Elzira's illness brought many great things to Tendaji. It brought two warring sisterhoods together; it brought the knowledge of a greater sisterhood with roots across Tendaji. So when Azehra and Esena began to show signs of decay, excitement and anticipation began to spread through the Vandrea and Elidae communities. It may have been a little early, but the signs were still clear. Both trees were beginning to go through the same puberty that brought hybrid blooms to both Aisha and Elzira.
When the time came, the mystics of each sisterhood gathered their communities together at the base of their trees, their cries of joy and celebration filling the air as the first flower bloomed. And then another. And another.
Curiously, each tree seemed to explode in flowers across their leaves, a sight never before seen by the elders and mystics. The air became heavy with the scent of floral blooms, and the sisterhoods rejoiced as their Great Mothers became a symbol of health and prosperity for future generations.
[ News has spread that the Vandrea and Elidae trees have matured! For some, this is a symbol of great health, while others are hesitant at the idea of such young trees taking on the burden of blooming Earthling hybrids. This prompt should include your character reacting to the news of the trees.
This prompt is only available to Aishans AND earthlings directly impacted by this news - i.e. an Earthling partner of a Vandrea/Elidae finding out they have the opportunity to seek a hybrid blessing from the tree. ]
Aishan Tree Update!
|| Azehra and Esena are now strong enough to bloom Aishan/Earthling hybrids! || All Aishan DNA will be converted to appropriate Aishan for the tree.
Enya 1
The day the visitor came both Enya and Vetra had been there to greet her. A fellow Elidae, one who had come to visit with her grandmother, and who brought news from Kiros! Esena had started to change, just like Elzira before her, and that could mean only one thing! Hybrids. Both Enya and Vetra had celebrated with their Sister Elidae, three little pale souls among a sea of darkened Elaria, and a part of Enya's soul lifted. They stayed up late into the night, giddy beyond belief at how much their goddess had grown, while words of cautious filtered in from the Elaria.
Some were pleased, happily boasting that the little Elidae were now finally as strong as the Elaria they hailed from, while others were less than pleased. What would this mean? What was the point in having roots across the world if they were still going to mingle with earthlings? And could the new trees truly sustain that?
It was late and their Elidae friend had long since gone. Instead of retiring themselves, the two had found their way to a nice space under the moonlight, just outside of Zinris for a little chat. Enya sat atop a low hanging branch, her long legs swaying beneath her. "Is it wonderful, Vetra? I just wish we were home right now."

Vetra 1
And whose fault is it that we're not?
Vetra, on the other hand, was leaning against the base of the tree. In one hand she held Enya's trident and in the other the whetstone she was using to sharpen it. "Why? So you could see the blooms with your own eyes?" Vetra snorted. "I'm glad Esena's strength is growing, but if you want to see hybrids just walk around, Enya. There's plenty enough of them here without touching the islands." She didn't understand that part of Enya's excitement. They'd gone back and forth on it ever since seeing their first hybrid in Zinris. Neither of them saw themselves as parents to an earthlings child, but Enya found the idea fascinating. Vetra, on the other hand, found it repulsing.
"I can't imagine what sort of Sister would be crazy enough to bring an earthling back home to try, anyway. Or do you think they would try with a Kahi?" If they had a child with a Menehune it could have antennae and whiskers everywhere.

Seiong had tried to go to bed early, but her mind was spinning with the news she had overheard that day. Azehra and Esena were growing so that they, like Aisha and Elzira, could support the blooming of hybrids. She held mixed feelings about the whole situation, and the uncertainty was keeping her awake. Eventually, she gave in and went for a walk. With the moonlight gently illuminating her path, she was able to make her way fairly easily around the grounds.
Just beyond the edge, she looked up with surprise at a pair of voices filtering through the trees. Considering how aggressive many of the Elaria had proven to be, she approached cautiously. She could just see them through the trees. One had a scary looking trident! Maybe she shouldn't even try- A stick snapped under her foot and she froze with concern. "H-hello," she quickly stuttered out to announce herself.

Enya 2
Enya was the first to catch sight of the 'intruder', but instead of shooing her off she curiously motioned her closer. "Can't sleep?" The Elidae offered a soft smile as she adjusted her position atop her branch. Seeing a Vandrea was still something new to her, but while the novelty of it wasn't lost there were bigger concerns.
"I'm Enya, by the way, and this lug," She stretched a hand down to flick Vetra's antennae, "is Vetra. We were just talking about the big news."

Vetra 2
While her companion was much more welcoming, Vetra kept a closer eye on the Vandrea. She kept up her work with the trident, passively passing the whetstone over each sharpened edge with a crafter's eye. From what she'd heard of their cousins these were the acceptable offspring of Aisha - the ones that had been 'sanctioned' or something to that effect before going off on their own. Which, in Vetra's eyes, made them weaker. The Elaria were born of a righteous, if misguided, fury and the Elidae were their successors.
And the Vandrea? They just were.
She was happy to stay quiet until she felt her antennae move and her scowl deepened. With a huff, Vetra looked up to Enya before turning toward the other woman, "What do you make of it?"

Now that she was being waved forward, she could see that neither of the two were Elarians at all! Were those the Elidae? How curious. While the one seemed welcoming enough, Seiong remained wary of the impressive woman with the big weapon... "I- actually, yeah. I'm still not used to sleeping here, I suppose." She probably never would, either! Not that she would be there for much longer, if she could help it. "My name's Seiong."
It didn't take a genius to know what big news Enya was referring to. "Yes, it really is big news. I think it's part of why I'm still awake." Her hand rose to rub at her neck as she considered her answer. "I'm still absorbing it. Is it possible to be both excited and.. not?"

