[Aselia 1 -- If this isn't allowed for Aselia These posts will be transferred to an extremist instead]

Another thunderstorm, Aselia cursed as Popoie was forced to make another landing. Neither her nor the vibrant Kinfa could see well in the rainfall, there was also no point in risking a strike from a bolt of lightning either. Just another storm that kicked up over yael. She had been following some information she had gleaned from some travelers that had sent her here. A certain hybrid was still haunting her dreams at night. The hybrid had been spotted on Yaels shores.

Dismounting the avian creature the Alkidike woman pulled a cloaked hood up over her head. Fighting against the wind to pull her cloak tightly around her body. The cold droplets of rain blowing in the wind felt like tiny insect bites repeatedly over her skin. Her cloak was just as much protection from the elements as it was to keep from her markings being seen.

Turning to press her face into her feathered companion the woman waited out the current storm. Once it had passed Aselia pulled out a roll of parchment paper, her bug like eyes scanning over the markings. She couldn't be that far now, the last sighting of the girl was in the city north of where they were currently resting. Shielding her eyes from the downpour, she surveyed the surrounding area. It wasn't like she could see a pair of tracks in the ground after the storm she had just been standing through.

Pooling some saliva in her mouth, the mystic swirled it around to gather as much of the grit and sand as she could before spitting it out. Reaching towards her hip for a water skin. The top popped off easily, the cool liquid rushing from the opening into her open mouth, she greedily gulped down several mouthful's. She was about to climb back on Popoie when she heard a disturbance in the distance.

Thunderstorms were a normal thing and Lynx had grown up with them so he wasn't as bother as others might have been. So when one blew through he easily put his hood up and positioned himself and Teiluj on the safer side of Banshee before pulling a heavy cloth over them all. The janarim stood tall in the gusts and simply shut his eyes and turned his head to avoid getting attacked by the airborne water droplets.

Lynx held Teiluj close to him to make sure she stayed warm in the downpour. Once things calmed down and it was safe to remove the cloth he did so. "You alright? Not too cold are you?" He fussed over the healer.

Banshee waited just long enough for the cloth to be taken down before he gave a full body shake. He had water clinging to him and he was over the coldness. "Banshee!" Lynx scolded his mount. The janarim simply look at him before snorting to clear his nose. The beast charmer could only roll his eyes at the creature's antics.

[Teiluj 1]

Not being accustomed to the storms in Yael it was easy for Teiluj to follow Lynx's lead. Her head was turned so it was resting gently on the male hybrids chest. She could hear his steady heartbeat, her golden eyes only barely open as she took note of the protective fabric over their heads. She silently wondered if Banshee was okay standing protectively over them like that. Brushing one hand over Lynx's upper arm, Teiluj reached out to pet the Janarim gratefully. "Banshee wont be hurt like that?" Teiluj tried to ask amid the howls of the storm.

It had been a while since she had been this close with Lynx. Over the past few weeks since his family visit, Teiluj had been busy finding ways to help out around the house. Going so far as to search out a teacher to help her hone her skills. Which in turn was bringing in some coin. She was beginning to think that the night of his mother and sister's visit had been just a product of time and place. There had been no further discussion or attempts since.

As the storm passed Teiluj blushed at Lynx's fussing, moving to help remove the cloth from over their heads so they could easily pack it away. She shook her head with a soft shy smile, letting him know she was alright.

Opening her mouth to say something Teiluj couldn't help the light hearted giggle that escaped her. Bringing her hands up to shield herself from the extra dropplets of water the janarim was shaking loose. "Awe, you must be itchy." Teiluj cooed, reaching out to give the beast a few scratches. "Does that feel better now?"

[Aselia 2]

Clearing her somewhat dry throat, the Alkidike woman raised her head. Listening intently to the sounds in the distance. It was close enough she could hear, but not within sight. She had surmised it was likely over the steep hill. Huffing indignantly Aselia started her assent up the damp terrain. Irritated that the mud was not as easy to scale or climb as the daughter tree. That didn't stop her though. One step in front of the other she continued up towards the peak.

