The thin strands of webbing are surprisingly resilient and can be difficult to break, but that’s to be expected when you’ve got the charm of Destiny City’s unnatural wildlife. At least you’re not dealing with the car sized spiders of a few years ago. While the webs appear with great frequency all over the city, it can be difficult to see the spiders themselves. They are about an inch long at their largest, but even if they were smaller, it wouldn’t matter. They are almost completely invisible. When on their webs, they look like morning dew. When on you? Same thing. Thankfully, these spiders seem to want to keep to themselves, but it’s hard to do that when you can’t see them. If agitated, the spiders will bite. Being bitten can cause nausea, dizziness, fatigue and hallucinations. These symptoms can begin immediately after being bitten or can manifest up to a few hours after the toxins are introduced to the bloodstream. These symptoms may only last for a few hours—or up to a few days. No medicine seems to help this ailment, so you’re stuck weathering this one out on your own. It was that time of year again, the time where all of the creepy stuff started to happen around Destiny City. Arseno had mostly been cooped inside a the hospital taking care of paperwork, but even he had been able to see all of the tiny webs popping up and about around the city. He knew that Benitoite wouldn't like them and sometimes he wondered just how well the other General was faring when it came to the 8 legged arachnids that counted the webs as their home. He assumed it was going okay as he hadn't received a call from the General. Yet. Tonight that had been broken however and he had gone to meet the other outside of the hospital in an area that was less well-lit than the rest of the outside. After all, they did have overnight patients. He sighed as he made his way to the back, wondering what exactly Beni wanted to talk to him about. If it was about the spiders he wasn't sure how much he could do other than numb Beni's entire body and blindfold him. Soon enough he found the other and sent a wave his way. "Hey, good to see you Beni." He managed to stifle a yawn. It had been another busy day and he was ready to go straight to bed as soon as he got back to the apartment.

If he didn't have school, and nighttime duties, he would have locked himself in his home for the whole of ctober in order to avoid whatever eight legged nightmares the city might conjure up. Normal spiders were bad enough, he didn't care how useful they were, he wouldn't mind seeing them all die out. But he would never get so lucky, a shame really, he would continue to have to suffer them and this year seemed no different from other years of the past.
Webs all over the city were cropping up, though it didn't seem like massive giant spiders this year, it seemed that these spiders would at least be of a normal average size. It was the best he could hope for, or so he figured.
Looking up at the other he held out the drink he'd brought with him, an offering for the other. "Caffine?" It might be a drink from a local coffee shop, a really good one, but it was caffine more importantly. "These new spiders...have people been coming in from bites?" He questioned whilst sipping his own hot drink, which smelled rather fruity and a lot like espresso as well. "I've heard they are tiny and I'd like to be prepared..." And maybe find a way to sleep and not spend half the night up worrying about them, and looking around like he was paranoid. He couldn't help it though - they were really and they might just get him.

Arseno was lucky to have his mask around his face because a small grimace definitely crossed it when Beni asked his question. He knew just how awful the spiders around here could be, and with a fear of even normal spiders, well magical spiders were even worse. He did however, nod and take the drink from the other General. "As much as I wish I could say that they haven't, they have. Nothing we can do for them. But there are symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and hallucinations. I haven't seen a lot, only a few cases, but if you do get bitten by one I would suggest staying home and sleeping."He shook his head. "I wish I could give you better news about them, but I don't want to lie about it either. What I can tell you is none of our patients have been bitten inside of their homes. And they're certainly less plentiful than brown recluse bites." Considering the latter were actually known to go and bite other people, compared to spiders that only bit out of defensiveness, he much preferred the magical ones. "No huge ones either." He swirled his drink around a little, before pulling down his mask and taking a sip. "Do you need any anti-anxiety medicine or anything? I could help you get some. Or help you with your draining if you feel the need for company." There wasn't anything to be ashamed of asking for help when it came to fears and well, in Destiny City, a fear of spiders was well founded.

