The sprawl of the city had felt familiar the first time Hestia had seen it, and the feeling had only increased with time. it could be said that senshi and the ruins of ancient towns and cities were part and parcel. Where there was one, they were innately linked with the other. But even if it gave her a familiar feeling, it was still a new place for Hestia, and she'd only just barely scratched the surface of its twists and turns. And here it was, after one such little turn, she found another corrupt senshi, holding and twisting their tablet in minute ways. It took a long, quiet moment to realize they had been taking a picture. "Oh! I suppose it could be considered a little bit lovely," Hestia said, answering the question she hadn't asked out loud. Whenever Strix turned to look at the speaker, they'd find a petite maid-looking senshi, almost their height, and bearing a huge jack-o-lantern. The light coming from its grinning leer casting dramatic shadows over both of them.

Pax didn't spend all that much time in this place, really. Not compared to other places they might've spent their time in a day-to-day world. It wasn't that they didn't like Negaspace - it was fine! - but it was hard to make their way here, and they didn't exactly like talking to other people most of the time to ask for things as specific as transportation, so as it went they mostly only ended up wandering the halls as a byproduct of being brought along for... something or other. Most of the time the meetings weren't relevant to them; they didn't have any great ambitions, they weren't all that interested in fighting, and they definitely weren't about to backstab anyone in the Negaverse.
That wasn't a matter of morals, or anything stupid and petty like that. It was just a matter of practicality. They weren't sure they'd exactly have the guts to murder anyone violently, or that they could physically overpower anyone - okay, yeah, they probably could, but they didn't want to test it - and they didn't exactly understand why you'd want to backstab anyone regardless. It just seemed like a total mess and way too much effort for no reward, betraying people; and Pax was aware enough this was probably Just A Them Thing, the way a lot of the ways they understood the world were, but it'd worked well enough and gotten them this far, and they only got side-eyes for it on the rare occasion they actually had to put it to words. Which meant it wasn't obvious that there was something Weird about their feelings on the matter, not unless they made their feelings explicit and impossible to ignore, and honestly that was pretty good! They'd had much worse. The way other people understood how to interact with other people was so complicated, always and ever, when being straightforward was so easy and so uncomplicated.
But the fact of the matter was that they were only here rarely. And it was kind of a shame! It was so unlike anything they'd ever seen, especially out here, and there never really seemed to be anyone around. Which was nice, because it let them explore and take photos in peace, but on some level it felt like more people should see this. Not that other people would even care, probably, because most people didn't even look at the world to see what parts of it deserved to be remembered in one way or another -
Pax was so absorbed in trying to get the angle right that they didn't notice the other senshi, not until she spoke, and startled in a way not totally unlike a wild horse. It was embarrassing, they'd barely managed not swinging around to hit her, and they clenched their fingers around their tablet as tight as they could not to drop it like they'd almost just done. "Not lovely," they corrected her, voice thankfully not cracking, "just - just memorable. Deserves to be - to be remembered. Nobody's ever looking at it."

Oh, she'd startled them. "I'm very sorry to have so abruptly disrupted you." She considered their answer and then looked down at the jack-o-lantern her arms. "Do you think this might...ruin the scenery, then?" After placing a holiday wreath on Faustite's door, she'd felt that it also needed a pumpkin of some sort for company. But only having one decorated porch in the derelict city had looked very... lonely. And so other doorsteps and street corners, long abandoned, had ended up with a bit of seasonal decor. The end result of her daily fussing was a sort of neighborhood forming around the general King's house. An outward bit of pleasant, counter to the inward disaster occurring daily within.

She didn't need to be apologizing. Why was she apologizing? Weird. Pax took the pumpkin into consideration, deliberated for a long moment, and offered up a "Nah."
Pause.
"Could use the addition."