It took some time before she had managed the climb, shielding her eyes once again from the rain, Aselia spotted a caravan not far below her. One of the members was recognizably an Elaria. They would certainly help her, of that Aselia was sure. Feeling the drag of the cloak in the wind as another gust picked up the mystic found it easier to slide her way down the muddy hill than to pick her steps.

"Cousin," Aselia called out with a wave. Smiling when she was greeted formally by the other woman.

"Aselia! By the tree what brings you out this way?" Her eyes glanced towards the direction of the Elarian tree. "You've room to leave-"

"I seek a hunt." Aselia raised her hand to quickly cut the girl off. Ignoring her traveling companions. "A hybrid, pale skin, purple stones, golden eyes. Alkidike."

The young girl paused contemplating her various encounters. She couldn't recall seeing any pale skinned Hybrids in the area. It was predominately Yaeli in the area, and something like what the mystic was describing would certainly stand out and leave a mark.

"Sandy blonde hair?" A gruff male voice cut in. "That hybrid has been seen infrequently along the shorelines. Never alone though."

Aselia threw an unwelcome glance towards the man. What was with these earthlings speaking when they weren't given the room too. She had completely missed the Elarian's hand gestures to remain silent. The Alkidike turned to face the man now, her eyes narrowing at him. "And have you any idea where she's currently traveling?"

The man shrugged his shoulders. "She's a healer down near the edge of the city. Travels around outside sometimes. Not much to tell." Aselia pulled a few coins out of a bag on her hips. Twirling them between her fingers. "Oh but you might find her a few leagues outside of the city to the west. She's got a spot there where she's been seen-"

Good enough, Aselia figured. Flicking the two coins at the man raising her right hand to whistle for her Kinfa mount. Ignoring the now loud whispering reprimand from the girl.

Banshee loved the attention. He even gave Lynx a slightly smug look that almost gloated at the attention he got.

Lynx on the other hand shook his head. "Banshee is fine. You wouldn't believe how many times I had to track him down in sandstorms as a pup." The janarim had been one of the more difficult ones to tame since he'd gotten him honestly from the wild rather than a breeder. "You keep spoiling him like that and he'll think he needs to be dramatic to get your attention. " He chuckled.

Holding his hand out for Teiluj and motioned with his head. "Ready to keep going? I know the lake isn't far inland so we should be able to find some beasts." Lynx had wanted to go out and wrangle a beast or two so he could work with them to trade in the markets. Yaeli beasts brought in a good price back in Oba.

[Teiluj 2]

"Awe, but Banshee totally deserved it. It's not easy keeping us sheltered in the weather like this." Her fingers continued scratching Banshee's hide in search of the 'magic spot'.

Catching sight of his hand out of the corner of her eyes Teiluj beamed up at Lynx. Reaching out with her own hand, sliding it into the mans hold. A small act of reassurance. Shivering a little against the rain, Teiluj wiped her forehead, her eyes taking in all the sights she could see of Yael. "What kind of an animal are you hoping to find out here?" Teiluj asked.

[Aselia 3]

Poppies arrival came with a loud screech as the kinfa landed. It was clear the avian wasn't much in the mood for flying with feathers as soaked as they were. "Forgive me friend. I've a debt to settle, we will be back home soon." Producing a treat Aselia reached up to rub Popoies beak. Waiting till the bird was once again ready for flight.

While the storm had eased the rain had not stopped falling. Flight was harder and slower now. Her eyes trained sharp over the land. Eventually settling upon a pair of travelers and a janarim. Shifting her weight to stear Popoie closer to the ground Aselia launched off her kinfa. Reaching for her whip that was the hybrid!

The whip snapped forward entangling itself around Teilujs ankles. Dragging her backwards. Aselia was not taking any chances, not this time. Her body landing and rolling towards the hybrid. Aselias free hand reached out towards Teiluj, gripping the girls hair in her hands as she pulled the smaller girl to her feet.

