Space alone...it just…felt daunting. Horribly daunting and she wasn’t sure she could do it…but.

But it had to be done, and unpleasant things always had to be done…and the sooner she did it…the better off she’d be. Hopefully though…hopefully it wouldn’t be as bad as she was fearing, but for some reason…there was nothing but trepidation at the thought…still.

Mechelen gave a sigh and drew in a breath, holding it for ten seconds and then slowly releasing it as she softly murmured. “I pledge my life and loyalty to Lysithea, and to Mechelen.
I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine.”

Her eyes were closed, and the only reason she knew that something had worked was from the change of temperature…and the sudden, uncomfortable silence.

Opening her eyes, she found herself inside of a large brick building that had seen better days. The walls were stable, and the windows seemed…in tact too, but the place was a mess. Dust covered the floor well over an inch thick, and everything inside looked broken and just…old.

She supposed it made sense…if this was someplace that hadn’t been touched for a thousand years or…or whatever…of course it would be out of sorts and…gross.

A broom would be…a good start to work on fixing this place up. Cleaning it…oh…oh she could have parties in here…The room was large and looked just perfect for dancing.

Mechelen didn’t know how to dance, but she always had enjoyed the idea of it. Watching movies where there were fancy parties and balls, the idea of dancing with partners was just…enchanting. Maybe it would be nice to clean this place up…and then she could host dances. She’d have to take some lessons though but…that honestly didn’t sound so bad when she thought about it…and there had to be ballroom dancing available somewhere in the city…

Jason would most likely go with her if she asked…she was going to his sketchy fighting class so…maybe she could get him to go to a respectable dancing class…and if he wouldn’t…there was Lena! She seemed very princess like and maybe…maybe Tilly could talk her into coming to a dance class…

Either way. She didn’t want to go alone and…there were friends who would go with her and that…felt really nice. There was a smile on Mechelen’s face as she moved to the next room. It was smaller, more intimate, but didn’t look…like there was much function to it. There were some shelves along the walls that were empty…well. Filled with dust and dirt, but empty of anything important, and the shelves themselves were in bad shape, clearly falling down. There were a few chairs in the room too, but they looked as though they had seen better days too…honestly, she didn’t trust that sitting on one wouldn’t result in her ending up on a pile of rubble on the floor…but.

They were pretty. Or…must have been pretty before. The fabric was faded and worn but she could see it had been very fine. A light purple damask. Mechelen wasn’t sure she was ready to start restoring chairs or shelves…but…maybe that would be something that Jason could help with. He was a boy and had to be handy.

That was terribly sexist of her, and she knew that but…hey. He always assumed that she was a certain way because she was a girl, so why shouldn’t she think the same in reverse about her friend? It only made sense. It made sense, but it wasn’t right...but…what he didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him…at least not right now…and if she never let him know that he was being kept around for ‘manly’ things like fixing broken things…there would be no harm done.

Making her way into the next room, she was surprised and looked around. This was clearly a bedroom…or…had been a bedroom. Again, there was a lot of cleaning to be done, but the amount of light coming in through the large windows made this place seem like it had a lot of potential and…well? Mechelen liked that.

The room was spacious too, and there was a large fireplace in the wall…it would be cozy and she wondered if it got cold up here on Lysithea…she assumed that she was on Lysithea…she had gone to Neptune with Pendour so…the same must have been true for this…but.

Mechelen knew next to nothing about her Princess? The Moon or the Senshi that the Princess was of…she supposed that others must know something but…thus far…

Nobody had…so…

Maybe that was a good goal to have. Figure out who Lysithea was…or had been and just what kind of a place the Moon was. The only solid detail that Mechelen did know was that Lysithea was one of the moons of Jupiter so…

That was cool.

Her eyes roamed around the room and landed on a desk against the wall next to the fireplace and Mechelen walked over, seeing a small box in the shape of a unicorn head laying atop of a piece of folded old parchment.

Carefully, she opened the box and saw what must be the ring that Halle had spoken of. She slipped it on her finger and admired it for a moment before looking at the parchment with a slight frown. There were two words written in faded ink. Good luck..

Clearly…it was a message from someone…but she wasn’t sure who…and the fact that there was a message left for her, coupled with how silent everything was…made her not really want to stick around any longer.

Swiftly, she pulled a piece of paper and pen from her subspace pocket and scribbled a note to Halle, just a simple. I did it!, and then folded it and wrote his name on the outside, before pressing her ring into it.

…It did just as he had described and vanished.

…Well. Good. Mission accomplished.

Mechelen sneezed twice and then vanished from her wonder, appearing back in the City right where she had left from, and with a pleased, proud smile, she made her way home.
