Ethe was thinking about what Wolframite had shown him. He has not seen a youma like them before. It seemed all youma were unique. Even if Wolframite had some parts in common. Ethe was different. Ethe was fully youma. They had been called words like delightful and beautiful. Ethe had never been called words like that. Words that made them feel good about themselves. Words that made them feel that others liked them, too. Words they made them fell like they weren’t a monster. That they were good. Not bad. Ethe knew also from the half-youma what they would feel going out into the world. It would eventually drain them. They could only exist here for a short time — they were not human, not even half. They were fully youma. And that was something the world did not like. People in the Negaverse would not be afraid of them as long as they behaved, but out here in the world it would be different. Humans would fear them here. For those not touched by Metallia’s Chaos could not see them for any more then the monsters they wanted to see. Out here, there was no Hall of Shadows. No barrier. Nothing to keep youma separate from humans. Nothing to keep humans from harming them. Nothing keeping them from harming humans. Here, in the shadows of the street of Destiny City, they could almost pass as a rather large dog. If only they stayed out of the light. ✧

Meighei The Dogs (3) - Destiny City News reports several sightings of 'rabid dogs' appearing throughout the city. Those interviewed claim that the dogs would surround them and chase them down the streets, seemingly popping in and out of sight until the person finally found themselves in a well lit area. You have the misfortune of running into these same dogs. They cling to the shadows as you go about your way at night. Seemingly at the corner of your vision, one flickers by, and you turn and see nothing. Again and again it happens. They are trying to drive you into the darkest corners of the city, herding you away from the light. In the nearby distance are the lights of the city: streetlights, signs, traffic. You have to do something to get there, to escape these creatures. When you make it to any significant light source, you hear a low growl, a wailing hiss; the dogs have vanished. For now. Wezen was not afraid of the dark. She did not fear anything, except in those moments when some magical force directed her emotions. She would not forget that feeling any time soon, and would be a bit more careful in fights she picked in the future, but that caution did not translate to this evening.
This was not a senshi or an agent of chaos, as far as she knew. This was something else, one of the many strange, unexplained things that happened in this city. On this planet. She did not have dogs on her planet, and the ones she saw here had always been friendly. Especially the little one with the tiny legs at the Library.
Sinistra, behind her, was yelling at her to slow down, that they needed to stop and regroup, but she was not listening. These dogs acted like phantoms, sticking to the dark, and they seemed to be keeping the two senshi away from any large pools of light. Maybe they thought they would have the upper hand in the dark.
Wezen would show them how wrong they were.
She came to an abrupt stop, deciding to not be herded, but rather direct the fight herself. She had her hand raised, ready to call her magic the moment she saw an enemy emerge from the darkness. Sinistra ran up to her, almost crashing into her and clinging to her shoulder. Her hands were tight, but trembling, tugging Wezen down a bit due to the difference in their height.
"Let's get back to a main street!" SInistra suggested, eyes and head darting back and forth as she searched desperately for their pursuers. Above them, a street lamp was struggling to work, flickering but not casting any light. It was the largest gap between lights on this empty street so far, which Sinistra imaged worked in the favor of these shadow dogs.
"No," Wezen answered simply, maintaining her stance.

Ethe prowled through the darkness and shadow. They were learning these streets. After a bit, they almost started to make sense. Almost. When they had been human, these streets had been their home. But no longer. Still, there was something about them that was almost familiar. The flickering street lamps made them feel almost home. They just couldn’t place how or why. When they sensed the aura, it was not entirely foreign either. They knew what Order felt like, knew what it tasted like. But this one was different somehow. For a moment they did not know how. Until they moved separately. There were two. Well, they themselves had two mouths, after all. “Dual flame!”And fire shot from the darkness, one at each senshi. Lithiasaur Magical Ability: Dual Flame. Ethe can fire flames out of each mouth. The right flame produces a burning sensation upon contact akin to being burned by fire and the left flame produces a caustic sensation upon contact akin to being burned by acid. The sensation lasts half a minute. Each can be launched twenty feet and cause moderate damage. It has two uses. ✧