"Found you." She snarled

Lynx 3

Banshee was starting to lean into Tei's affections as she searched for the right spot but when she left him to go to Lyns the janarim huffed slightly. He turned his head to look at the hybrid girl and see what made her stop. When he realized the scratches were done he shifted so that he could face the same direction as them, ready to go.

"Uh huh. The rain did him good. He needed a bath." Lynx joked about his familiar as he smiled at Teiluj. Having her hand in his he pulled her closer to him so that he could wrap his arms around her, keeping her close. "I should have gotten you something warmer to wear. I forgot that Yael isn't as hot as Oba and it tends to rain more here." Hopefully she wouldn't get sick from the weather change.

His attention was gained by the sound of wings. Kinfa weren't all that common in Yael - nor were other large avian beasts. Lynx turned his head so that he could see the bird and was taken off guard when a whip was sent at them. Or more specifically at Teiluj. So shocked by the attack he had a momentary lapse that allowed for his girlfriend to be yanked off her feet and pulled toward the assailant. As Tei's hair was being grabbed Lynx was moving toward Aselia with his dagger now in his hand. Normally he was gentle and would never harm others, especially females, but this one was a threat to Teiluj. "Impetum!" He shouted the command to Banshee so that the beast would know it was time to attack the stranger.

[Teiluj 3]

"If feels nice though." Teiluj mused, leaning into Lynx's arms with a large grin spreading across her face. "It's a welcome break from the bright sun and the heat. I don't think I'm really meant for it. Not like you. It really doesn't feel that cold to me." Wiggling out of Lynx's embrace she turned to tease him a little, giving a slight twirl to show off her new clothes. "Besides don't you like this new outfit?"

Sounds of feathers beating in the air interrupted their playful conversation. Teiluj barely had time to register what was happening. Giving a yelp as the ground came rushing up to meet her. Her feet unable to move, it felt like a boulder had been dropped on her before she was finding herself yanked off the ground by her hair.

The voice of an alkidike that Teiluj had fought against in the past filled her ears. A woman she knew to be part of the extremists. This time however, the woman was much stronger than before. Whimpering, Teiluj tried to kick her feet out but was met with resistance. Her golden eyes looked straight at Lynx, then to Banshee. "It's Aselia." Teiluj shouted. Her hands moving to brace her hair as Aselia yanked her backwards. Grabbing hold of the woman's wrists. "Let go." Teiluj demanded of the woman. She struggled to twist and writhe within her grasp.

[Aselia 4]

Aselias eyes turned to the male hybrid. Swiftly reaching around her body to grab one of her hand axes. Raising it to Teilujs throat. "Well that track, leave you to find someone who can't even be a proper Oban." Aselia mocked, her eyes narrowed as she scanned him over. "Ew, hes even more of a mess than you are." Aselia snarled into Teiluj's ear.

Taking note of the janarim rushing her way, Aselia pressed the sharp blade into Teiluj's throat. Just enough to draw blood. Her mind quickly working to connect the dots. "Call that thing off, Crystal Crawler. I have no desire to hurt any of the creatures of this land. I've only come for this disgusting thing, she got away once. She wont get away again." Was he partnered to the dirty creature in her hands? Or were all hybrids just naturally protective of each other?

Aselia stood waiting to see the boys reaction, giving a shout for her Kinfa to join the fray. Popoie didn't disappoint, her body bearing down with tallons outstretched. "Who do you think runs faster? The hunter, or the prey?" Aselia shouted.

Lynx 4

Hearing Teiluj yell the name of her assailant made him realize he'd heard the name before. When asked if there were any enemies that they should be worried about in the event they had children. His mother had asked that question. So it was this woman? She called him a crystal crawler and he instantly knew she was on the more extremist side of things.