"I understand that far too well." Enya shifted on her perch with an empathetic sigh. "It's something about the air here. It feels too cold and almost like if I close my eyes somethings going to drag me away." There was a certain level of mysticism that clouded the area, but Enya always worried about going too far out of her way to explore it. What if she never made it back?
"I think so? I'm excited because that means Esena has grown, but it also makes me wonder about what else is about to happen."

"If you mean hybrids then just say it." Vetra grumbled and tilted her head upward to look at Enya. "It happened first with Aisha, then Elzira and now it's likely that by the time we get back there will already be some in bloom." If there were Elidae older then them that had started to venture out into the world then it was likely they'd found lovers already. Wouldn't that just be the next step? Especially if there was nothing stopping them now?
Lowering her head, she briefly looking at Seiong before turning her attention back to the trident. "I just hope they're being cautious."

Drag her away... Seiong felt a tremble go along her back. That was certainly a valid concern here, in her opinion! She'd already learned that one had to be quite cautious here; especially when one was considered different.
Enya's reassurance helped Seiong to relax slightly. Vetra seemed to be much more forward about the subject.. it was just short of abrasive, but she found it a relief to just have the words out there. "Yes... Hybrids. I suppose it was only natural that they follow the same path as the other goddesses. It.." she looked between the pair and shrank the slightest bit with concern, "it makes me wonder how the teachings of our elders can be so different from the allowances of the goddesses themselves."

Why did she have to be like that? It was one thing to be honest, but Vetra came across like sand on a fresh burn sometimes. She couldn't help giving a huff at her friend, even more so when the other Elidae was completely unphased by it. "I think it's a matter of strength and unity," And before Vetra could cut her off, Enya added, "We're stronger because we're bigger and training comes naturally to us. They're smaller, but no less capable and maybe that's a good thing. I still don't care for the idea of us mixing so casually now, but....Well, the world's still going, isn't it? It can't be all bad."
Even Pyrrha, her more lax mother, held a certain view of earthlings. She treated them as one would a pet. Loved them, cared for them, would never intentionally hurt one, but they were always lesser creatures. Maybe it was how she'd been raised, maybe it was a darker side to the eccentric Elarian, but Enya tended to think the same.

Vetra clucked her tongue. There was so much about what Enya was saying that she didn't agree with in the slightest, but she had already pressed her luck with the other Elidae. So, for a while she was content with working on the prongs of her trident, making sure each tip was as sharp as possible while keeping her mouth shut.
And, well, that lasted all of a few minutes.
"Peace can be achieved without diluting our blood." And this time, when Enya tried to interrupt her she held up a hand. "We were on good terms with them before this, or do you think that kinship is only achieved through offspring? I'm not insinuating that we should go to war with them again, but I do think that the Alkidike have gotten...lax with who they allow to visit Aisha. The earthlings should be vetted, that's all." Strength for strength. Love was fleeting and pointless if it produced sub-par children that fainted at the sight of blood.

Seeing that a deep conversation was on hand, Seiong approached a little closer and found a fallen trunk to perch upon. It was too bad her duruf had been so contently sleeping. Her precious pet's presence would have been a welcome comfort. As she looked between the two Elidae, she felt her belly clench with emotion. "Unity doesn't come from lineage," she said softly. "Blood, diluted or otherwise, can be the strongest force in the world. It can also be the greatest weakness, tearing sisters apart like snapping fingers." Seiong had faced the brunt of criticism from many of her sisters more than enough times to know that being a full blooded Vandrea made no difference. She looked up, blushed, and lowered her face a little. "The goddesses are the ones who decide who is worthy of their blooms, so there must be some reason for it being possible."

Vetra ll 5
Choosing not to respond for the moment, the more traditional of the two Elidae turned her gaze toward the Vandrea. She didn't exude the same sort of confidence that so many of their sisterhoods walked in, which made her wonder if she was speaking about the new possible hybrids or herself.
Saying that she didn't agree with the others statement would be as much as kicking the same argument around so Vetra just snorted and went back to sharpening Enya's trident.

Vetra's stubbed up attitude just brought out a sigh from Enya. She cared for the other Elidae, really she did, but she could be so frustrating.
So, instead of giving into it, she shifted her posture on the tree branch. Once she was comfortable enough, Enya locked her legs and swung down so that she was hanging upside down. She gave the Vandrea her best smile, hoping to mitigate the situation a bit. "Maybe we can just focus on the positives for now? Like how it brought all of us here to talk." She shifted her head just enough so that her necklace wasn't laying directly across her face. "It's a rough enough adjustment being in a new place, much less when you get news like this. So, how about we look out for each other for a while, huh? Adjust to it together? At least while we're here."

Coming here wasn't turning out to be such a positive for Seiong. She kept her face down at first, hoping she hadn't already messed up yet another new meeting. The offer that followed up sent a prickle of hope through her chest though. She took a deep breath and raised her face back up with a little smile. "I would appreciate that very much." She spared a glance at the more intimidating of the two strangers to see her reaction, but her gaze quickly returned to the more relaxed of the two. "You said 'while we're here.' Will you be around for much longer?"