"I'll keep that in mind. I think one year, maybe it was last year, the spiders would cause coldness that didn't leave for a while." He was certain he remembered that, as well as being bundled up in his bed to handle the cold, he really didn't spiders but these magical ones were worse. He just worried about using anything to try and keep them from his home, since there were animals living in his home, he didn't like the idea of spraying things in his house. He was tempted though, he was very tempted to do whatever it took short of setting his home on fire, to deal with the spiders this year. He was not having another year of them.
"That's at least a plus for me. I also heard they were very small..." Which if they were small, too small to see, he might be in some luck. If he couldn't see them he would be good - he could function. "No ones been bitten inside their home...." That was a tempting idea; very tempting. The idea of staying indoors for the remainder of the fall, or at least until the spiders retreated, was a very nice idea. He wouldn't need to do much and his family would understand, seeing as his whole family knew of his spider issue, they would understand when he missed high tea for a while.
"I might prefer sleep medication, just so I'm not looking around my room like a paranoid person, waiting for them to come and get me. Going out to gether energy together would be nice though, I always appreciate the company, it gets boring at times." When there were no knights or senshi to be found it got especially boring.

"I would hate that." Arseno said as he took another sip of his drink. If there was one temperature he hated, it was the cold. So not being able to get rid of it would basically be torture to him. He nodded at Beni. "Yes, they're practically invisible. You have to be looking for them basically. Which is much preferable to some of the regular ones we have." He wasn't afraid of all spiders, but when there was a brown recluse headed his way the size of a quarter, a small scream may escape his lips before smashing it into oblivion with a slipper. "I'll write something for you then. I know they have over-the-counter, but this should help a little." At least Beni could use it as an excuse at his job if need be. "I know I need to go out more as well. I'm either holed up here in my office at the hospital, my apartment, or the lab in the bottom floors of the castle." Unless it was to feed Ödön he didn't find himself wanting to go out and drain energy. Couldn't all of the lieutenants and Captains just do it and leave the Generals to come up with more ways to advance the Negaverse? Or their own goals. He sighed. "At least I haven't heard anything crazy going on this time. Better than the past few years."

For him, who was phobic of spiders, it was good that he couldn't see them unless he actually looked for them. It meant he wouldn't wind up having panic attacks frequently because he could only guess these spiders were everywhere, their webs certainly were. If he couldn't see them he was better off at least.
"Thanks, and I do understand that. I've been busy with my plants, I have a green hosue now in the castle so I'm working on growing as many as I can for next spring and summer." By then he was hoping to have enough plants that he could plant about the city. He was planning to start a company which would do landscaping and plant them all around, so they could do their job in gathering energy, but until then he was buioding up a supply of plants to use.
"That is true, this year hasn't been that bad. But the year isn't over yet, we still have winter to come." And he always worried this time of year, because anything could happen, and with two holidays close together it seemed this time of year was worse than the rest of the year. It almost meant no down time between things hitting the fan. "Lets keep our fingers crossed for an easy end to this year."

"Worst time of the year weather wise." Arseno said as he took another sip of the drink in his hand. He did not like the cold. He was very glad to have a girlfriend that didn't mind a large electricity bill in the winter from having the apartment at least 73 degrees at all times. "When you do get to needing to distribute the plants let me know. I'd be willing to help, or at least put a few in the hospital. Especially if they were air-cleaning." Or at least easy to take care of. The spider plants in their apartment hadn't died. Yet. "I'll message you the next time I know I have off. We can go energy draining or just catch up at the castle or whatever then. I've been out of the game for too long and I can't only just show up at the important events." He had felt guilty for doing so, but he knew he was more of a detriment than a help while he had been in medical school. He needed to make progress on his idea as well. He needed to come up with something different. He had made no progress on his starseed experiments, though they had been few. He wasn't sure where to go next, but he wanted it to be helpful to the Negaverse. If he couldn't control others by taking their starseeds out of them and keeping them alive long enough, would have made for great hostage material, then maybe there was something else. "I need to visit the Rift again too." It would be better to have more agents there, but Ödön was always a good companion to have as well. At least he could warn Arseno of any potential danger.

"It is but winter is the most picturesque time of the year." A time of year he had painted a few times, and likely would again come this winter. The snow and how pure it looked against the darker colors all around it. "I will, I'm working on growing enough plants so I hace a supply that can be planted throughout the city. I have a greenhouse now so it's just a matter of growing a supply of plants, of various kinds, that can be planted. I think we're going to start a landscaping company so we can do just that." Though he would, without a doubt, share a few plants with Tom so he could spread them about his job and elsewhere.
Shaking his head at the others words he smiled. "It's fine. Having you as a doctor is important, to the Negaverse and to myself. I want to have the expertise you posess on my team, and serving us, you'll do us a load of good." More than some other officers that was for certain. It was that want for people with certain skill sets which had him considering something else. He wanted a loyal team...and team which had certain skills. he also wanted a team he could work with easily and would work together. He had an idea that he was planning to work on, he just had to figure who he wanted to target for it. The first was Fiona, a cousin of his, because they were so very close.
"We can gather energy together soon, I'd like that, it does get boring after so many nights out alone." He didn't worry one bit about the other being out of the game for a while, he had other things to acomplish, Benitoite knew he was doing other work which was important and would serve them well.
"Oh? A visit to the rift for what? I can assist, I used to spend a good amount of time down there."