Aselia put a hand axe to Tei's throat but he was already in motion. As a distraction he threw his dagger at her head. It would force the alkidike to dodge or get hit and kept his weapon well away from the hybrid girl. With Aselia distracted from his dagger he kept up his advance. "Sorry." Was all he said before he reached out with both hands. One went to Teiluj, shoving her back into the other woman so that the blade of the axe wasn't touching her throat anymore. The second grabbed Aselia's wrist and pulled it away from Teiluj as he positioned his feet and spun his body, forcing the alk's arm to come with him. He was aiming to break the limb. Aselia would need to release Teiluj in order to deal with him.

Banshee didn't back off since no such command was given. Of course his target changed when the Kinfa got involved. Avian talons were pitted against his own as the beast leaped at the bird. Jaws open in a roar and an attempt to latch onto anything given within reach, whether it be a wing, a leg, or a throat, Banshee was intent on sinking his fangs into the creature.

[Teiluj 4]

The feel of the cold metal on her skin, followed by the warmth of her blood against her neck had the hybrid crying out in pain. Tears brimming in the corner of her eyes. Her hair hurt to be pulled on, and the lingering threat of Aselia's axe slicing into her neck was paralyzing her. Fear gripped her, was she really just going to die here and now? Sucking in a deep breath, Teiluj tried to prepare herself mentally for the cut that she was sure would come. Maybe if she held her breath long enough, she could heal her neck before she bled out?

"He's not a mess." Teiluj retorted, clenching her jaws together. "I don't care who or what mix he is. I care what's in his heart."

Teiluj found herself wishing she had brought her companions along with them. It had been one of the few times she had left them both behind. Whimpering Teiluj tried to break out of Aselia's hold.

[Aselia 5]

The alkidike didn't have time to respond to Teiluj, her eyes catching the glint of a blade aimed at her head. Aselia barely reacted in time, the blade catching the tip of her ear. Now she was angry. The shove from the man drew her full attention, unable to stop the man from grabbing her wrist Aselia snarled as her one hand released Teiluj. "So that dirty creature must be yours. Or, are you here little pet?" Aselia turned her attention towards the male hybrid. She wasn't done with Teiluj just yet. Giving a whistle, Aselia kicked up the handle of her whip into the air.

Allowing her body to follow through with the motion already set by Lynx, bending forward with her free hand reaching between her legs one hand gripped around the mans calf with the hooked edge of her axe catching his ankle between the hilt and dull end of the blade. Pulling out to unbalance the hybrid . "So I guess your answer is the prey."

Popoie shifted her attack, her talons narrowly missed being caught by Banshee. A new command had been given. Tucking her wings in tight, the kinfa barrel rolled to the side. Spreading them once again as she pushed herself out of reach from the janarim. Her new sights set on the handle of the whip. A swift flight and she had taken hold of the object. Pulling it up into the sky. Aware the of the weight dangling on the end of it.

Lynx 5

He heard Tei's response to what the Alk said but he couldn't really address it. He was occupied with other things at the moment. Later he'd tell her how much he cared for her. For now he needed to really focus on the fact that his balance was being thrown off. Lynx ignored Aselia as she spoke, knowing she was just trying to make him angry. He'd been taught from a young age that when someone was angry they made mistakes in a fight. It was why his mother was so good at what she did - she had a knack for pissing people off.

He followed the foot that Aselia pulled out, keeping his balance even though he knew it would give her some slack on the arm he had intended to break. He kept a firm grip on he wrist, however, to keep at least of one her arms out of play for the moment. With his free arm he reached over and wrapped it around the alkidke's waist so that he could lift her up off the ground. Provided she didn't flail like a fish then he'd pivot to slam her face first into the ground.

In the back of his mind he was worried about Teiluj but he knew that so long as Aselia was conscious she was a threat. He needed to take her out of the equation if he wanted to be able to help Tei in an effective way.

Banshee landed hard and moved to redirect his momentum. It caused his talons to dig into the ground, causing large gouges in the dirt, but he managed to turn. He was a hair slower than the bird that rolled but he was quick on the uptake to run after it. Just as the Kinfa got hold of the whip he leaped again. This time the janarim was going to sink both talons and fangs into the large bird's back.