Meighei Sailor Scout Attack: Clean Sweep! Sailor Sinistra can summon an old looking broom and with a quick sweeping gesture, send a gust of wind at her enemies to knock them off their feet. She can use this skill once a battle, and the broom cannot be used as a weapon or anything tangible. It lasts as long as it takes her to make the sweeping motion, though if she takes longer than half a minute to do so, the broom fades without her using the attack, and she cannot try again until she rests/the next battle. Super Sailor Scout Attack: Sonic Broom! The gust of wind from her broom, now a more modern style one, is stronger in force and she has a full minute to use her attack after summoning the broom to her hand. She can also use this and her first stage attack once each in a battle. Nothing else really changes in her ability. Sinistra was moving before Wezen had a chance to properly digest what was happening. Her reactions were far slower than the human's, though she was not sure if that was because her training and learning was lacking, or because Sinistra was of a higher rank. Sinistra had been at this fighting thing for a lot longer than Wezen: there had been no such thing on her world.
Or at least, the dead had no reason to fight one another.
Wezen had allowed herself to get too far from Sinistra, despite the senshi's worry and pleas to go back, and now she saw the consequence of that action. She had not purposefully been stubborn, but the result was the same. Sinistra called her magical broom to her hand, swinging it as hard as she could at the fire.
"Sonic BROOM!" She yelled, throwing all her weight into the motion to create a gust of wind that met the fire racing toward Wezen. but it meant she could not stop the ones coming at her. She let out a cry and hit the ground as she was hit, but Wezen was left unharmed.
The alien turned, almost startled. A strange, unfamiliar feeling rose in the pit of her stomach, crawling its way up through her chest and into her throat. She turned toward the source of the flames, charging forward with her fists clenched. It did not matter what the creature was: it was Chaos, and it hurt her friend. Though she could not define it for herself, Wezen was angry.

Ethe watched as one bolt of flame hit and the other was knocked away by the wind. They growled. What was that broom she had summoned? Ethe did not like it. It made a harsh sweeping noise as it brushed the air. Ethe lunged forward and tried to grab it with their teeth. ✧

Meighei (maybe my post wasn't super clear, I'll try to be better about which character is doing what ;-; sorry ) Sailor Scout Attack: Hologram Ghost Wezen holds up her hands and summons the spectral image of a small ghost. It is unique to each enemy, often inspired by their fears or memories. It screams and lunges at the target, directly at their face. When it connects it passes through its target and dissolves, leaving behind a white hot pain where it made contact for a few seconds. The feeling lingers as the pain fades, a sensation of not being alone in ones own body, of being haunted, and a crawling of the skin taking up the rest of the spells duration. 30 Seconds Three Uses Ten feet With Sinistra on the ground, the magical broom was only flickering in her hand. It was useless, while not being swung, and she grimaced as she tried to get to her feet. She saw the youma charging at her, instinct telling her to raise the broom in defense since it seemed he wanted to bite it anyway, but there was no point. Its jaws would just pass right through.
And hopefully not snap into anything too important instead.
Wezen, though her attack went ignored and she presumably missed in her swing, righted herself and moved to cut the beast off instead. She held up one hand, calling her magic despite not knowing if it would effect a youma like this.
"Hologram Ghost." She sounded deathly calm, but inside, she felt a burning fire roiling.

Their teeth passed through the broom and they were momentarily confused. Well, at least the girl was on the defensive now. Time to really go for her… But they were stopped by Wezen. Even with two heads, they had let her slip from their sight. Now she was casting a spell and both heads could see it as something appeared before them… The ghost took a form from their memory and their fears. A man with a whip appeared. It was hard to tell who they were, but they were dressed like an agent of the Negaverse and, by the look in the youma’s eyes, they were scared of the man. The man whispered a word and suddenly the youma froze in obedience, only to get the full force of the attack to the face. They howled as white hot pain permeated their fur. They whined and backed up with their tail between their legs. They were no longer looking at the senshi. ✧

Wezen saw the youma cowering, and was driven to keep fighting it, but a soft sound of pain from Sinistra had her stop in her tracks. She looked down at her injured friend, unsure of just how badly she was damaged by that attack. Human anatomy had been given a basic overview in her studies, but she certainly did not know much about keeping them from falling apart.
Dying.
Generally, death did not bother her. Her planet was a prison, where the dead were sent to die, or so the tales were told. There was no life there, only work and suffering. But when it was all one knew, there was no frame of reference for anything else. She had never known, until coming here, how dark and cold it really had been. If it taught her anything, right away, it was that she never wanted to go back to something like that. And she did not want anyone to suffer that way.
If Sinistra was in pain, that took priority. She moved to her roommate and easily scooped her up into her arms while the youma was struggling with its visions. She had a few moments to make sure Sinistra was situated safely before she turned to run. Not looking back made it a little easier, but it still felt cowardly and strange, fleeing from a battle she was not sure she had lost.
But her roommate was all she had. She would not risk losing her.