Arseno would say that he preferred Spring, but he knew how bad it got for the allergy prone. But he did love all the life that "sprang" back up when Spring came. "It definitely is picturesque. My brother's girlfriend usually half-freezes herself trying to take pictures of the snow before anyone else has stepped in them." He was still close to his brother, though he could feel that the other was hiding something. He wasn't sure what it was, but he was hiding his powered side of course. He supposed they had to grow apart a bit when they grew up. They still talked a lot though and saw each other. And he was certainly glad that they had many more methods of communication to do so. "Thanks, I appreciate it. And I'm glad to have all of that schooling and most of my training. There's still continuing education I'll have to take, but the largest hurdle is over." It was so nice to wake up at a reasonable hour again and go to bed whenever he wanted. And naps. Naps were so much better now that it wasn't hanging over his head to study. There were still nightmares though. He doubted those would leave anytime soon. "Good. I'll send you a message when I'm free then. And it will give me a reason to go out in this weather other than work or having to buy things." He might still build a blanket nest in the middle of the apartment. With cats continually taking them, one could never have enough. He nodded. "Yes... I'm going to see if there's something else there I can find for what I want to do. I couldn't find a way to control people like I wanted, though that was more of a secondary goal. I was looking to see if we could learn how to separate starseeds like Corrupts can. I thought it would have been valuable but I've gotten nowhere. So I wanted to try something else that could be beneficial to the Negaverse. I'm hoping the Rift will have something besides dangerous Youma."

"I would do similar if I could." He knew how the cold affected him though and wasn't about to freeze himself that badly, especially for some pictures. He could, and had, painted winter scenes before and he was likely to again this year. He'd see thing and snap pictures as he went abotu his day, and night, and do as best he could to recreate them.
Laughing at the others words he couldn't help it, he was smiling up at the other. "There will always be new studies, new treatments, and other new things to learn about. I suppose it's a good thing, it keeps it from getting boring, if medicine never evolved and new things never came about." Rolling his eyes as if to say what he thought of such stagnation, such lack of growth. He knew someone else who would have said more, been more to the point than himself, Lorcan was a rather blunt person but he was a doctor and knew a good amoutn on it and was always learning more. It's how Alexandre knew that the learning never ended.
"I'll await your message then. And as for the Rift...I used to spend a lot of time there but I know a General who spends more time than I ever did down there. Perhaps you should reach out to General Chalcanthite. He's one I've known for a while. While he has no taste for killing, or other things he does know the rift." He wasn't goign to kill or torture someone...nor would he pull a starseed. But the other General spent a lot of time down in the rift, he might be able to help.
"Tell him I sent you, that you're one of mine. He'll help if you want." He didn't warn Tom to keep an eye on the wisp of a General, that he was all height and nothing for size otherwise. He knew Tom would figure him out quickly enough and learn to work with him.

Arseno managed to swallow the rest of the drink that Beni had given him and let out a sigh. "I'll keep those names in mind then." He said, taking out his pen, creating the tablet and quickly writing down the names. He then closed the tablet. Rarely used, but when he remembered the pen it came in handy. "I continue to say and one day I may follow through, but we should meet up more. Specifically in the Negaverse. I've been feeling stagnant." He said, giving the other a grin. "I need to get back into training as well, not that I ever really practiced. Probably why I fumbled so much during that fight with the Velencians and against Order." He hadn't keeled over or anything, but they had been overwhelmed too quickly in his opinion. It was something he needed to fix about himself. He felt a vibration and realized the phone on him was telling him he had a message. Stacey. He quickly put his phone away. "Looks like I'm needed by my girlfriend. I'll talk with you more later. And send those plants by any time they're ready. I'll do my best to make sure they stay alive." He chuckled before putting his mask back on. Less to look mysterious and more to hopefully warm his nose a little. He gave a small wave to Beni before teleporting away. Sleet Tempest Snape end post from me thank you for the rp!
