Quote: Shadow Stalker (1) - You're walking in the dark and soon hear the sound of footsteps following behind you. Every time you turn around, nothing is there. If you try to quicken your pace, the footsteps start running right along with you. No matter how you try to see behind you--if you use your phone camera or if you look in window reflections, you can't see anything...but you know it's getting closer. If you don't run fast enough, you can almost feel a hand on your arm, a breath on your neck... You need to get out of here, fast. If you can. Once you reach your destination and are safely inside, there might be a banging on the doors or windows. The air is heavy, but after a few moments it seems to lift. You have the distinct sensation that something is still out there, though. You just don’t know what.

As Nagome stepped out into the dark, she immediately felt a shiver run down her spine. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around herself, hoping to ward off the ominous presence that seemed to linger in the shadows.
She sighs and looks around her. Destiny City is really beginning to freak her out.
As she walked along the deserted street, Nagome's heart skipped a beat when she heard the faint sound of footsteps behind her. She turned around, expecting to see someone, but there was nothing. Confused, she resumed her pace, only to hear the footsteps pick up speed, mimicking her own.
She stops again and looks behind her. "Hello?"
Hearing nothing she starts to walk again.
Fear began to claw at Nagome's chest, urging her to quicken her steps. But with every increase in speed came the realization that the invisible pursuer matched her pace effortlessly. Panic set in as she desperately searched for a way to see her tormentor.
Frantically, Nagome took out her phone and activated the camera. She turned it towards her back, hoping for a glimpse of the unseen presence. But to her dismay, the screen displayed only darkness. She felt the grip of terror tighten around her as she realized that whatever was following her was beyond the reach of human perception.
Desperate to escape, Nagome glanced at the nearby buildings, hoping to catch a glimpse of her pursuer in the reflective windows. Again, she was met with disappointment. There was no sign of anyone. No trace of the entity that loomed ever closer.
The fact that she was the only person at this time of night was really scaring her. Not another person in sight. Just the footsteps. She didn't know why she decided to leave work at this time of night but might have to change her schedule.
Her destination finally within sight, Nagome pushed herself to sprint towards safety. She could feel the invisible presence closing in. The sound of its footsteps grew louder, echoing in her ears.
Finally reaching her destination, Nagome locked herself inside and leaned against the door to catch her breath. But her momentary relief was shattered when a series of bangs resonated through the house. The forceful pounding on the doors and windows sent chills down her spine.
The air grew heavy, causing Nagome to struggle for breath. She felt a suffocating weight pressing down on her. But slowly, after what seemed like an eternity, the heaviness dissipated. The banging ceased, and a silence settled upon the house.
Although the immediate danger had passed, Nagome couldn't shake the feeling that something was still out there. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as if a watchful eye was fixed upon her.
But what was it? A malevolent spirit? A figment of her imagination? The line between reality and the supernatural blurred, leaving Nagome haunted by the unknown presence that had pursued her in the darkness
Nagome decided that it was too dark and too scary outside to go out and do some patroling. Staying inside seemed like a better idea.
