The lights in the arena dim down as Ain't About the Money hits the PA.
Ahhhh, ahhhh
Ahhhh, ahhhh
blue and white lights begin to flash while a thin layer of smoke comes across the stage and down the ramp. Flames spring up along the set and the crowd's reaction is mixed, though the boos seem to drown out whatever cheers remain.
If you know like I know say
Ain't about the money, it's about the power (say)
Ain't about the money, it's about the power (you know like I know say)
Ain't about the money, it's about the power (say)
Ain't about the money, it's about the power
An opening appears in the stage and this time, a larger platform rises up, revealing not only the champion, but theformer WWFG tag team champions, the Syndicate and their manager, Adrian Amaya. The reaction is much louder now, definitely all boos. The three remain on the stage, the champion holding the title belt on his shoulder.
Think about it, think about it
Ain't no need to think about it
Get that Money, keep that power
No they not the same thing
Money can be anybody
This somebody, that nobody
When it comes to power
Circle, super small and maintain
Money make em' do it cause of what you give to em'
Power make em' do it cause you told them to do it
Money make you fly, power never die, don't know why
Money can be lost, power never need an alibi
Blood thicker than the champagne
Power in my pride, power in my last name
As the chorus hits again, Drako steps forward to lead the way down the ramp to the ring.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Syndicate!!"
All three men stop at the end of the extremely long ramp and look around the arena for a few more moments before Drako turns and walks up the stairs and into the ring, taking the championship back in hand as he does. He walks across the ring and steps onto the bottom rope, one foot on the second rope as he raises the title to the loudly booing fans. He steps down and walks to the opposite side to do the same.
When I'm in your presence you can feel the power
Even if this company was built from powder
Girls, kissin, on the couch, women, in the, shower
Surround, myself with kings, you can keep the cowards
Everytime I reminisce, I'm reppin' different bitches
Blood is thicker than water but BS is the thickest
Let the chain round my neck tell my life story
Born into the money but would die for glory
Get ready for the takeover, that face, lip and makeover
That case, that I break open, that great fifth like Beethoven
If you, wanna get it poppin', I can be in the team
Thirty-four, in a, rocket cause Hakeem's the dream
(Get it? They don't get it)
Drako steps down and signals to the boys to enter the ring. Both step up onto the apron and through the ropes to enter the ring. Adrian makes his way in behind them, a bit less noticeably but there all the same
Oooh, we're makin' moves
You're only doing what my power let you do
You see that money isn't everybody's thing
When it comes to power, can only be one king
The song goes back into the hook as Marcus takes up a position on Drako's right and Blaze to his left. Adrian takes up a mic and hands it to the champion.
"Let's get a few things out of the way. First and foremost, I had a couple challenges sent my way. I'm going to make it short and simple for both of you. No."
Some boos ring out at this.
"I could leave it at that, but I'll make it a bit clearer. First, I'm not engaging in anything that should be Salem's problem. I'm the kid's godfather, not her legal guardian being that both of her parents are still breathing. The fact that I have to explain that is disturbing. To the other, in case you missed it, the only chance anyone got to jump the line, they backed out of it. You aren't the number one contender, Avari is. So as fun as it would be to kick Bison's teeth down his throat again, nope, not happening. Got a problem? Blame the last person I arrranged a free title shot for that chose not to do it. Furthermore, I'm already contracted for a match tonight against a mystery opponent that no one in management will confirm. I'm busy and focused on my upcoming scheduled matches."
Drako takes a pause to let that sink in, but there's more to address.
"Now, last week, one could say, I had some free therapy. The one blemish on my record this entire title reign was a fluke loss to Nuke Fusion, and last week, that was avenged. I left Nuke in a puddle of his own blood, on my own. There's no asterik beside it. I busted him open and left. That's done. But let's address what everyone else here wants."
Drako raises the championship belt.
"Let's talk about the reasonneveryone should be here. To hold this, the World Heavyweight championship. This championship, with a history of being held by legends and icons. From the likes of John Cena and Edge to my Summerslam opponet, Cyrus Leone, and owner of this company, Cartwright. There's the first woman to ever hold it, Christina Parks, as well as the likes of Harli Drummond, GBL, Freakshow, and even Hiro who at one time knew how to win a match. This title has been held by two of us bearing the name of Dragons and the entire pantheon of wrestling Gods, including Chrono Clepsysdra, Matt Shanahan, and Nuke Fusion."
JR: That is an accurate history of the WWFG World Heavyweight championship, though he can't name all the names right here.
King: Shhh, JR, there's a point to this.
"This title has been held by some many legends, icons, hall of famers, mythical entities and gods that it has gone beyond being the Holy Grail of wrestling. This, ladies and gentlemen, is Divinity itself. This is the true "God" of wrestling here today, and I'm the man holding it. I'm the man who has beaten back every challenge for over a year. My reign has apparently been so dominant that I'm not only getting called out by folks on this roster, but by the guys over in CWF. This is the belt to win, the top of the food chain, and to win it at this point is to touch divinity. Now, that brings me to the more important issues to address here tonight."
Drako turns to his nephew and son.
"Tonight, my boys get their rematch for the tag team titles. Not against the Savage Sons, but we take what we can get. They've been training and it's time to take back what they shouldn't have lost at Summerslam anyway. And they're facing a couple of my old foes in First Class. Their orders are clear, go out there and handle business, bring home the gold. I have all the confidence in both of them."
The boys both nod in agreement. Drako turns back to the crowd.
"That leaves me to address Survivor Series. Avari Fusion is coming for the gold. Now, I'm sure plenty of you would expect me to come out here and run the kid down. Instead, I'm going to break it down a different way. I said earlier to win this is now to touch Divinity, to obtain the God of all wrestling belts. You ought to be familiar with the divine concept. After all, your father calls himself a god, the Nuclear God. But more than that, I know you're coming with all the fire and angst you can muster because I put your dad in the hospital. Probably not too happy that I busted him open against at Cyber Sunday, but blame the powers that be for the match stipulation. I'm aware of the animosity here. But let me be clear. I haven't held this championship this long without pissing people off. You can get as upset as you like, but if that's all you come to me with, Survivor Series is going to be a rough night at the office. As personal as this is for you, it's that much more for me."
Drako leans on the ropes and drapes the title over it.
"Aside from the fact that your dad pisses me off more than almost anyone short of Cartwright, this title and this reign is personal to me. This is the family business, the goal we strive for, and that makes it personal to me as the guy at the head of the family. Some could argue that I could retire today and my legacy would be set, and they may be right, but I'm not satisfied yet. I'm coming into Surivor Series with every bit of the intensity I've had this entire reign. Because this belongs to me and come what will, rain, storm, screwjob attempts, or injuries, you're in for the biggest fight of your life, kid. Now, I don't know if you're going to be here tonight or if you took the night off to get focused on this title match, either way doesn't bother me. Just make sure you're completely focused on what this match is about or I'll be walking out of Survivor Series the same way I walked in, holding this here 'God'."
Drako raises the title again to accentuate his point. With that, he drops the mic and let's his music hit as he leads the way out of the ring
