The Aftermath

After the Aishan trees had suddenly and furiously bloomed, pollen had started to fall from the sky in never before seen quantities. The sun seemed choked by its presence and the breeze currents seemed to carry it across all of Tendaji.
Curiously enough, the impact of the pollen could be seen in earthlings...
Random earthlings across Tendaji saw cracks and fissures in their skin, shedding as if they had a sunburn. New skin tones shone through from underneath. Almost as if by magic new eye colors and crystal colors emerged with a night's rest. Earthlings changed overnight without regard to their family lineage. Brothers and sisters now sported new colors; mothers and daughters that once looked like spitting images captured the eyes of many with their sudden differences.
What could be made of these changes? The world was in upset, some overjoyed and thrilled at the new colors, others in despair as their self views shifted beneath their feet.
[ Earthlings (and those with earthling blood) have started to suddenly change colors! What does your character make of the changes? Did they change too, or do they just witness the new looks of someone close? Are they fascinated in this sudden new change, or are they in the throws of woe? Let us know how your character handles the change in the world! ]
Color Change Instructions
|| Either at the very beginning of the WE or at the very end, the owner(s) should create a post dedicated to the new colors chosen if they choose to update their palette.
|| Owners do not have to change all of the character's colors, they can opt to change just one, a few, or all.
|| Owners should specifically post which new swatch they would like (no CC, this event is for owners who specifically want new colors for their characters).
|| Characters can only choose new swatches in the race that is already established. (A hybrid with fire skin can ONLY choose fire skin, just a new shade. A hybrid with leaf crystals can ONLY choose leaf crystals, etc.)
|| Aishan hybrids that have earthling colored skin can choose to update their skin tone and the staff will decide whether their fade needs to be updated as well (if applicable). We will pick the fade color best suited to the character, owners only have to pick the base skin tone.
|| ONLY earthling colors can be updated. Aishan and Kahikinan colors are not affected by this event.
|| All updates will be made during the next growth of the character!
|| Characters can update their swatches individually of their families (colors chosen will not affect any other character in the shop).
|| Any breeding moving forward will use these new colors (consider these new swatches new genetics).

He yawned as he stretched out his arms. He'd fallen asleep in the hammock after watching a bunch of pollen fall from the sky and almost block out the beautiful sun. It had caused him to sneeze a bit but it had mostly gotten in his hair. Zohra had had to shake it out of his hair on more than one occasion. It was thick then and from the looks of it now it was still falling in large batches. He had to wonder what plant it had come from. Which flower was releasing so much pollen that the skies were darker?

When the pollen had arrived in the skies she'd done her best to hole up indoors. Of course that hadn't stopped the little persistent particles from getting everywhere. Including in her eyes. It didn't help that she'd rubbed her eyes with pollen covered hands by accident. The pollen had gotten in the pages of her book and she'd tried to wipe it clean. A lot of good that had done.
Now she was on her way to her Aunt's house with her book in both hands to keep it tucked close to her chest and away from the pollen still polluting the sky.

Zasha was back at the family home for a visit, but the weather didn't seem to want to cooperate..wait that was..pollen. Argh and it was everywhere. She waved her hand ineffectually in front of her face, she should have a mask on! She put one on, just in case but well, she didn't know how much help it would be now that she had already been coated in it.
She was happy that the other trees were mature but need they be quite that exuberant about it?
She shook her head bemused and checked on her siblings. Scratching idly at her skin which was itchy, must be the pollen. Yuck. Maybe she was allergic. She was fighting panic when she saw her brother.
"Rath?"

He was still half asleep when he came out and saw his sister who was scritching her arms like they itched. "Hey, what is blocking out the sun? Is there a storm? Why is everything...dusty."
His brow furrowed and he realized he too was sort of itchy. "Icky stuff if it makes you itch, I should have stayed in bed I think." He about faced as if to go back in. But something in his sisters look stopped him. "What? Do I have something on my face?" He asked her ernestly. Rathian very much cared about his looks at this tender teenage stage.
"Spit it out sis!" He yelled at her, tired of her staring.

He had heard the commotion on the other side of the house so he got up and made his way toward the familiar voices. When he poked his head around the corner he noticed that his sister was scratching like crazy. "You should probably go inside." If she was itching that bad then it couldn't be good for her.
Zohra was about to look at his little brother but Sio caught his attention. "Hey Sio. You okay?" From where he was it looked like her eyes might be watery, almost as if she had been crying.

Sio 2 Just as she heard her cousins a big sneeze snuck up on her. Siofa almost dropped her book because of it. A sniffle later and she looked at Zohra with a frown and a shake of her head. "No. This pollen is awful." She'd gotten more confidence over the years to speak to her family in short sentences. Though to her it felt like she had become a chatter box. Moving her gaze over to Zasha she smiled shyly and waved. "Hey Zasha." She then looked toward Rathian and simply tilted her head as she stared at him.

There they were, there were Sio and Zohra, she felt better immediately. "Oh, Sio are you okay?" She dragged her eyes off of her cousin and then seized her brother by the jaw to examine the crystal on his face. "My gods they have changed," she looked at the other two, "Lookit! He changed colors like one of those lizards! Lizard Brother. You didn't ..kiss any reptiles lately Rathian?"
She smirked, and itched. Gods she was itchy too, ugh. Her skin was darker underneath, a lot darker. Her brows furrowed. She took a deep breath. It was fine, everything was fine, not it wasn't had Aire somehow caused her to have a reaction with a potion spill? She didn't remember any and it was affecting her siblings too..A lock of her hair fell in her face and she shreiked. It was BLUE. She looked into Rathian's eyes...his dark morph eyes that she had never seen. Weird. "Are my eyes the same?" She asked, dreading the answer. Her BEAUTIFUL SELF was going to look so different after this!

Rathian 2 Rath batted at his crazy sister who while well behaved around Aire was still Zasha the terrible with her family. She was def his sister there was no doubt about that. When that didn't work, "Wow, you got a tan, where did you go the sun?" He asked as he too began to itch too. His skin hadn't started to flake off yet but chances are it would be something similar to what was happening to the others. "What the heck is going on here? Did we get one of those ancient spells cast on us? And no I have been kissing exactly 0 reptiles, thanks so much for asking." He squinted at Zasha, "Uh sis, your uh crystals are uh well they are ..purple."

Everyone seemed to take notice of her all at once and it made her freeze. She might be more used to the attention but it still startled her. Still, she managed a nod of her head. "Yeah.. pollen got in the book." Since she had taken a liking to books then her family would know how she felt about them getting dirty.
She turned her attention to Zasha and Rath only to see the differences in them. "Oh.. uhm.. you look different." She pointed at both of them. When she looked back at Zohra she noticed his hair was off as well. "You too."

He watched his siblings do what they normally did, which was show way too much energy. Of course he looked at Sio when she mentioned the book. "Oh sorry Sio. Maybe we can dust it." As long as pollen didnt stain the pages it should be fine.
At the mention of everyone looking different he took a better look at his family. It was true. Things about them were different or off. "We'll that's weird.." When Siofra said he was different as well he looked at her. "Same for you. Your eyes aren't the same." The family had a signature green for their eyes anSio'ans had gotten, much lighter.
Zohra turned to his sister. "So Rath didn't kiss a lizard.. what about you? Your science guy do an experiment on you?"

Zasha's heart dropped for her cousin. She knew what it was like to get a book dirty. She liked reading, she just usually couldn't sit still very long that was all.
Zasha hoped it wasn't a staining thing like some foods were, it was hard to lift out stains on paper.
She had two favorite books and was always very careful when she handled them. They were very worn already and precious.
"Is your book okay?" She asked.
"Haha no, and how would it have gotten to you guys even if he did." She hoped he hadn't she was covering for him. Though he really hadn't done anything too transmorphic lately, just regular explosions which were all in good fun. This just reminded her that she was away from him and oh, who was making sure he slept? And...ate. Ugh. "What about you? You get us cursed somehow?" She asked Zoh, in a teasing tone, so he would know she was joking.
"Purple?!" Her head swung very swiftly back toward Rathian, one of their youngest siblings.

Rathian 3 He gave his cousin side eye. "Yeah purple, you said mine were changed to a different blue," So strange! "The heck was in that dust?" That might be the answer. Happy trees, unhappy morphology. Wah! "As if being a teenager wasn't enough." He thought he had to think about manning up while he sparkled like a little rainbow crystal and spontaneously changed his whole appearance in a probably irreversable way, something this wide spread must be great magic. Great magic probably woudln't just easily turn back like sad magic. UGH. "We don't even look like us anymore." He hissed as his skin also started to flake. "My gods the itching!" He sawed at his arm with his nails revealing darker skin. "So weird, I look like you!" Rathian's eyes widened. "Uh sis, your uh hair and eyes are different too, you did a complete color change... like a lizard. LIZARD CURSE." He couldn't help but rib her back, she deserved it for that earlier comment. "I can't believe this is happening." They were unbecoming and becoming someone else at least on the outside entirely keeping at minimum their bone structure and crystal pattern. What in all the hells was going on?
